The place is right near the busy Thamel street, which is great for a few days in the city. The rooms are wide and clean, and the bed is comfortable! Owners interference...

The first morning I was there, I attended breakfast with an hour service left and the choice for breakfast was very limited. I was given a family room, the extra bed made the room feel very small. Only 1 chair in the room. Bathroom was a little bit smaller than expected but functionable. Room supplies were readily available when asked for. Good supply of complementary water.

Better availability of breakfasts or breakfast cooking to order. Zero view in A204, just an exterior wall, so the curtains were constantly closed and no sun light.

My wife and I visited Thamel recently and stayed in Kathmandu Aguntuk hotel. This hotel is located in the prime location of Thamel. The breakfast was really good! All the staffs were super helpful throughout our stay. We were about to miss our flight while coming back from Nagrokot, due to the prompt action of the taxi driver Mr. Kapin and the hotel Manager Mr. Subash, we were able to catch the flight. My wife lost her phone while the flight. Hotel manager Mr. Subash found the phone and reached out to us. We are very much great full for the help and hospitality we have received. We strongly recommend this hotel!

Every single member of staff I met was amazing. Genuinely some of the nicest people I've ever met. The hotel was very clean and would be ideal for solo travellers or couples (possibly families too). It's a 1 minute walk away from Thamel which is the main "tourist" area of the city.. but a 5 minute walk in the opposite direction you will get some amazing small local spots with the best "momo" (the most popular local/national food. Essentially dumplings with different fillings) but anyway..the location is ideal. its close to everything but still in a calm and quiet area. I had the most amazing chats every day with Abhi, the hotel supervisor/manager. An absolute gentleman who would go over and beyond in every way for a guest. But all the staff were the same. I only ate breakfast in the hotel and usually stuck to the same (American Style). But it was always very good. The guys would gladly give you some extra food etc if you wanted. I didn't eat other food from the restaurant as I was eating out and about but I'm sure it is all great. They were also great in regards to laundry services. I would definitely recommend this hotel for any backpackers, solo travellers or couples.

A hidden gem, hotel is very quiet and perfectly located near, but not in, Thamel, a few minutes walk away only, in a peaceful courtyard near tons of good restaurants away from hustle and bustle. Really glad I stayed here. Great price too. Extremely clean and welcoming. It's an ideal value hotel with a beautiful garden. It has a warm vibe and is really close to Sorakhutte if you have to catch an early bus to Chitwan or Pokhara, which the hotel can also arrange. Very nice manager or owner, an extremely personable and authentic guy.

Everything was perfect. The only thing I had difficulty with was the shower flooding the whole bathroom floor, so I didn't use it and washed my hair in the sink. Otherwise great kettle, hot water at 5am, good indoor heating, nice TV, it's all brand new!

Fantastically helpful crew of young, friendly Nepalese men run this hotel. The manager is jolly and welcoming and keen to help. We had an issue with the first room offered and they happily showed us several options until we found one we liked, insisting we "must be happy". The location is great, near the edge of Thamel - the busy tourist area, nice and close to the action, but just out of the most hectic part. Walking from the hotel into Thamel, you go through a narrow lane, passing some tiny street food shops. Returning, you arrive in the hotel's pleasant garden area that is something of an oasis and an al fresco eating area for the restaurant. The restaurant has great food, reasonably priced.

Relaxing in the garden, you will probably be approached by associates of the hotel who spark up chats that lead to offers of tours of all kinds in Kathmandu and elsewhere in Nepal (Pokhara etc). This is part of travel, I guess, and if experienced, one can deal with this assertively, but there is a bit of sales pressure. That is not to say that what is on offer is not good tour product, but it's just as well to be forewarned of this experience. Be aware, there is not a lift, and many rooms are on the 2nd and 3rd floors. Staff will gladly assist with bags.

The hotel had everything I needed: central location, comfortable beds, wifi that worked, hot water, delicious food! As a bonus, they also offer money exchange at the front desk (USD), were always ready to call a taxi when I needed it, and have a peaceful outdoor restaurant area that is an oasis in the middle of the city. For solo travelers, the security deadbolt on the inside of the door is also a nice touch. To say the staff went above and beyond addressing any and all concerns is an understatement. They were great. Shout-out to Abhi for making sure our stay met all expectations.

The poolside bar served delicious cocktails and light bites, making it the perfect spot to relax after a day of exploring. Dining at The Serendipity Haven was an unforgettable experience. The on-site restaurant, Ocean's Palette, offered a menu that celebrated local ingredients with a creative twist. Each dish was a masterpiece, beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The breakfast buffet was equally impressive, with a wide array of options catering to every palate. The hotel also offered a variety of activities and amenities that enriched my stay.

I didn’t find anything that I dislike

Always love staying here, rooms are super comfortable, equipped with everything you need. Coffee maker, refill water daily, hot shower, cold A/C, comfortable bed and pillows. The staff service is exceptional, they are all very attentive and helpful. Abhi is a great manager. Always checking in to make sure you are happy with everything, helpful and so lovely to speak to. The hotel is located in the heart of Thamel. But I really love that it has a quiet garden to chill in, the noise from the streets can’t be heard.
