We had a wonderful stay at Tekapo Heights, situated in the stunning Lake Tekapo area. The view from the property was absolutely breathtaking, offering a perfect backdrop for a relaxing getaway. The room was immaculate and very well-maintained, providing a comfortable and cozy atmosphere. The attention to cleanliness and detail was evident, and it made our stay exceptionally pleasant. The location is ideal for anyone looking to experience the natural beauty of Lake Tekapo, with easy access to local attractions and activities. I highly recommend Tekapo Heights for anyone seeking a serene and picturesque retreat. I look forward to returning in the future.

Very well appointed; tasteful decor and quality fittings throughout. Parking was not a problem for us and access to the property was easy. It’s a hilly walk to the main area of Tekapo but it’s within easy reach by car.

I hope I’m not being too critical as first impression was very good. It came across as more of a bedsit with an oversized ensuite in relation to the bedroom. There was a tasteful timber cabinet which hosted a microwave, a kettle and the usual assortment of tea and coffee sachets. There was some cutlery and crockery inside the cabinet. Problem was; there was no place to sit and enjoy a cup of tea. There were two very nice chairs but hopelessly placed alongside the bed. There was a timber seat and table combo outside, but Tekapo being Tekapo it’s not always practical to sit outside. We had to defrost our car windscreen in the morning!

Extremely easy check in & check out Instructions to find the place were easy to follow. Location was lovely & quiet. Onsite parking. Room very clean & tidy with essentials provided & great heating. Lots of spare blankets if needed & a large space to put luggage so it was not cluttering the room. Liked that there was a proper hairdryer provided. The bed was the most comfiest bed I have EVER slept in... I wanted to take it home! A great stay, would highly recommend

Just a suggestion, a toaster might be a nice addition to the room, so guests can make their own breakfast. Also some better tasting tea bags

Good location within walking distance of the lake, we could also see the stars at night from the garden. The staff were very helpful, (although we didn't have the pleasure of meeting them) arranging contactless check in and check out.

Parking area is a little cramped and difficult to get in and out of. A view of the lake would have been nice, but these are minor things.

The room was very clean and equipped with almost everything we need. There is no facilities. All we did was self check-in. It is calm and quiet. Good sound insolation that we didn't hear anything from next door. It also has parking place for us. Overall very good! The location is not near to the lake. It needs driving, but only 2-3 mins away.

The table in the room was a little small for us. It would be better with bigger side table to enjoy the time staying in the room. The restroom was very big, but there was no tub in it. It would be perfect if there was tub.

Easy to access room from instructions on day. Fantastic view of Lake Tepako from elevated aspect. Easy walk to and from bars, restaurants and supermarket which are just down a short hill. Really comfortable large bed and nice en-suite.

Limited cooking facilities, just a microwave, fridge and kettle - a toaster would have been good.

We stayed for 2 nights. The room was very clean and comfortable and quiet. Not close to the lake so we didn't have any views.

The guide in the room said there were free to air TV channels. It wasn't working so I rang the manager who informed me there are no TV channels available. Need to update your information. Nothing worked on the TV which didn't really bother us, but it might other people. You need a degree to work out how to use the shower.

Gorgeous room, quiet location, really spacious and comfortable. Shower superb though if you were tall you might struggle. Lovely communal garden but private outside seating area. Huge TV. Short walk to the lake.

Height of the most powerful shower head and lighting in the bathroom was a bit poor, largely because there were bulbs out and mirror lights not working. UHT milk in the fridge whereas everywhere else has provided proper milk.

Beautifully presented, big bed, spacious bathroom and walk-in robe adds a touch of luxury, quiet surrounds, easy check-in/out with door code, free on-site parking. Great for staying multiple nights.

The thick mattress topper made the bed cosy to me, but way too soft for my friend. Can't win them all, I guess. Parking may be a bit tight for bigger vehicles.

The room, bed, accommodations and view were fantastic as the location is at an elevation above the lake. The television even came with Netflix--which we didn't get around to discovering until it was too late to enjoy it. This room was elegant! We had booked this place as our last night on the South Island and did not realize what a great find the town of Lake Tekapo was. There were choices of excellent restaurants with top chefs, and there were any number of hikes to be found. We ate at the Blue Lake Eatery & Bar. The food was superb.

I only wish that we had been able to stay longer!
