Great place to stay for leisure and for a short stay around Yamanakako. The place is fairly far from public transport (~20min of walk) so ideally a car would be desirable to access the place

The host took great care to ensure that the room was clean and comfortable for us during our stay. Though it was very cold ( 4 degrees) and raining outside, we felt quickly warmed up his hospitality as well as the fireplace placed at the entrance of the building. There was also an air conditioning unit to heat up the air plus floor heating inside our room. The facilities inside helped to keep my teenagers happily occupied the entire evening as we chose to stay indoor due to the rain. Highly recommend this place if you are driving.

The temperature of the onsen was too hot for us to dip in.

Everything about this place exceeded our expectations. The room was a good size with a good view of Mt Fuji, the beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of space in the room for them. Everything was clean and orderly. The games room was awesome for my daughter, and having a movie night in the common room cinema was so cool. The bathing facilities were totally unexpectedly awesome. Our breakfast was very nice, coffee was amazing, and the owner was such a lovely man, very caring and you can tell he takes great pride in the property. Riding the provided bikes to the lake (and stopping along the way at Zeit bakery for breakfast) was very convenient. We saw wild deer and squirrels all around the property and out of our windows. We loved this little town and staying at Ryosha Tsukiakari was the perfect place to start and end each day.

There was nothing about this place that we can fault.

Another place We would love to have stayed longer. A great place to visit is you want to get a feel of traditional culture and lifestyle also has a onsen which was fantastic not a natural spring but just as good. Theres a lot of extras like bikes to ride. Staff are fantastic and extremely helpful. Unfortunately the weather was a little unkind for us so we didn’t get to see Mt Fuji in all its glory- another time

There wasn’t really anything i could fault with the place except for other guests maybe being a little noisy- walls were a little thin - but you can get that anywhere

What makes this place special is that it is not a hotel - it is an inn, with a family feel, as if you belong there. Our first impression was that we would have preferred our own shower in the room, but on using the amazing bathrooms downstairs (which you can share or book a time), they have onsen/hot spa, with a view. We had an amazing time riding the free bikes around the lake with uninterrupted views of Mt Fuji, walks, sat in the lounge and read/watched a movie on the big screen, sat on the deck and had a local craft beer, played table tennis. The owner/manager is amazingly helpful and pleasant. While some of our other stays in Japan were in 'smarter' looking rooms, they did not have the welcoming family feel of Ryosha Tsukiakari. We would definitely stay there again (for longer and do more walks/rides).

This is not really a negative, and turned out to be more of a positive attribute...the property is about a ten minute ride/walk from the lakeside cafes etc, but then that is why it is so quiet and so beautiful among the forest. The lakeside is handy, sure, but busier. We enjoyed the rides to the lake on the free bikes, and in fact discovered some lanes to ride through to avoid the road, which was nice.

Everything was incredibly perfect and clean. The room was ultra comfortable and spacious. We met Mr. Tomoki who did his best to offer the outmost! It was our first day-night in Japan and we’ll never forget the hospitality, cleanlinesses, the amenities and the way that they treated us! We definitely recommend to take a bath downstairs!

The whole hotel was a bit cold but not that much in order to feel unpleasant!

The host has a lovely place. Bikes are provided for riding around the town and umbrellas in case it rains. The onsens are private: one first come, first serve and the other reservable in the evening which is so fabulous for those of us not quite used to sharing an onsen with strangers. There's a lovely little theater room that is also reservable, a play room with ping pong and hammocks. Service was wonderful and the breakfast traditional and fun.

We have zero complaints.

The landlord - i assume - were so nice and flexible for us as we were under the difficulties of getting on the bus to the lake Yamanakako prior to the closing check-in time. So i did make a call to notice him in advance. And he were okay to allow us check-in late night also noting is to grab something before arrival in case we haven't had anything yet.

I think the location is challenging for the first time visit. It's not an easily accessible honestly, however the landlord happily assist in calling for local taxi for the guest

The host is so friendly. The place is very quiet and comfortable. Spacious room and there are few facilities that you can use but you have to reserve it. I like the jacuzzi bath and you can use it privately for 1 hour. Dyson hairdryer in the shared bathroom. The room is very clean. There is 1 coin washing machine and dryer in the hotel so you can do your laundry during your stay.

The smell of the room. Not sure what smell is that but overall acceptable. Bed is too soft for me.

The owner was very friendly and nice to chat to. And the coffee that he roasted is very delicious. Anyone who like a good ol' cuppa of coffee in the morning do give it a try! The place is very near Mt Fuji as well and depending on rooms you might be greeted by Mt fuji the first thing in the morning. Very nice place if you just want to be surrounded by nature and quietness.

Nil. It was fantastic. But one thing to take note is that the place of stay is rather far from the main road so driving would be recommended
