We had a cabin, and it matched the description on booking.com. It was small, but very clean and bedding provided. There was a heater in the room which was excellent and kept the room nice and cosy. Bathrooms and kitchen areas were always clean. The television room, and the games rooms were a great bonus- both very spacious and well stocked- especially as it rained for our 3 day stay and it gave the children a space to play when they couldn’t go on the wet playground. Highly recommend this camp ground to others.

The only downside would be there was not much indoor seating in the dining area. 3 small tables/12 seats for the entire camp ground is not much seating. To be fair there are picnic tables under the room outside, but these still feel the wind and sideways rain… Our family ate outside on every one of our meals here and it was very cold.

This is the best campground we have stayed at for a very long time. We stayed in a one bedroom unit which was better than any motel we have stayed at. Clean, well maintained and fantastic central play area for the kids. Very quiet location - the cabins are nicely spaced out with plenty of room for parking. Super friendly and helpful staff topped off a great stay. This would definitely be my first choice to rebook if we’re back in Hokitika. 😊

Only negative was lack of air conditioning in the unit… we happened to strike one of the rare very hot summer days in Hokitika and it was sweltering at night - for security reasons we were reluctant to leave doors/windows open as we didn’t know the area (if seemed very safe, but you never know!). Even a fan would have been a welcome relief. There was a heater in the room which I’m sure would make it very comfortable in winter.

I definitely recommend everyone to stay here. The price is very very cheap. The facilities are perfect. They have a big kitchen with kitchen ware (all you need, pan, pot, cup, knife, dish ., etc). The playground is big. My kids enjoyed so much especially bouncing playground. You need to prepare your own soap&shampoo which is not the problem. Prepare yourself, if the weather is so cold and raining, the shared bathroom and toilet are separate from your room.

Family friendly, new facilities, clean and tidy. Stayed in one bedroom motel room which was nice to have private kitchen and bathroom. My cousin stayed in basic cabin with no bathroom and was intending to share ours but once we saw the facilities she was perfectly happy to use the shared toilets.

It was a little noisy in the evenings but i suppose that comes with having a playground!

The facilities are clean and everything seems new and well maintained and cleaned regularly. For families- the playground is awesome!

It’s a lil walk from the cabins to the toilet or showers or kitchen etc. but that’s normal for any kind of holiday park or campground etc type setup.

The Basic cabin room was clean, fresh and had electric blankets and a heater. The bed and the bunks are very comfortable. The showers have excellent pressure and the water is clean and heats up well. Toilets are clean and sanitary. The kitchen facilities are very large and includes all the cooking utensils needed and there is even an electric BBQ that cooked my steaks and saussies to perfection. There is an assortment of playground and gamesroom activities and also a lounge TV room. The staff are very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Quiet, relaxing and very fun place.

The communal kitchen was large, very clean, and well equipped. Loved the ping pong table in the games room! Studio apartment was modern, clean, comfortable, and quiet. Less than a minute walk to the communal kitchen/laundry/lounging areas.

There was a bad smell from our sink in the kitchenette whenever we turned on the tap. Our kitchenette only had a microwave, fridge, and kettle, so there were no facilities to actually cook in. However, the communal kitchen was perfect!

Small studio apartment equipped with comfortable bed, decent kitchen facilities, good shower but tiny bathroom sink. Community kitchen very well equipped, electric bbq grill very appreciated. Laundry facilities on site also. Helpful professional staff.

Bathroom sink was very small and mounted against the wall making shaving above it almost impossible.

Brand new facilities that have been built fit for purpose. The basic family cabin was roomy, warm and private and close to kitchen and toilet block. The kitchen was well appointed and clean. A wonderful community room next door with comfy seating.
