We were in a comfy apartment which is like home away from home with all the necessary amenities.Everything was clean and comfortable.The hot water ran freely when needed.The motel is close to Turangi shopping centre.The motel staff are always pleasant and friendly.

Not the motels fault but there was a power cut just before 11pm. in the area so we didn`t get to see the end of the movie we were watching! No worries! Luckily we had our mobile phones to use as torches to be able to see to get to bed.Was one of the first times I hadn`t put a torch in my carry luggage for that sort of occurrence.

Although the facilities are old, our apartment was spotless and spacious, with a fully equipped kitchen, very convenient for cooking and, private shaded parking place. Free pool, jacuzzi, and mini golf.

A little bit noisy at night from the trucks on the highway. According to the reservation and the photos, our apartment was supposed to have a washing machine and dryer. Finally, there was no washing machine in our apartment, we used the shared washing machine free of charge, with powder provided by the lodge. The washing machine was only one and crowded and the dryer was very slow.

It had a comfy bed and air conditioning. A good location. It had a spa pool and pool, but I didn’t use them but they seemed popular with others.

It would have been nice to have a bit for furniture outside to sit out on. There wasn’t any outdoor furniture for my room, but there were two picnic tables that were for use for all of the rooms. If you wanted to sit outside you’d have to take your kitchen chairs outside. Also, I had only one light bulb that worked in the upstairs room, and that was only if you switched it on at the side of the bed.

The property is located in a convenient place surrounded by local shops, New World and gas stations. It sits behind a local park area which is good for family walks then it links to the Tongariro River Trail which was nice to walk around. The property provides entertainment for the children like the pool, a gaming room and Mini Golf. We enjoyed the Spa it was nice to use at night after exploring the area.

The room was abit out dated but the front reception mentioned that they were getting an upgrade.

Our apartment was large and comfortable. Our kids enjoyed being upstairs in their own "room". The staff was very friendly, and kindly allowed us to do a load of laundry for free. The location is quite good: about an hour from Tongariro and Taupo, and Turangi village itself has a decent number of restaurants and shops.

The shower was warm, but had too high pressure and didn't drain very well. Given the long distance from Wellington, I would expect many visitors like us arrive quite late, but the reception is only open until 6pm, so it was sometimes challenging to get a hold of staff. The sound proofing in the room was thin, so every night we heard all the conversations from our neighbors' rooms.

Staff was informative and friendly, room was warm cozy and accommodating had everything me needed. The amenities were great although we didn't use them due to us only staying 1 night there was plenty to do. I loved the fact that there was a washer and dryer no one likes to go home with dirty laundry and that everything was free no added fees to use any of the amenities as well as the washer and dryer and of course being close to town is a bonus and yes a good bang for your buck for sure!

Probably just the fact we didn't have time to try the amenities. Other than that, the room we stayed in isn't updated but I didn't mind it at all it wasn't a biggy it was clean functional and cozy so actually scratch what I said hehe. Maybe could do with more than 1 washer and dryer in the laundry room just in case its busy so no one has to wait too long. I think the bed could be bigger too, just personally although it was comfortable I'm a little well let's just say a little bit more wiggle room would be much appreciated for 2x fluffier adults 🤭

Location was right opposite the shopping centre and close to the supermarket. The room was spacious with extra loft bedroom area, large bathroom, lots of towels. I liked the fridge/ Hotplate, microwave so I could cook. I liked the spa and pool, and carpark. Receptionist was very helpful and friendly.

Table was very low so we couldn’t eat at it. Decor was tired with an areas that could be maintained properly. They are obviously undergoing a refurbishing procedure at the moment so I assume this will all be rectified in the near future. The cheap price made up for this for us.

The property was well positioned. The supermarket and a few places to eat were in walking distance. The bed was comfy and the shower had the strongest pressure in all of NZ. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool looked good and there were two spas. We didn’t use them. Hydro, a short walk away is great for breakfast and lunch.

It didn’t affect our stay but the property is undergoing a complete overhaul. The area surrounding the rooms is taped off and look sad. Some of the rooms are renovated and others not. We had a classic that was not renovated. It was tired but fine for our needs and very well priced. The food at the nearby tavern was basic.

Large unit on 2 floors. Spacious living area and two good size bedrooms. Both bathrooms were well equipped and there is a washing and drying machine. The kitchen was well equipped and there was air conditioning and fans. Staff were super friendly. Right in the centre of town so easy access to supermarkets. We used the spa pools although they were a welcome relief after a long day walking i would have preferred them to have been outside rather than in a small windowless room.

There wasn’t anywhere to sit out. Even round the pool no seating. They were making improvements to the external spaces which we were warned about so hopefully this will be better once completed. The bbq wasn’t very clean and it was at the furthest point away from our unit so we didn’t use it.

Reception lady very lovely and helpful. Was only here for 1 night with family, the room met all needs and was warm and lots of room as were 5 of us sleeping there. 2 bathrooms were great. For the price we paid for so many people was a great choice of Lodge, would love to come here in warmer weather for few more days next time.

Minor issue would be great if had sky channels and the tv reception was sometimes out but this does not take away from the great room as we generally not here to watch tv but to sight see or visit family.
