There was only one armchair. Communication with reception was poor: I had to call directly to know which was my room and how to get in and nobody left the key inside the room, so the morning after we had to look for someone and call again and again to get the key. We were welcomed by two giant spider webs just in front of the door and someone was at home... Not happy with that but still ok. Maybe an aracnophobic wouldn't have been so relaxed. (How couldn't you remove it while cleaning the room?!?!?!) The window above the bunker bed (we knew about that) is something crazy. Bunk bed is not cosy.

Just booked a night for a group of 8 in Ohakune, and it was spot on for our snow trip. The location is fantastic—only 20-30 minutes from Turoa and right in the heart of Ohakune, just a short 3-5 minute walk to restaurants. The rooms were clean, tidy, and each had a kitchenette, which added to the spacious feel. The check-in process was seamless, with clear instructions sent hours before arrival. We had 2 double bed rooms and one with a double bed and a bunk bed—perfect for winding down with a game of cards after a day on the slopes. Beds were comfortable, too. Overall, a great stay, and we'd definitely book again for another snow trip.

Can't think of any improvements needed—it was just perfect for what we needed at that time for an overnight stay

Kids loved #9 room Loved the bunk beds and wanted a room like this at home. Close in town good for an old fart who can't walk tofar. Comfy beds , before sleeping kids changed beds over n over . Shower pressure not great , at home we have a PowerShower. Found it odd that I never saw anyone in office but it all worked out ... Would love to return when there is more snow , we liked room 9 and parking round back . And next time bring mum ,so we won't leave our stuff behind . LoL water pressure in shower. Jug lid broken ,but still openable and usable , need my cuppa...

Self-check in was very easy. Our room had mountain view. There was a beautiful creek and lake and the sound of it was really soothing. The rooms were clean and bright. Loved the variety of tea selections. The smart TV was a plus, watched Netflix and You tube. Really nice restaurants within walking distance. Went to the Indian Restaurant "Magic Chilli' and their food was one of the best we have tried. Highly recommend.

All the wires for one of the TVs were unplugged. There's only one bin which is under the hand basin in the bathroom. Would be handy to have a couple more.

Loves the close proximity to the mountains as well as the many different restaurants around it. Definitely a great location for a vacation. A very cute water stream next to the property as well. Great heating and near modern amenities.

The bathroom could use a little update. When showering in the bathroom, the floor sinked in a bit and was a bit wobbly. The insides of the duvet was a bit brownish but maybe that could be a hard to get rid of stain. But overall nothing bad at all.

The room was clean and fresh and spacious. The stream and bush at the back were absolutely beautiful.

We were in room 8. When the guests in room 7 used the sink, the pipes were very loud and directly behind the bed, so woke us up. It would also be a good idea to put a chain lock on the entrance door as we didn't feel safe with just a push button lock.

A microwave and benchtop stove were available to cook our own food. Liked the central location close to everything we needed. Near the local petrol station. Easy to access room as it was already open with the key inside.

Everything was fine for the price. Would have been nice to meet the hosts instead of talking to them through the intercom of a closed door. Parking in the front is a bit tight.

Close to main street in Ohakune. Easy access to Carrot Park. Nice view of the mountain. Comfy beds and very cozy. All the amenities worked as expected. Would strongly recommend as a place to stay.

Could be a better sound proofing. We could hear the neighbors alarm clock. Luckily he obliged and not set the alarm when we asked him for the following day.

No food available but didn’t expect that. Booking was all on line. Haven’t seen any staff yet or spoken to a person, yet it all worked very smoothly. Clean and comfortable. Car secure and close by. Disabled access.

Device for making plunger coffee? Recommendations for resteurants open in town and available for supper and breakfast.

The patience, professionalism and that extra mile as I had requested some chocolates for my son's 25th birthday 🥳 And was wowed and so stoked to find the box of chocolate kisses awaiting on the bed 🤗 My family and I are so happy with our stay that we will be back for more future winter stays as our new location for a family vacay 💯 We highly recommend to families especially, the value is affordable 👌 And the staff are so lovely 😍
