Location was great. Awesome staff

Would have preferred a better room view. Never saw housekeeping. Was told they come every other day.

Location is unbeatable ....just out the door and down to the riverwalk or over to the Alamo....La Panaderia just down the block and Voodoo donuts in the same building....Room was big with a comfy king sized bed...breakfast was good (though with all the options in the area, might have been better to get without the breakfast package)

Coffee in the lobby had very little taste....Parking with the hotel is $42...but there is a good parking garage just 2 blocks away where it never cost us more than $9....didnt have in and out, but for $27 vs $84, definitely the way to go.

The room was a nice size, quiet, and clean. The bathroom (shower only) was ok too. The lobby was on the 1st floor and nice. The staff was pleasant but didn't try too hard to impress. The balcony/terrace off the lobby level was sunny and lovely. The location was great! All in all a good place to stay.

For nearly 300$ a night, I expected a fancier interior. The main entry door on street level was locked at all times and there was no sign to indicate we needed to enter from the side. The elevator was slow, and one of out of service for a day. The staff was not rude, but not too welcoming either. The entry area on street level was not too inviting.

The location was perfect. Close to everything. We were able to walk everything

The valet could have been better. When we checked out at 5:45am, it took the valet about 40mins to get us our car. I had to go up to the lobby twice to ask about my car.. the lady at the front desk had to give valet my name like 3 times and then had to give them the description of the car before the valet guy could find it. I was already waiting for 30mins at that time. Lucky I'm someone who like to leave early and didn't miss my flight because of this 40 min. Delay.

From the beginning of arriving the valet staff was wonderful, Damien was the gentleman that greet it us and was very informative and his customer service was on point!!! The front desk agent named Marquee was also very friendly helpful and informative his customer service was excellent, I would recommend and will stay at the Hilton Garden Inn San Antonio Downtown Riverwalk again in my future trips to SA!! Breakfast Buffet was also a plus the ladies and the chef Rene were wonderful and the food tasted amazing!! Can’t say enough about my experience. It has definitely topped my stays at many hotels near this one and I’m glad I made my reservation here.

I loved everything about this property!!!

Front desk staff was top notch. Parking/Valet easy and fast. Appreciated the extra security accessessing the building. Bed, pillows, and linens are super soft and comfortable. Love using the app to open the doors. Good water pressure in the shower. Close to EVERYTHING. I could not have chosen a better place. And it's Hilton, all my expectations were met.

Fab location for visiting downtown San Antonio. Very close to The Alamo and to the river. Recommend walking along the river the The Pearl Brewery (about 1½ miles). The river walk is fabulous with some great bars an restaurants very close to the hotel. Breakfast was great (except cereals, see below). Lovely mushroom & cheese omelette and plenty of bacon

My sole criticism of this hotel is that all the cereals on offer for breakfast were sugar coated or chocolate. Not great for people trying to reduce sugar intake.

Location was great, a block off the River walk. I was disappointed in the "city view". (Our room faced the building next door). Service was amazing. Courtney at the valet station was amazing, fun and friendly. It could definitely use a hot tub, but I liked the rooftop pool/patio area

the room was smaller than I thought it would be, for what we paid. And the "city view" wasn't a view from our window it was the building next door. Price of valet parking was off. At check-in I was told $42 a day plus tax but the sign by the valet said $39 plus tax.

The room was quiet and clean. Staff was so nice and attentive. Loved the texts to make sure all was well.

There was an awful odor when we first walked in and thought we might have to change rooms. Charles the maintenance man took care of it for us. It ended up being the epoxy that glued the new TV to the cabinet. Charles was very efficient and apologetic about the inconvenience and offered us free bottles of water. I was grateful for his help! Breakfast wasn't great, we had the buffet. Most of the food was cold and the lady running the place wasn't very friendly. She kept referring to the buffet as "My Buffet", My, My My! AND it was nothing to brag about...Sorry! I thought I should be honest, I don't like complaining, but this needed to be said.

The hotel location is great (just 3 minutes walk to the River Walk), the front deck staff are very professional and helpful, and the breakfast is good. The valet staff was kind to direct me to park my car at the multistorey carpark next to the hotel for cheaper parking charges.

The 2 things that did not met my expectation were: (1) the room is a bit small, and (2) the air-conditioner is noise when setting the fan speed at High level.
