Beautiful design, comfortable bed, quiet

I didn’t like the customer service I received from a couple of members of staff in the reception. For example, I arrived on Friday night and they told me breakfast is at 11. When I got down at 10:20 on Monday morning for breakfast they told me it finished at 10am. On the room card, breakfast times are written but using Roman numbers. So I was charged for breakfast and they didn’t want to hear about it. I think reception should give more thorough information to their guest and take responsibility of their guests coordination.

The location is great. There is a hotel Parking available either underground which is fabulous during the winter when its snowy and cold, but there is also a possibility to park right in front of the hotel on city parking which is free of charge between 20-8 and the ticket machine is right across the street from the hotel main entrance. The breakfast was great, bacon was cooked superbly, coffee had quality and there was even red orange juice available. Water kettle was not in the room, but you can have one by simply asking the receipton. About the room, we stated on the 5-th floor and the view over the rooftops with an almost full moon was unforgettable. :) The air quality and ventilation works well and absolutely loved the lighting under the bed and in the toilet that had motion sensors. Also the tv was rather new and with a proper big screen. Recommend this place 100% and will be staying there also 100% on my next trip to Kaunas.

I did not like that we had the possibility to stay there only for one night. Would've stayed a lot longer.

Everything was really a lovely cool vibe, the staff were so friendly - it felt so homely and comfortable as soon as walked in. The branding and phrasing of for example not smoking in rooms was so clever! I loved it, and as I was travelling for work I had access to everything I needed. Staff was never arrogant and always helpful. Having food and drinks any time was amazing.

The bed was a bit uncomfortable and I felt too warm inside the room but this I know is a personal preference. I didn’t find the breakfast good value for money - easily could elevate it but it wasn’t worth eating in so we only did it once.

+ good location (center and close to Bus station) + big room (really value for money) + quiet, if you choose parking side instead of main street + very nice and comfortable bathroom with shower + clean room + moderately good wifi + good options to connect TV to your own devices + good cocktails and some fair priced snacks (you can eat without leaving the hotel)

- quite poor breakfast (especially for vegetarian), one coffee machine was out of order during the whole breakfast - no wardrobe in the room, just few strangely designed hangers, so not suitable for more than few days stay or it would be difficult for a couple or a family - too loud music in the ground floor

- Very nice and clean room - Super comfortable bed - Quiet, no noises from outside - Thick curtains allow you to fall asleep in the summer, when the sun does not set for a long time - Nice lobby with bar, sofas, table football, chess and other games - Delicious welcome drink - Excelent location, lots of good restaurants

- AC was weak - The sink in the bathroom kept getting clogged - When we booked the hotel, parking fee was 12 euro, but at arrival it was already 15 euro. Unfortnately it's external companys parking so there was nothing that could be done about it. - On the first day of our stay, the staff told us that we could use the coffee machine in the lobby for free. The next day manager rudely pointed out to us that we were not allowed to do this. We explained that we asked the staff twice and that we could even pay for these coffees now. However, the pretentious approach to the guest, for misleading us by the staff, leaves a bad taste.

The hotel is in a great location for the city with plenty places nearby for food and drink. The rooms which were well designed and quirky were clean and there was plenty hot water. Nice public areas for relaxing.

The rooms were quite cold and duvets thin. There is very little sound proofing, so the noise carries from around the other rooms/public areas. My room was above the bar/reception area which had very loud music playing and people screeching/singing/talking on Saturday night which was still ongoing when I checked out at 0300hrs. So very little sleep was had.

We are not new to Moxy, so we knew what to expect...and what don't. In short, we got everything we needed. My guess is - we got even more. Staff: kind, patient, professional. I witnessed how calmly and professional staff talked with one angry customer (surprisingly, customer was really not right). Room: clean, nice. Few bottles of mineral water there were. We really enjoyed them. Coffee: either my memory plays with me - or coffee machine ("Lavazza" capsules) was NOT mentioned. But we got one, with several type of coffee and tea. Thanks, Moxy... Breakfast: nice, tasty, to almost every taste. In short, the stay was really quality one.

Sound isolation sometimes does not work as it should. It was not a problem for us. And yes, no noisy party on the first floor - so sound isolation did not bother us.

The hotel is in a very good location, close to the main attractions, museums and main streets. The vibe of the hotel is very cosy, fun, young and playful. Room is very spacious with a well established bathroom. I like the TV which includes major international channels. Room was very clean and daily clean up was very proper and neat. The beds were very comfortable for me. The hotel bar/restaurant/cafe area is very useful that I enjoyed several drinks and lunch. It provides a cool social atmosphere. Staff is helpful and attentive to the requests.

I would prefer to have kettle/coffee/tea appliances in the room. Also, I would prefer to have a mini clothing closet/shelf space to place my clothes.

Very welcome check in was made by one of the receptionists which has checked us in at 3:30am in the morning, was so easy, simple and warm process. Usually when arriving at the hotel at this time there is some issues as check in shouldn’t be made after midnight. Once we noticed that flight will be delayed I have messaged Moxy and very warm response was received in less than 1hour. Also, breakfast and service in the morning was exceptional. I am staying at Moxy more than 1 or 2 times a month (most of the months) and never been let down with the service.

Regardless if you like the rock n roll theme and fun/kitchy decorations, this is a well managed hotel. Rooms feels new and clean,, bed is perfect. Breakfast sufficient. If you dont mind some subsonic bass lines and pumping Avicii to your cereals, dont look any further.

When the rock n roll themed "Carpe Diem"- signs everywhere tells you to have fun and enjoy life to the max, it is a sharp contrast to the staff you see in the lobby. They are doing a great job, they just dont look happy. Very mechanical and unenthusiastic service. Give them fun drugs or at least anti depressives to better align attitude with the hotel theme.
