While it is clear this is an older property The rooms in this property seem to be completely renovated. Our room was clean, comfortable in wonderful shape and nicely outfitted. I had no interest in the pool but it looked clean in passing. Our room had a modest kitchenette with kettle, microwave, small fridge, and plates, cups, utensils, coffee, tea, creamer, etc.. there was also a large wardrobe and some storage drawers in the bathroom. Bed had a thick foam mattress topper.

Travelers should keep in mind that there are no elevators in this multi floor facility so ask ahead about ground floor availability if you have mobility issues. The bed was comfortable though too soft for my liking. My wife wasn’t troubled by it though and actually slept better than usual.

Loved the pool swim I had although cold this time of year. Our adult boys used the gym and were very happy with the equipment. All the staff are lovely, reception as well as cleaners. Our family stayed in different rooms all very clean and comfortable with nice styling. So close to Takapuna beach, we walked on the beach every day with a coffee from winsome Cafe. This is a really well run hotel and totally suited our needs. We will definitely be back to stay. Already missing it!

We were on the 3rd floor of a block that did not contain a lift. We weren't told that on arrival . We are both elderly and when we found only stairs I went back to Reception. The young man there said there was a lift but in an adjoining block. He came with us, showed us the lift, accompanied us to our room and handled our luggage for us. He was excellent, but that wouldn't have been necessary if he had explained the situation to us on arrival. There is a floor to ceiling window in the bathroom ensuring it is well lit. It has a great view to the footpath and road just next to the motel. However it is normal glass which meant we had to have the blind pulled down to the floor when using the toilet and shower. Perhaps the lower half of the window could be frosted to allow for privacy.

The room was nicely modern and newly renovated. Was clean, fresh, spacious and cozy. The deluxe studio was handy and had all you needed for a stay. It was a lovely stay, and so close to the beach too.

Getting to the room was a tad tricky, but manageable from the reception area. But from the back way (out of reception hours) there was alot of guessing as there was minimal signage of which way the room was. It would have been fun to use the pool facilities at any hour. And having room service or a food facility present at the hotel would be a great addition too.

Room was a good size, with queen bed, tv, work desk, dining table and well supplied kitchenette. The balcony was an added bonus The bathroom was a good size with everything you need, shower, toilet and a large sink and mirror. The hotel itself is a little out of the town centre, but everything is of walking distance. The beach was fairly close, a 5 minute walk.

There was nothing at all that caused us to dislike this hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel was very clean and well maintained.

Very comfy room with everything we needed. Nice to be able to open sliding doors and have fresh air. Room was quiet which was a pleasant surprise considering the proximity to a major road. Shower had really good pressure which is unusual in our experience. Staff were friendly and helpful. Very convenient to have on-site parking. Definitely recommend.

Was a bit surprised to find no one at reception when we arrived, which was just after 3 pm so normal check in time. Had to wait about 5 minutes before someone turned up. Staff were apologetic when they did and were very friendly and helpful. Was only a minor annoyance.

Receptionist was very friendly and I thought she did represent the business very well. A great face to the business. Room was excellent, clean and quiet. Bed was very comfortable. Happy to stay again.

Shower over spa bath results in bathroom getting wet floor. I would rip out spa and put in big shower. That would modernize it alot and be much easier to clean. Would also stop water damaging other fittings.

I liked everything! The hotel is newly renovated, modern, super clean and conveniently located! You’re steps away from the beach, boutique shops, a supermarket, restaurants. It takes about 15-20 minutes to get to the city center by bus, a little bit longer if you take a ferry, which I’d highly recommend. Last but not least, I’d like to say a big thank to the staff! They are very nice people, helpful and professional. Krystal and Kunwar helped me a lot! Thank you, guys! Also the manager was great. I would definitely recommend staying at the hotel.

Nothing to say

The room was exceptionally well appointed, and although not large, was so well laid out it wasn't cluttered and everything placed (TV, desk, table and chairs etc) was accessible and comfortable to use. Check in and out was quick and easy. I liked the small-block style units.

The shower pressure wasn't great and a shower door or curtain would have made for a better showering experience. The lift was very, very slow.

Very nice room and comfortable bed. Location was perfect for our visit to meet friends. Staff were helpful and friendly. Easy walk to Takapuna for coffee ,meals and shopping.

Room was on the main road side of the property. Would request a room elsewhere on another visit. Better sound insulation between rooms would be helpful. We may have just have had noisy neighbours on this visit.
