The location is excellent as it's just by the lake. The rooms is cosy and beds are fine. The staffs are friendly and check in is easy. I'd say it's an excellent choice for a stay! They have tables and chairs outside the cabin so you can enjoy the view. There are other amenities which we did not explore.

Nothing.

The main house is so convenient to stay with its cleanliness + utensils that we can use + great view + nearby shops. Staff were very accomodationg and friendly as well. Were actually planning to return to this hotel maybe next year and stay longer than 3 days.

Our house was situated a bit far from the reception desk to wifi and even our own mobile datas are not working much (there are some "dead spots" of internet around the house).. however, staff told us that they are aware on this issue and currently upgrading their system (by the looks of it, i think there expanding their lot as well).

We were lucky enough to have spent 4 nights here. I have stayed here before and it was just like I remember... amazing. The staff, the facilities, the 'location'. The location right on the lake with morning sunrises and picture perfect sunsets was so special. The first night we were lucky enough to have shared one of the best sunsets I've ever seen with the other people staying here at Lakes Edge and it was so incredibly special. The mornings having breakie on the verandah with the ducks, birdies, and rabbits was super cool, and the rooms were spacious and comfortable with everything we needed. We choice an ensuite room overlooking the lake. We were lucky to have visited during Lupin season where they were all out in bloom and covering the entire park. Very very beautiful and will definitely always come and stay here again and recommend to everyone who want to visit. The shared kitchens were super clean too which was a bonus. One of the best places I've stayed :))

Some of the pots and pans need upgrading and the kitchen knives in the room need sharpening as they were blunt and we couldn't chop anything properly... definitely not easy chopping up raw chicken, or carrots with a blunt knife 😂 Other than this I can't fault anything. We had a great time nonetheless.

1. Good location. My room overlooking the lake. Stone throw walking distance to the lake. 2. I thought it’s a good idea to congregate the cooking and laundry facilities at the premises. 3. Beautiful garden with lupin flowers. 4. Can see the stars at night.

1. Toilet basin super small. No place to put toiletries. 2. Can add a hanging rack in the bathroom. 3. Would be good to include a scissor for kitchen utensils. 4. Can consider to include a netting over the main door to keep out the insects while we keep the door open for ventilation.

We spent 500 dollar for 1 night in a cozy, lake-view chalet, perching beside "Lakes Edge". It was so lovely. We got private bedrooms, a huge and bright independent bathroom, a kitchen with full set-ups, and a table for the family to have the meal, while appreciating the stunning lakeside evening. Full pressured hot water geysered out from the sprinkler head, shampoo and body wash, cutleries, pots, even condiments... all provided. Anyway, the experience I bought was much more than 500 hundred dollars. Compared to the other hotels and their facilities, it is a fair price and I will suggest it for a family trip.

You can not fault the view you get in any weather or spot in this place. There were unfortunately many upgrades happening during our visit including the kids play area which was just across from our room, this was unfortunate but once they are done it will only make this place even more amazing for the kids too. There was no shortage of heating in this place either.

This was the most expensive stay of our trip and it was unfortunate that there was no playarea available.

The location is of course the best part, right next to the lake with amazing views!! This was our second time staying here, the first time we had an ensuite cabin and it was lovely. This time it was very busy and even 5 months in advance wasn't early enough and the few ensuite cabins were booked up. We stayed in a private cabin but with shared bathroom and kitchen facilities. The bathrooms were often very clean and nice, with shower stalls as well. Inside the cabin we were supplied with our own kitchenware to bring to and from the kitchen, which was really nice so we didn't have to scramble to find bowls etc like in most hostels, and we always knew they were clean. We would definitely stay again but I'd try to book early for an ensuite cabin, just my preference.

The double bed in our cabin was slanted in a strange way and needs some fixing or to be replaced; we didn't get the best sleep. The biggest issue is the kitchen, it is very small compared to how many camping/RV spots and cabins they have. Some of the stove tops don't work so lots of people waiting in line to use the few that do work, and there was almost no room left in the refrigerators, this was February though so maybe other times it's okay. And we did eventually find another small shared kitchen a little further away that seemed less busy, so maybe look for that one if the main one is crazy. We also adjusted our eating schedule because dinner time was too crazy to even be near the main kitchen.

This was our last overnight after a 2 week road trip before returning to Christchurch. We had been lucky with the weather up until our stay here, The 2 bed chalet was literally across the site road from the lake, couldn't have been better positioned. The king room was further into the site, but still had a lake view. We didn't get to enjoy it because of gale force wind and heavy rain. Would love to return here in better weather, Chalets were spacious, clean and as pictured on this site.

Only due to the gales, being opposite the lake, we took the brunt of the wind. This made the perspex roof of the veranda area scrap / squeak up the against the wood, so not a lot of sleep was had for those in the front bedroom. This was unfortunate and not much the hotel could have done about it to be honest!

We had a 3 bedroom cabin with kitchen, bbq, living room, and deck looking at the lake. Beds were comfortable and plenty of linens /towels. We walked a block to the hot springs, hiked the lake trail and up a small mountain next to the hot springs . Grocery store was a mile away. We also spent a day at Mt Cook. Location was perfect and cabin had everything we needed to cook and rest well. Laundry was close to our cabin and we watched « The Hobbit » on tv

The locatiion!! Our room E14 overlook the beautiful Lake Tekapo lake and beautiful mountains. We watch sunrise everyday during our 2 nights there. We have problem with our tv in our room and they sent someone to check but in the end they cant fixed it. But they refunded $100 to us:)

Our room dont have kitchenette but its ok since we can use the common kitchen there. There is no heated blanket on the double story bed. Heated blanket only on queen size bed so in the end my child squeeze sleeping with us as the weather is so cold.
