The room is actually bigger than expected! It could fit 2 open luggage cases and still had room to walk around. The price is fantastic for the location and room size. You can access Youtube on the TV, it was nice being able to watch whatever I wanted. The staff were also very friendly and professional. The hotel is not decorated in a very modern way, however it does have a good charm to it.
The aircon was not very consistent and you cannot open the window, therefore it can get a little hot in the room. Eventually the aircon does cool down the room, just have to be a bit patient. There is also no ramp at the hotel entrance so you need to carry your luggage up, however it's only a few steps.

Very clean. Location is relatively close to Shibuya train station and subway (about 10 mins walk if you walk along big street, much less if you learn the shortcuts). Cozy atmosphere along hallway with furniture kinda looks like french style. Room is quite spacious (I have two luggage standing against the wall and there are still room to walk). I kinda like the hotel uses traditional room keys and not digital key cards as it fits the hotel theme better. Room has a kettle/humidifier combo unit, which I found very useful if you are not used to the dry weather in Japan.
The kettle takes forever to boil water as the heating element is not in the kettle, it relies on the humidifier part of the unit which looks like an inductive pad for the kettle to sit on. One other thing I don't like is not about the hotel, but urban planning around the area. Although the hotel is relatively close to train/subway station, no mater which path you take, you are required to cross at least one bridge with stairs only. There are no crosswalk to cross the street in between the hotel and the train/subway station. If you have many luggage or heavy luggage, good luck.

Very pleasant and old school hotel to stay. Mainly it is close to Shibuya but very quiet which is exactly what I am looking for. The double bed room was really cosy and I love the older furniture and wall tapestry. They really give it an old school feeling. The room was really clean and most importantly there is also a desk. Despite having four pieces of luggage the space was adequate and never felt crowded. The staff were tremendous - extremely polite, well spoken. The lobby also is really cool looking and you feel you can be sheltered inside from the surprisingly cold weather that grasped Tokyo.
The majority of the guests are quiet but for my first night I was unlucky as two individuals next to my room were up till 4am(!). The reason I mention this is that if you are a light sleeper like me, there is not much of soundproofing. Nevertheless, after they left the next day, I had a wonderful sleep. Also for first timers in Shibuya/Tokyo, it is a bit hard to find it due to the surrounding highways and if you have luggage and you want to walk from the Shibuya let's say crossing, be prepared - you have to go up and down a road bridge!

The staff were welcoming and professional, despite this being a casual trip for myself. Each person was courteous and helpful with any questions or concerns. The room was comfortable with all the amenities you want in a business hotel (personal bathroom, but smaller space). The location was perfect to hopping on public transit to anywhere around Tokyo from Shibuya Station.
The decor did feel a bit dated (think old England), but had a charm. It didn’t bother me though I can understand it not being everyone’s favorite choice. The main item that was troublesome was timing of the year. The AC was swapped for heat a day into an eight night stay. This caused the room to be too hot when fully dressed. Only a problem when about to leave or just returning (sweating profusely). Otherwise the late October time was amazing for exploring Tokyo (day or night).

Location! Its just 10 minutes walk to the Shibuya Station and the famouse scramble crossing and the shopping area of Shibuya. The hotel itself is in a safe area, away from all the noise, but just close enough to all the action, well connected to all the areas of Tokyo. If you dont mind some stairs climbing (which can be avoided if you learn the google maps well enough), then go for it! It was great place to stay. Change of towels and cleaning every day, without fail. Coffee in the morning. The room was big enough to have a nice dinner inside with my husband. Couple convinient stores next to the hotel, so no problem to get something to eat or any other necessary item...
Stairs. The elevators are little slow. TV with limited channels and mirror screen didnt work, although was advertised. No air con. We had to open the window, which solved the issue somewhat, but invited some noise from the street. Really small bathroom, but i still manged to enjoy my bath in the small bathtub. Had to give away the key every time we left the hotel, and then to receive it back we were asked our names every time. But it might also be a plus, because makes you feel safe. Coffee limited times only in the morning. But all in all - really worth the price, if you are on budget

Even though the hotel is dated, it is located in a safe neighborhood and is about 15 minutes walk from the train station. The staff is friendly and helpful in providing information. I am happy there was an elevator. The room's decor is dated but it was clean and free of smells. The bed was comfy and comfy PJs were provided. There's a small plug-in fridge to store drinks and food. There's no restaurant within the hotel but a restaurant is next door. This is the place for you if you're seeking location and convenience.
There are stairs leading up to the hotel. Their staff was happy to carry my luggage up the steps. The size of the room can be a tight squeeze for two people and luggage, but that's common in Japan.

Hotel is really pretty and staff speaks english really well which is rare in japan. Room is really nice
Getting to the hotel from shibuya takes some getting used to, since simply crossing the road there can be a nightmare. No way to do laundry (except really pricy laundry service) and the closest laundromat is difficult to get to

Very welcoming staff who are fluent in English, the entire design of the hotel lobby and the rooms made me feel like I got to enter a fairytale story. When it comes to ammeneties you got everything you need. The shaving cream and wet tissues were a life saviour in my case. I found the tea bags enjoyable and in the morning you have hot coffee at the reception. They offer same day washing and dry cleaning services. I got to stay at a business style hotel room size with a warm touch. Thank you for welcoming and accommodating me!
Dusty bedhead. AC unit for the room 405 was slow, but to my luck it was not summertime

Great location, very close to the scramble and the train station. surrounded by all the different convenience stores and a few restaurants. The staff is very nice, available 24/7, and their English level is very high. they'll greet you with bottles of water when you come back. the facilities are great, and in terms of Japanese hotels, the room is huge! will stay again!
While the station is close, the walk to the hotel is in incline, which can be tiring. also, there's only one way to get to the hotel without crossing a bridge (not that easy with a suitcase or after a long walk); this way adds a bit of walk but is better in my opinion. As with most Japanese hotels, you cannot control the air conditioner temperatures. It was too warm and we had to open the window during all of our stay.

Location is 5 mins walk to shibuya scramble mall but going back to the hotel takes 1 minute longer because it's uphill.. Size of the room is bigger compared to other hotels we booked. You can literally walk around inside and have space for luggages open and pack your stuff. Better then expected
The hotel will only provide 1 bottle of cold water per day per person. There should be at least a cold water dispenser or water station to refill specially during summer. We were exhausted walking back to the hotel from shibuya station because of the the heat, something to be considered. Also the room is not bright enough for those who want more lighting.
