Overall a great experience. Nice breakfast options for vegetarians and everyone else. The hotel feels a bit dated but the beds were still very comfortable and the staff was always very helpful and accommodating. We loved our stay here.

The wifi connection was unfortunately not very good what was frustraiting sometimes. If you plan to work and use the wifi make sure you have some alternative!

Breakfast buffet was included in a price of our triple room and made price of hotel more appealing. Coffee machine, fresh fruits, pancakes, bacon and eggs etc - good selection. Breakfast starts at 6.30 am and served in a restaurants facing beautiful rose garden. Location - walking distance from Parnell restaurants. Hotel informed us about ongoing renovations but we did not have problems with construction noise during weekend.

Triple room we stayed in was not renovated yet and unfortunately toilet/bathroom are dated, but ok for 1-2 nights. We used toilets across the hallway as they were nicer.

We had such a wonderful stay. We were prepared for the construction that was happening around us & it did not bother us at all. We were lucky enough to get the refurbished rooms which were really comfortable & warm. Beds were comfortable & new bathrooms were lovely. Room service with clean towels etc everyday was great & staff were so helpful & caring. The restaurant was fantastic. Enjoyed our breakfast each morning & ate dinner our first night in the restaurant which was our favourite meal of the whole trip & we ate at a few different locations including the viaduct but we all agreed that the on-site restaurant was by far the nicest meal. Location was great, only a 15 minute walk to spark arena. Awesome to have ample free parking on site which I feel is such a bonus. Honestly, I can’t speak highly enough about our stay.

Not one thing I could complain about. Our stay was just fantastic. Just be prepared for the construction that is happening around you but for us it was totally fine. We were up early so not woken by noise.

The room was very spacious and cosy. It had all the necessities for a one night stay. I liked the balcony, although very tiny, was handy for me. Shower was nice, good pressure. Plenty of parking and easy to access my room from the car park. Absolutely loved the dinner I ordered from the restaurant, calamari and the pavlova for dessert. Divine, definitely recommend those dishes.

There was no tv remote so had to ask for that. There was also a capsule stuck inside the coffee maker so may not have been cleaned out, I"m not sure. Would be nice to have complimentary water bottle like other hotels I've visited. The bed dipped in the middle so I had to stay on the side of the bed to have a decent sleep. It was comfortable, but disappointing that I couldn't utilise the whole bed because it was uneven. Even with the heat pump on, it was still cold, so no extra blankets in the room. Good idea just to have spare blankets handy for winter.

The staff really look after you and ensure you have a comfortable stay. My son and I decided on the first night, that we would like to stay another night. It was short notice for the manager, but the booking staff accommodated us and moved a few rooms around, so we could spend another night in the same room. Thank you very much for accommodating us, we really appreciated this, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Lovely peaceful surroundings, and the meals at the Restaurant are deliciously filling and healthy - compliments to the Chef.

Having to leave to go home.

That we could leave our vehicle there for free while we went on a 10 day cruise. It was walking distance to the wharf, less than 2km. Has a restaurant for cooked breakfast or dinner if you want to stay in-house. Staff are very relaxed. We disembarked from our cruise 8am & they gave us a room key early. Have stayed a number of times & will again. Rooms are being refurbished too which is nice. Just what we needed for a rest at both ends of our holiday.

No lift so had to carry luggage up stairs. Place under refurbishment though so to be expected

The location was very nice opposite the rose gardens. A little off pitch if you wanted to walk places in Auckland, but it suited us as we had a car and free parking. Accommodation fine, clean and quiet and staff were great. Has a feel a bit like a holiday camp rather then a hotel, but was good value and suited us fine. Breakfast was served in a lovely room overlooking the rose gardens and a lovely setting to start your day and the food was buffet and with a 'full English' if you wanted it. There was no room safe and we ended up hiding my wife's purse and our wallet with passports in a draw and promptly left them in the rush to check out before 10am. Hotel were great. We got a call within a couple hours of leaving and they kept them safe until we returned to Auckland a couple of weeks later - cash in tact! Free parking was very handy. Even the rooms facing the road are quiet enough.

Our adult daughters and 11 year old were in a separate block. There was no room safe and our room was on the second floor with no lift so a bit of a schlep with the luggage.

Location was great, easy walk down to Auckland CBD, easy drive away from CBD to other destinations in Auckland rather than getting caught up with traffic, room good, buffet breakfast was great, enjoyed the stay.

Definitely miss the option of self catering, having plates/cutlery/toaster etc. Does have kettle/mugs/teaspoons/milk capsules which does help. As stayed in winter months, got some burgers locally and took back to room, and having no plates makes it more challenging.

The breakfast was beautiful and it was handy to the bus stop. The views from the restaurant was beautiful. It was close to a fish and chip shop , dairy, pharmacy and bottle store. The staff were very friendly and accommodating they let us store our bags prior to check in which was appreciated.

The bathroom wasn't to clean there was marks on the floor around the toilet and the soap holder in the shower was black but beds and service from the staff was top notch

On arrival, we asked if we could have a double bed rather than two singles. Without murmur or dissent, we were upgraded to a spacious and really comfortable suite - how impressive is that! Comfortable bed and brilliant bathroom facilities. Helpful staff. The hotel is near Strand Station if you are arriving by the Great Northern Explorer - but note you have to drag your suitcases up a steep incline for part of the way if you decide to walk the short distance. The hotel is in Parnell, one of the more select suburbs of Auckland, and for that area is very good value for money.

Hotels are not usually renowned for their food and Rose Park was no exception. This may not be surprising as it is easy to get to the main Auckland Waterfront for a range of restaurants and Parnell itself has a series of good eateries. I was most disappointed by the continental breakfast, where the pastry section seemed to be limited to toast. The cooked breakfast (only a few dollars more) was actually good.
