I loved my stay at Dormy. I'd go to say, it was the best experience I had for my entire trip, even when comparing the 5 star hotels. Here is why... Great location, right in between Shibuya and Harajuku/Omotesando. (Maybe a little long with luggage to walk from station but doable or cheap taxi ride) I loved the communal hot bath/onsen, sauna and cold plunge. Especially the sauna! I looked forward to it at the end of everyday. The complimentary ice-cream and ice-blocks for after the hot bath. The complimentary freshly made hot noodles at night. Most people ate them in the lobby restaurant wearing their hotel supplied pyjamas. The free washing machines. Staff were really nice. Room was spacious in comparison to other Tokyo 3 star hotel rooms. Bed comfy! I booked in advance and got a great rate! I tried to book again for the end of my Japan trip but prices had tripled. If you book in advance and get a good rate, this is an excellent deal and great hotel! Aircon was great especially given it was a Tokyo heatwave.

I loved everything.

The location is good. It's about 15 min from main Shibuya station on foot, and 7 mins from Harajuku station. It's tucked away behind the main roads so not too noisy apart from the noise of the train going past. The onsen is lovely too, and the free amenities like ice creams and lollies outside the spa were great. We used it when we suffered from jet lag as it's open through the night. The bed was comfortable enough. All in all if you're going to be sightseeing all day and not spending too much time at the hotel, it's perfect. We spent 5 nights here.

The rooms are tiny but I think this is a Tokyo problem rather than a hotel problem. There is barely enough room to open one suitcase and you'd think they'd choose a bed with space underneath to slide your suitcase to overcome this problem. Also, the pillows were awfully uncomfortable.

Location is in walking distance to Shibuya station as well as Harajuku ~10 minutes either way but on a quiet enough street you can get some needed rest after your flight/ a day of walking Tokyo. Our room was overlooking some train tracks but the windows are well insulated and you can barely hear anything at all. The spa on site is excellent, featuring a nice sized onsen as well as a sauna and cold bath, all of which are very nice and kept clean by staff. The changing area of the spa is equipped with various hair, skin and shaving products which we found quite luxurious considering the price of the room. Laundry is available on site and you can even get a key at the front desk to lock the machines if you're worried about somebody walking off with it. Every morning there is free yakult (not name brand but still great) and in the evenings there is free ice cream (4 types to choose) and free ramen. You could happily spend an evening not leaving the hotel if not for it being located in such an amazing area. They also offer free pajamas to wear around the hotel and into the bathing areas. If you're not into public baths, the room shower has excellent water pressure and temperature controls.

The room is quite tiny, we booked a room with a double bed and the bed itself took up about 75% of the floor space. We didn't spend much time in here due to being out and about town but it is somewhat cramped.

I would highly recommend this hotel. We are a family of 4, 2 adults 1 child and 1 infant. We had 2 single beds rooms and when we put them together it was perfect for us. The place is just right for 2 big luggages and a stroller. They had 24/7 reception who can speak english well. The buffet breakfast is had a good variety of both japanese and western food. They have free laundry but the dryer has to be paid. They also have free yakult and ice cream in the laundry area. The location is the best. It is walking distance of Shibuya and Harajuku. There are a lot of restaurants and convenience stores nearby. The hotel is easy to find and in a quiet street.

There are so many things to say. You can store your luggage at the hotel if you arrive earlier than 3pm and the reception is 24/7. The staff are very respectful and nice. Our room although small, was kept clean everyday, amenities was replaced everyday. There is a laundromat on the second floor inside the sauna room which was convenient and you’ll only need to pay 100JPY for 20mins of drying, which dries really well. The sauna is free and is open from 3pm onwards till 5pm. Yakult and ice blocks are also offered for after your sauna session. Breakfast is served between 6:45-9:30am every morning if you’ve opted for breakfast and there is a large option. I’ve stayed in a few hotels in Japan, and it’s the best one so far. It’s convenient located centrally and only 12mins walk from SHIBUYA Sky. They have luggage service that we used to send our luggage to the next hotel for a reasonable price e.g. 15kg was 3640JPY One this is for sure, I will be staying here in the future for my next Tokyo, Japan trip

Excellent location between Shibuya and Harajuku. Facilities are well maintained - clean and comfy. Room is small as per expected in Japan but i love the meticulous details that went into the design and everything you need was included. What i love most was the onsen and free daily supper (soba soup)! Also find the free laundry service and dryer super useful. Will stay again if i revisit Tokyo. Slight suggestion: please consider bringing back the soft water - did wonders to my hair and skin previously!

The default no cleaning policy was a surprise to me having stayed here previous years. However in practice it turned out ok as towels were still changed daily and rubbish was cleared too. For short stay it didn’t make a difference since changing bedsheets daily are not necessary.

The location is amazing! 10min walk from Shibuya station, 10min from Harajuku (heaven for food). The shopping area is right next door. SPA which is open late into night was life saviour after long walks in Tokyo! The staff were very helpful, but they can improve their English a bit. Breakfast was great, would suggest more options when it comes to coffee. Bus station for Shinjuku 1 min away. Overall a really nice place to stay in Tokyo if you like a buzz

The rooms are really small, clean but really small, I guess standard for Tokyo. You get the same price if you go through booking.com or if you book directly which is odd, as usually, you get a better price from direct booking.

1. How great location! There are many subway stations nearby, such as Shibuya, Jingumae. And also you know Shibuya is famous place in Tokyo, there are a lot of shopping malls, restaurants and so on. You can rapidly put down your buying stuffs in your room, and be lightweight tourist! 2. Good facilities Spa is not big, however it’s holy good for resting your tired body. And there are several types shampoos and conditions, so you can choose according to your taste. And more special things, Ice cream and yogurt are provided. Even for free!

1. Some staffs are not cool. I felt like an woman staff is not able to speak English. I requested something in English, however she didn’t understand and didn’t do anything. Just stood there still. I was a little confused. She didn't do anything until other staff members arrived. 2. Cost-effectiveness The location and spa are definitely great, but it is a bit pricey for the facilities and staff skills.

The location in Tokyo was perfect with 24 hour front desk - it was walking distance between Shibuya and Harajuku! And there was also a Family Mart close by for late night snacks. The room was small but comfortable, great aircon, fresh towel service each day and the bed was the best nights sleep on my whole trip. Despite the room being small, the layout was really good, might be a squeeze for 2 people with 2 luggages.

Staff struggled to speak English at times but with a translation app, it was no problem at all. My room window was also frosted and I realised it was placed right in front of a cemetery but it didn't worry me as it was quiet.
