Friendly staff, beautiful town and surrounding areas. Breakfast was above and beyond, very helpful service.

Not a fan of the bath towels, a new material, thin and awkward when drying. Also not a good hook to hang towel.

The hotel was small and quaint. Antonella was extremely accommodating with anything we needed. Our room was small and quaint. Breakfast was substantial and fresh. We could ask for tea or coffee at night and it was no problem. The location was good, right across from the bus, We chose to do the walks to the towns and use the train and bus to return. Antonella gave us great information, we had our car garaged the whole stay. A very enjoyable 3 nights :)

The pillows were thin and hard. The towels were clean but cotton like a tea towel.

The shining star of this accommodation is the owner who is simply a lovely person. She enthused welcome! Also, we found this place after another place cancelled our reservation. We were worried about doing the Cinque Terra from a non Cinque terra town but it worked out just fine. We hiked both days and saw everything we wanted to. Breakfast is custom and amazing. We also went to the local restaurant, on her recommendation, and though nondescript in atmosphere was simply the best food we had in all of Italy!

Fabulous location, just a short stroll into Volastra where there was a small shop and two good restaurants, as well as a vineyard providing excellent tours and tastings. The bus stop is just across the road, getting you down to Manarola in just 10 minutes, The room, bathroom and balcony were all a good size and very clean. Our hostess was wonderful, and gave us a lot of useful information. Parking provided under the building, Decent range of breakfast options and very good coffee.

The pillows were quite flat and the bed a bit on the hard side. The lighting in the room was a bit harsh (very bright bedside lamps, which is a little awkward if one of you is a late-night reader).

Antonella is super nice and helpful. She indicated to us how to get to the Cinque Terre train and towns. The location of the hotel is great because the bus stop is right in front of the hotel and it drives you right to Manarola, the first of the Cinque Terre towns, in minutes. There you can enjoy the town and take the train to visit all the other little towns. The breakfast was super! They have fruits, eggs, pastries, yogurt, and many other options. Of course, with delicious coffee! Our room was very clean and comfortable. We will definitely come back to Il Saraceno when back to visit Cinque Terre.

Everything was great! We liked everything during our stay. We are glad we chose Il Saraceno to stay during our visit to Cinque Terre. I congratulate Antonella on her great job, she is amazing!

Location is good as you have free parking at the hotel and a short drive to the nearest public carpark at Manarola. Highly recommended for visitors with self drive. The rooms are very clean and neat. Great and friendly owner who prepared a great breakfast for us with yummy croissants, juices, yoghurt, hams and a wide variety of eggs such as scrambled eggs, sunny side up eggs upon ordered.

Nice location, very nice staff and welcoming. Break fast is good, you have to choose from the menu the previous evening, so they plan for breakfast accordingly the next morning. The staff is very knowledgable about the area and gave good information to suit your travel plan. The staff is aware/update to date with information of all the local restrictions (functioning and not functioning), including the daily weather conditions. You have access (just across the hotel) to the local bus which brings you to Manarola. We love to return back again. We travelled with our 7 year old son, who liked the place so much and wants one more vacation in the same place. The front desk recommended to buy either one or two days train ticket which would give access to hop-on/off the train to visit places with access to the local bus - this was very informative and saved us spending a lot and were able to visit all the places leisurely.

The location was beautiful and the room was big. The woman helping us was amazing and put together the BEST breakfast. She had all kinds of helpful information that ended up being incredibly helpful during our visit. Fantastic location with a quick and easy local bus ride into Manalora.

There was nothing for us to not like! Everything was amazing. Would absolutely stay here again in the future. The only thing we probably didn't like was that we didn't stay enough days there! Wish we would have booked more!

The hotel is situeted high above costal area in the quiet small village. The room was spacious - if you come for a long stay there is enough place to store several suitcases. Small balcony with a view. The hotel is clean like an ER. The lady at the reception desk warmly welcomed us and provided useful information about 5terre. The rooms are called by the names of the surrounding villages and not by numbers - very nice idea. You need to order your breakfast at the evening, but if you feel hungry - there is a "refill". Few minutes walking from the church there are two hiking roads: to Corniglia and Manarola. Take the path to Corniglia: breathtaking views to the sea and after 10 min you'll reach a boutique winery: take a glass of white wine (or bottle :-) ) and enjoy the sunset. The bus to/from Monarola operates until late evening (~ 23:30), +/- every 30 min with some changes in the schedule in the weekends. The bus stop is 50 m from the hotel

Antonella was amongst the kindest hosts I've ever met. She speaks English percetly and she gave us tons of info about the Cinque Terre - trek routes, public transport, what to visit, etc. She was always very helpful. Volastra is in the middle of the Cinque Terre National Park, the hotel is a 1-minute walk from the bus stop (frequent bus service to Manarola, terminus is close to the train station), and 5-minute walk from the Manarola-Corniglia trek route - ideal for visiting all the 5 villages. Parking for the guests was free in the hotel's garden and garage. The equipments of the rooms are simple yet convenient, they were tidy, the wifi worked well. Breakfast was delicious, the choice was wide - bread, ham, cheese, fruits, croissant, jams, yoghurt, egg, different coffees, cold drinks, etc. There was a cute, friendly cat :) A great value for money.

I only found one minor inconvenience. The breakfast menu completely lacked vegetables, which would have been important in a diabetic diet.
