It was nice and spacious, open space and relaxing. The beds are comfortable. Nice kitchen area, not that we used it a lot. Balcony was lovely. Has a washer and dryer built in one so woke up to the washing being dried. Had 2 toilets. Staff accommodated to my request. Staff was inviting and organised and had everything waiting on arrival.

Only had 4 seats at a small table for 5people staying and outside seating wasn’t enough for 5 people either unless we brought a chair from one to the other. Has an ensuite in one of the rooms with a shower and toilet which is the only shower so would have to wait for the people in that room to wake up instead of having one that is accessible. No Welcome book with what is in the local area (walks, food etc), how they would like the room left (where to leave towels and how to get them replaced if needed etc), when doors close (car park door and sunset room?), was different to have the front door unlocked at all times with no reception person at all times and no one was on duty when we checked out (not a bad thing just different)

The location and staff

It was super dirty. There were even left overs from someone else in the fridge when we arrived. I washed doorknobs and light switches because it was that dirty. The couch smelled like BO as well. It just needs a bit of quality control with the housekeeping staff!

I had an incredible stay at this hotel and can't recommend it enough! From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the size and comfort of the room. It was spacious, with a massive bed that made it feel like a true retreat. The balcony and the view facing the sky tower and harbour bridge were absolutely stunning, offering a perfect backdrop for relaxation. Everything was spotless, and the room had all the amenities I could need. The staff truly made the experience even better. The receptionist and everyone else I interacted with were so friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. They were incredibly accommodating and flexible with our requests, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The hotel's location is also perfect surrounded by beautiful spots to explore, and just a short distance from local attractions. I will definitely be booking here again for my next trip. Highly recommended! 10/10!

This is one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed in - it has everything you need for a very relaxed stay (and odd things we asked for like extra coathangers were provided within seconds). The apartment is huge, the bed is huge and very comfortable, there is everything you need in the kitchen area with beautifully clean, quality kitchenware, there's a dishwasher and washing machine (with powders) and iron, the sofa is comfortable, the TV has Sky channels, there are great views from the balcony, the air con is super efficient, the staff on reception are really friendly and welcoming, the apartment is serviced daily with fresh towels and restocking of teas, coffees, toilet rolls etc ... there is absolutely nothing not to like - the location might seem a little isolated but the ferry terminal is a 10 minute walk away and gets you to the City very quickly and the no 8O1 bus is 3 mins walk from the door - and enabled frequent visits to Devonport to eat - and full exploration of all the North Shore beaches. We absolutely loved our week's stay here and would come back again without question! Thank you team Ocean Breeze!

We liked the spaciousness of our room. And even though it was on the lower level, we had some view of the water from the window of the main room. Very spacious bathroom, a floor safe in the bedroom wardrobe, and all the conveniences we'd like, such as a washing machine/dryer, DVD player with the TV, plenty of kitchenware, etc. Guests who visited our room were most impressed too. As it was not a cheap hotel, I'd rate it only "fair to good" in value for money.

The only thing that was unexpected was the absence of staff at the front desk. It seemed as though this place was run with minimal front desk staffing; they seemed to be elsewhere doing something else. There was a staff member at the desk when we first checked in but we hardly saw anyone after that. It seemed that people could just wander in without being challenged or queried. However, they do have cameras.

We loved the location to the nearby ferry service, which was running when we visited, albeit at a reduced service. Our accommodation was bigger than expected with a kitchen, dining & lounge area combined, large bedroom with plenty of wardrobe space and safe plus a very big shower room which also had a washer drier in it. We also had a small private balcony area that overlooked the gardens, looking out towards the bay. The staff we saw were pleasant although the desk is not manned 24 hrs. The views from the 2nd floor public lounge area were stunning, especially of the Skyline at night.

It was a pity the restaurant and lounge areas are currently not open, but we don't feel this would be enough not to recommend this place as a holiday spot. There are plenty of restaurants, bars, and cafes a little further down the peninsula at Devonport, so you won't be stuck for food choices - plus, there's also a large supermarket in Devonport.

The view from our room was fantastic. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Having a washer and dryer in the room was great too. Room was large enough and setup well enough to self cater if we wanted too. Would happily stay again but probably Uber to where we wanted to go if heading into Auckland.

Lovely location if we had been staying put. Not so convenient for getting to where we needed to go as Auckland traffic is not nice. Not the hotels fault. Would be nice to stay there and just enjoy the close environs.

The person at the reception was very friendly. The main room was ridiculously large. (There were also a bedroom and a bathroom.) The view over of the skyline of Auckland was fantastic. The highlight was however the massage chair.

It looked as if the hotel was going through hard times. Although the main room was big, it contained hardly any furniture. Everything was also slightly damaged and looking a bit old. And the person at the reception seemed to form the whole staff. However, the only annoying thing was that the fridge was noisy and kept running constantly.

Good location, not a lot of competition for car parks, close to Bayswater marina where we needed to be. Very friendly and polite staff not always immediately at the desk but always contactable and available. Room was nicely presented and well maintained. The staff gave us an upgrade on day 1 and a price reduction on day 2. I would stay here again should I need to return to Devonport area.

Initial car park area when checking in is small and limited numbers (5-6)? should the hotel be busier, however at all times parking was available.

Confirmation process was seamless, Massage chair and the view of ocean was amazing. Sleeping arrangement was comfortable. Rooms, windows, kitchen and bathroom tidy. It would be nice to have a fresh new bench cloth, instead of an old reused one. The AC was on upon arrival making the room a comfortable room temp as it was very hot. Two balcony was nice to have.

Plugs behind masterbed, chargers couldn’t fit. unless you move the bed out. All the lights flickered when we switched them on then they were fine after that. Toilet seat didn’t cover the actual toilet bowl. Having to park on the grass. The front doors didn’t lock at a certain time, thus allowing anyone to easily walk in at all hours. Not very safe. Food scraps/rubbish placed outside of the room beside us overnight.. Not pleasant to walk out to.
