This hostel is exceptional. We booked 2 beds in a 6-bed-room but it turns out it is an apartment separated in 3 2-bed bedrooms, so we had a room all to ourselves. The apartment also had a living room and a kitchen with all new things, everything was well designed and minimal style. As you are inside an apartment with 3 rooms with 2 beds each, you share a bathroom of 2 showers and 2 toilets with 6 people, which was very good. You also get huge desks and chairs in your room, and a big closet. Toilets are provided free of charge.

Nothing! All was perfect.

The courtyard with bars for drinks and food is a lovely place to sit and plan the day and relax after busy days. The building is very interesting and has its history explained in the rooms. They had events like an art talk and a clothing market in the communal spaces. The location near Fondamente Nove is perfect for getting around by vaporetti but also easy to walk to Biennale in Giardini and Arsenale. It's 10mins by boat to Murano. There are local food and grocery shops within 10mins walk and plenty of bars and restaurants. So we didn't eat at the Combo restaurant though it looked nice, we did have bacaro from the bar at the front which was a treat. The room had desks which we used for our stuff and stored the suitcases underneath. There were wardrobes in the kitchen which was odd but we got used to it. The staff were always friendly and helpful. The breakfast had a good range of hot and cold food. The coffee was not good but real coffee was available from the bar. We loved staying here and hope to do so again.

Minor points but we had to navigate the bridge with many steps with our suitcases to get to the hotel. This was fine but we hadn't expected this. The room had windows onto the fire escape where occasionally people would chat and smoke. We had a tiny glimpse of the sky. This didn't really matter as we were out all day but it would have been nice to have a view. Our blinds were drawn all the time so no one could look in.

Nice spacious building, very antique and exceptional. Room good, spacious storage place. Great to have shower and wc separate. Room service - 👍

A really nice, clean and exceptional hotel in a historical building. Perfect choice for friends (there was a table between the beds). We had a room with a canal (and sea) view. Perfect location close to everything. Really easy to reach from the airport by waterbus. Tickets to the Alilaguna waterbus can be bought from the ticket machine located in the baggage claim area at the airport (15€ one way).The pier F.Te Nove is located about 200 m from the hotel. Breakfast was good. Last day we left the hotel before the breakfast and they gave us ”breakfast bags” - that was highly appreciated.

It would have been nice to have a small fridge in the room. But the lack of the fridge didn’t bother us much because there were a lot of restaurants near by and also a grocery store was just behind the corner.

Combo is amazing!! I’d go again in a heartbeat. It’s so stylish, so cool, the rooms are beautiful and spacious, the view was stunning, the staff are friendly and knowledgeable, the breakfast is gorgeous… I could go on and on! I’ve been coming to Venice for 30 years and this has been my favourite place to stay by far. We’ll be back 😍

Only tiny things, the doors on the downstairs bathrooms were v heavy and almost impossible to open and close, the shutters on the bedrooms almost impossible to reach and the bathroom had nowhere to put toothbrushes/make up etc. if these things were improved on the place with be a ten for me.

The location was very good just a 2 minute walk from Fte Nove A which is one of the first stops on the Alilaguna waterbus from the airport. It is only a 10 minute walk away from the main tourist area of Venice (Rialto bridge etc) so not too busy. The staff were friendly and explained everything (you have to pay city tax on arrival). The room was very clean and well equipped - a lady came and filled the kitchen with lots of utensils and plates to use. There was different activities in the courtyard such as yoga which you could join and they also streamed all the Euros football matches. The rooms were cool and had air conditioning and it wasn’t loud at night so we had a good nights sleep. The breakfast had hot and cold options which changed daily and even on the last day the staff prepared a breakfast box for us to take with us to the airport. It was also close to a small shop (Coop) to get necessities.

The hostel is so beautiful, especially the cloister where one can just chill and relax after meal and in the evening. The wifi is strong and stable. The location is a bit far north which is away from main attractions, but it's very close to the port when one can take the boat to the airport. The room is clean, the staff is very attentive and friendly.

It's actually a 4 room arrangement, which means you might end up with spending the night with ONE stranger you don't know instead of 7. Not a big deal but just bear in mind. The bathroom situation is slightly tricky for the 8 beds apartment. There isn't much of privacy to get in and out of the shower due to the design. Again it didn't bother me but for those prefer to be able to undress and dress in the shower room in private might have some concern.

very good location next to the ferry stop for easy access to the airport and nearby islands. The staff was very friendly, good breakfast. The most important thing is that the bed in 8 person room does not mean that you all share the room because people are divided into separate rooms for 2 people. For 8 people only the shower and toilet facilities are shared. Overall, everything is clean and new.

it's strange that there's no locked place in the room for your belongings. My roommate (who I didn't know) and I agreed that we could trust each other. When you go out, you can lock the door.

This hotel is a unique experience in a very convenient location. It was very easy to find from the vaporetto and also on foot. It's a beautiful facility. The staff member who helped us print our documents at 5.30am was much appreciated. I would definitely recommend staying in such an interesting facility.

The one pillow per bed was very flat and a little uncomfortable. The light in the toilet is operated by sensor, yet all the other lights are by switches. I am 152cm tall and the light would not come on - no amount of arm waving or jumping up and down would trigger the sensor. The breakfast was quite nice; however, come early as not everything was replenished later in the morning - including bowls. The staff were very stressed at breakfast.

This stunning property is a converted monastery next to a wonderful church. Combo attracts a very broad, international clientele - the vibe is slightly more youth hostel than hotel and the rooms are also designed with that in mind - very spacious with minimal decor and space to study and cook. the location is excellent - close to the waterbus and yet in a less touristic part of town

the furniture was getting a little shabby and could do with some restauration. Someone tried to walk off with my jacket at breakfast and there was no security to check who enters.
