Great rooms and bath

It is very disappointing to enter a hotel in the heart of Kaunas and to see a clock depicting Moscow time on the wall. Would it not be better to title it "Kyiv time"? Or remove that clock altogether?

We stayed at Daugirdas for one night. And this stay was a good one. Hotel personel was really nice and competent. Room was clean, absolutely nothing to complain about. Soundproof really worked. We heard absolutely no sound from busy bridge, nearby streets - even neighbours going/talking, elevator opening/closing. That's an example of how soundproof rooms shouls work like. We really enjoyed bath, since most hotels keep showers only. Room had also TV (had no time to watch) and minibat, as well as kett;e. Breakfast on holidays is served from 08:00 to 10:30. It was tasty and good, I expected a bit more choices though. Coffee was good one (for those who complain about coffee). Pity, had no time to test local restaurant, since it closed earlier (it was national holiday). Overall, I enjoyed this stay and could stay at Daugirdas for next time.

Disclaimer: Daugirdas is a good 4* hotel and I enjoyed my stay. These are just some notes on what could have been even better. Conditioning. Room had air conditioner, but it seemed to work not as expected. It was already turned for maximum heating, yet room was a bit chill. There was an electric heater which we turned on full power. Even that did not help - room was still bit chill. Bathroom was told to have heated floor - and it was heated in some places. In other places it was not heated. So, if I was in position to advice hotel owner - I would advice improving conditioning. Normally, air conditioner should be enough to regulate climate in the room.

Hydromassage bathtub was not working, which was disapointment.

Hotel is right in the city center, but in a quiet street, no noise from the outside. Warm and clean room. Friendly receptionist, who helped us to surprise our collegue, and also called me after, as I left my belongings in the room. Good breakfast (strange, as we did not expect much from the comments I've read - but maybe it was good because we were here early). There's a sticker in bathroom about water consumption savings, but they have changed our towels, even they were not on the floor (of course it is nice to have fresh towels, but no need to change them everyday untill they are on the floor).

Outdated rooms, needs some renovation. TV remote was working, except on/off button, so the only was to turn off the TV was to unplug it. Parking on the street you need to pay for, but luckily we did not have to spend much time searching for a spot.

Tasty breakfast with choice. Hotel is located in the old town of Kaunas. Fresh furniture and clean room. Hotel is clean in general. Friendly staff.

Air conditioning could be regulated only by receptionist. So if you need to change air conditioning settings you have to call to reception. No free parking place, but it's mentioned in the offer.

The location was excellent, the staff were professional and friendly and all interactions were smooth without any issues. The room was spacious.

There is only 1 lift and for part of our stay it was out of order. Not a major problem because there are only 4 floors but if you rely on a lift, you would need a ground (1st by Lithuanian convention) floor room. Also, the air conditioning was fixed as 'on' - temperature could be controlled but not on / off without talking to reception - this seems a bit intrusive on reception staff. My list of negative seems so much longer than positive and that is unfair - we really enjoyed our stay and regard the hotel highly.

Both the room and the bathroom were spacious and very functional. We liked the skylight windows a lot. It was very quiet during the night and the beds were comfortable, so we slept very well. The breakfast was good, although not exceptional.

There was no light in the corridor on the fourth floor, and thus it was difficult to walk there in the evening. We mentioned this to the personnel, but the lamps were still not turned on. Maybe this was to save energy, but more energy would be saved if the towels were not washed every day, which is so needless. The employees were not particularly friendly, but ok.

Great location - a very short walk to the Old Town Square. Lovely breakfast - offering a very varied selection of food. The scrambled eggs were the nicest I've ever tasted. Unfortunately they were only available on one of the mornings. Beds were super comfortable. Very powerful hot shower. Good quality towels. Adequate storage space and hangers.

Occasionally there was a bad smell in the corridor. It smelt like raw sewerage. Unfortunately some of my traveling companions, on a few occasions, experienced this bad smell in their rooms. Thankfully my room didn't smell. Shuttle service organised by the hotel was not big enough for our group. I pre-arranged transport through the hotel for 4 adults with 4 suitcases. The car provided was not adequately big enough. It could barely close its booth and that was with 3 suitcases and one small carry on. Because of this we arranged our own transport back to the airport.

pleasently surprised. Brrakfast was wonderful. Place was right in old town, so close to town hall. Very convenient. I previously stayed in Vilnius at the Grand Kempinski, so I was not sure what to expect. But i was surprised. And had a good exoerience

Ok, room was a bit small,when it rains, the water leaks in the corridor and the cleaning lady that cleans room, is a bit grumpy, never smiles, and maybe doesnt understand any English

Location-wise, this hotel is great - you are steps away from the townhall, a park and the river. There is paid street parking in front of the hotel. The rooms were good-sized and equipped, although somewhat outdated, bed very big and comfy. Staff was very helpful and friendly, accommodated us very well, including late check out despite being fully booked - thanks for that.

Breakfast was just OK - good selection, but nothing spectacular. Restaurant for dinner was decent, but seemed disorganized (messed up our reservation, long waiting time etc) and the food was just OK. In the summer it is on the rooftop terrace, with very limited cover in case of rain - romantic, but could be impractical (we had to shelter inside at the small coffee tables).
