Location was good, the staff were great, hotel was clean. Great little swimming pool. A fab little gem of a hotel

The only wee fault I can think of was every now and then my room smelt a little wiffie at times, I just put it down to the aircon pulling air in from outside. The weather was very hot and humid, walking around the city occasionally you would smell the drains. But this was a very minor issue. The Aircon was playing up for me at one point. I mentioned it at reception on the way out, and it was sorted by the time I came back. This did not upset my stay.

The location was great…less than a minute to the Mekong Night Market. Tons of restaurants and massage places on the street, though the hotel restaurant is excellent. There was live music on the weekend, which made dinner and beers enjoyable. Fitness center had weights, and the staff was very helpful.

The breakfast was mid, but that’s to be expected in Laos. Overall, I’d recommend this hotel.

Conveniently located, the attached restaurant is good for lunch, swimming pool is nice for a refresher!

We loved the la Charme Hotel so much that we cancelled another booking to go back to it after a trip into the countryside. The staff could not have been more charming. The hotel has a great restaurant and bar at the front of the building and we had a lovely time there - and it is well placed for lots of other great places to eat. The pool area was just great - and you could easily ask for refreshments to be brought over from the bar. Very clean room and bathroom. Fantastic breakfast choices.

I didn't really like the double bed in our first room - it was quite bouncy. So we swapped to twin beds on our repeat visit which was much more comfortable.

A very comfortable hotel in a good area of the city, about 2 minutes walk from the markets (which were disappointing) I ate at the hotel twice, which is unusual, because there were not a lot of air conditioned other ones around, and the fare was very good. The reception was able to organise a private taxi for me to tour the city for just under $100 AUD for 5 hours. From the friendly doorman to the enthusiastic reception staff (with very good English) the stay was made very pleasant. The manager(s) were both very hands-on and were "up for a chat" at any time. They are obviously proud of this historic hotel

The hotel was fantastic, and the pool very refreshing in such a hot place, but there is not a lot going on in a fairly basic city.

The staff was really nice and helpful with all information and questions that I had. The location is wonderful! Right in the heart of the most vibrant part of town. I loved it! Thank you so much for a lovely stay.

The room was a bit old fashioned but it was very clean and well kept.

Very friendly and helpful staff Room was very big, clean and well appointed. Location in the middle of the riverside entertainment are with loads of restaurants and night markets etc. The hotel has it's own bar that was great. Room service menu has very high quality food at very reasonable prices The pool is great

The bed was quite firm but still fine. A mattress topper would make it much better.

The location couldn't be better, it is centered and has many restaurants around. We had a room with the view on the back of the property, so it was calm, not sure about the other side, but anyways it's not a very noisy city. The rooms were simple, and the breakfast was good enough. We needed a good hotel to pass through on our way to other places in Laos, so it was perfect for that. The pool area is nice to chill.

The breakfast was good, you order your choice of eggs and there is a buffet to choose from, however the replenishment was a bit slow, this is the only advice I would give for improvement.

The property staff were amazing - always extremely helpful and willing, to help book taxis or offer advice. We really liked the family room - a big room where my wife, children and I were comfortable together and with good wifi. The breakfast was great value and delicious and the restaurant also very good. The staff all felt like they went the extra mile - including giving me a free replacement drink when a fly took a swim in my first one.

No complaints for the price that we paid!

This is a nice classic hotel in the historic district of Vientiane. It was comfortable without being luxurious. The staff were excellent, very helpful.

The renovation to the bathroom included a way too small shower curtain assembly, and I tried but could not stop water from flooding the floor during a shower. Also, there was a 3% convenience fee charged for using a credit card instead of cash - add that to the quoted price.
