This is my favorite B&B I have ever stayed at anywhere. It's run by a family who's owned the house for generations, and you can feel the history in the house. The house is beautiful, with terrazzo floors and antique furniture. You have access to the roof terrace and common living room and kitchen, which overlooks a canal. Nobody else was there the weekend we stayed, so she offered to upgrade us to the suite and we had the entire place to ourselves. The suite is gorgeous and very comfortable for a couple. It was my favorite room I've ever stayed in. The upstairs room was a bit smaller and equally charming, and would also be great for a couple. The whole house was so romantic. The host was amazing, and she was always available if we needed any help or recommendations. She left us breakfast every morning, which was simply coffee, bread, jams and salami. It was perfect for us to have a snack before going out for the day! The neighborhood was our favorite in Venice - not too touristy, lots of locals, quiet but plenty of amazing places to eat and drink within a 5 minute walk. It was just lovely and I can't say anything bad about it. Thank you for having us! I will be back someday <3

 my wife and I were looking for a location that was quiet, but still close to the key attractions in Venice. We found it, received a wonderful room, and enjoyed the relaxing sounds of gondolas pass by in the adjacent canal. As we were told, the building’s structure was constructed in the 1400s, and the inner decorations and furniture reflects a personalized style befitting of a bed-and-breakfast, yet reflects the charm of a family owned building, whose owners share their lives adventures with those who take time to look at the details.

On the whole, there were no inconveniences about the property that I feel are significant enough to comment on them to the general public. The stay was great and I would recommend this location, particularly to couples looking to get some time alone.

It's a beautiful old house next to a canal. The location is very good- sits in a quiet corner but only a short walking distance from a popular Rialto bridge. We also got a key so we were able to move as we pleased. The B&B has a roof-terrace. This was a big bonus for us- it allowed us to still enjoy the city while taking short breaks from walking around during the day:) All in all very friendly experience

The hostess doesn't speak English (and I , sadly, don't understand Italian). It wasn't a big problem but just something to take into account

The room and property were immaculately clean and cleaned daily. The host, was extremely nice and accommodating. The location is great as it’s not to far from the water buses but also close to the city centre. The roof terrace has a 360 view of the city with flowers and chairs and a table to catch the sun and sunset. Breakfast each morning was made and served with fresh Italian coffee and juice. The room was very spacious with lounge furniture, which made it nice to not have to rest on the bed during the day.

Ca' Maddalena is a beautiful old Venetian house not far from the Rialto Bridge. The hostess Yvonne was very warm and accommodating - she only speaks Italian, but we were able to communicate easily through the use of signs and gestures. We were very happy to meet her and would come back anytime!

The reception was perfect very friendly and kind lady. We struggled to get to the place as there was no clear location of the entrance but as we got in the reception was perfect, we felt very comfortable and happy.

The bed made a bit of noise during our private time.

Great location, lots of shops, cafes and bars in area, short walk to St Marks Square.

Everything was excellent.

It’s vintage but absolutely clean and tidy. Mrs Ivonne does all the maintenance herself at the age of 80. the service was very professional. though she couldn’t speak English, we somehow managed with some signs combined with speaking …

Not that I didn’t like about this property, in general the fact that there’s a limit to check in time in Venice is a pain in the neck.. We along with many people had to wait whole night in airport due to this as our flight is delayed. Also it was a little challenging that Mrs Ivonne couldn’t speak English and I couldn’t speak or understand Italian. One thing I didn’t like is the Handling company that works for Mrs Ivonne. I notified about flight delay at 8:10 in the evening while my flight new time was 9:20 evening. she saw the message and simply chose to not reply immediately. She replied to my message asking me to find a place for the night as it’ll be very late for the host when we reach at 10:30 (I’m in my flight at that time) and simply switched off her phone. I spent night at airport and reached the property early in morning, Mrs Ivonne and we had challenge with communication and this representative kept her phone off. I was in middle of no where , early morning… such an annoying start of my holiday.. it’s so frustrating to even think about it now. she sent me a text and switched off the phone. And the second number on the page was ringing but they were disconnecting the call.
