The staffs are really friendly. I met Asmita at the reception, she was soo sweet. All the other staffs were also very welcoming. The location is quite good, I didn’t face any problem. Taste of food is moderate. Complementary buffet breakfast is tasty. Taxi is always available outside the hotel. The hotel is clean.

There is no lift. That is a bit of a problem if you stay at the 2nd or 3rd floor. Although there is electric kettle, there is no hair dryer in the room.

The staff here are absolutely wonderful, always pleasant to talk to over the delicious included breakfast. Rooms are secure and comfortable and the heater works really well. Plenty toiletries and water provided. Great location in Thamel but still very peaceful and quiet in the rooms (mind you I was on an upper level on the interior side of the building) There is no elevator but the staff are happy to help with luggage. Just keep this in mind in case you have any issues using stairs!! Excellent value for money compared to other similarly-priced hotels in the area. Be sure to check out the rooftop terrace, beautiful calm viewpoint with lots of plants and flowers :)

Location was great, price was great, staff were great, comfort was great, breakfast was great, all staff were great and helpful, my booking and reservation was great (I booked last minute at 8am online due to change in plans, and I was in my room before 10am).. I would certainly recommended for anyone wanting a nice room in budget price range..

No issues that would stop me from recomending to others.. Very minor points: Hot water sometimes takes a while.. I had a cold shower first night until hot water started a few minutes into shower. I was unsure which was hot water tap.. Some power points in room need upgrade. The hallway noise.. When people talking in hallway as walking up stairs.. But quickly passed.. And they do have signs saying 'quiet zone' so they do acknowledge the issue.. The night person woke me up on first night, wrong room.. A simple mistake, and no problem The room and bathroom was a little worn - but it was clean - so no fault of cleaning staff..

Everyone was very friendly and helpful, especially Govinda who went out of his way to make sure that we were comfortable and taken care off. The owner Savi was also amazing, he came to introduce himself and gave us detailed information about Nepal , culture and other things.

The hotel is in an ideal situation, an abundance of shops, restaurants and it is within minutes of bus stop to Pokhara. The Staff are all very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good and lunch also. Will definitely return when in Kathmandu.

affordable. at city centre and easy to visit places. clean rooms and common area. female staff were really very hospitable. taxis were available through staff easily for city tour. lots of eating option within walking distance if you want to dine out or want to chill out at some club/dance bar/pub/drinks bar. one of best hotels at this budget.

Hotel doesn't have parking, you can park at your expenses at nearby parking(600NPR) per day at 500 mtrs. inhouse bar is also missing and rooftop garden shown is non functional. limited options for food varieties at restaurant/ kitchen. One way road irritates as you are required to take a longer route( for vehicles) through busy market and narrow streets.

Very good and nice hotel in that prize of Thamel busiest place but need refurbish all toilets.

Staff was excellent. They’re very helpful. It was on the center of thamel so location was good. Shops and restaurants are nearby as well. So overall our stay at Kathmandu grand hotel was excellent.

I Loved the breakfast. The food was tasty. Omelets to order. A good selection of foods. I enjoyed the milk coffee.

I found the mattress uncomfortable. A bit hard.

breakfast great, over size bedroom basicaly no complaints and will stay again if i come back to Nepal and KATMANDU. sorry for not emailing but only got working wifi going. will drop in hen i come down on my off day.
