Cannot recommend this place enough so if you don’t fancy reading this probably massive review, summary is just stay here you won’t regret it. We stayed here for 9 days in total, never ran out of things to do and always felt like we had a great place to chill at the end of a hot/active day. The reception area is a great place to talk to other guests or the guesthouse staff with lots of card/board games freely available. They were very helpful throughout in where to go for food or what activities to do etc and always friendly. The owner Simon even took us to a pub quiz on our final night which was great fun and he helped us get back into our room when we were locked out one night…at 2:30am!! Idiots😅 Other perks: the wifi is actually better than mine at home ~200mbps up and download, the air con is great i.e. silent and powerful, there are shower curtains so there isn’t water all around the floor by the toilet, beach towels and snorkelling gear can be rented cheap, short walk into the main strip whilst not being in earshot of the clubs. Overall Ananas played a big part in an unforgettable 9 days.

My private room was very comfortable with a good A/C and shower. Towels were provided and free water. The guesthouse serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and different drinks. We had a very nice family dinner. The staff is very friendly. You can rent scooters too and book e.g. a canyoning tour. It has a security guard during nights.

It is not an actively socializing accomodation, so no organized group activities like in other hostels, but that was fine for me. I missed some hangers or a rope to dry my clothes outside. The guesthouse is located 10-15 minutes walk from the main road with a partially dark road, but didn't feel unsave.

Ananas Guesthouse in Moalboal is truly a home away from home! Simon, and his entire team are incredible—always going above and beyond to ensure your stay is perfect. Their kindness and willingness to help with absolutely everything make you feel welcomed and cared for from the moment you arrive. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it easy to relax and enjoy your time in Moalboal. Whether you need advice, assistance, or just a friendly chat, the staff at Ananas Guesthouse are always there with a smile. Highly recommended!

The guesthouse is in a quiet location with a 15-minute walk or a 5-minute scooter ride away to the beach where you can snorkel. The room and bathroom were clean with a shower curtain and bath mat. I liked the idea of open shelves and hooks in the room to hang and store clothes. AC was quiet, worked well, and cooled the room quickly. Power outlets on both sides of the bed. Strong WiFi as the router was outside our room. The guesthouse is a work in progress and has a lot of potential. 

Unpleasant smell in the bathroom but I think it's normal for most of the Philippines.  There's no ventilation in the bathroom either.

We were kindly greeted by the owner of the property, Simon, on arrival. All of the staff at Ananas are extremely friendly and helpful. They will be able to provide guidance and recommendations on how to travel around and book activities around the area and afar. The free breakfast that is provided is freshly cooked and delicious with enough options. The freshly made smoothies were soooo good too. We stayed in a private double room and it was clean and comfortable with towels provided. This hotel was small and peaceful and it is located perfectly on the outskirts of the town (most things are within 5-10min walking distance) so there is peace and quiet to sleep at night. There were other young solo travellers who were quite sociable and friendly whilst we were there. The cute doggos are a bonus. I wish we could have stayed for a little longer!

Nothing bad to say about this place to be honest!

Central location without the noise from the bars in the main road. Showers and toilets were clean. Beds had curtains and plugs. Mirrors and sinks in the dorms and a separate shower and toilet in the dorm too, apart from other general showers and toilets which was very convenient. They provide exceptional service; no need to have any plans, organised with folders in the reception you can choose whatever activity you’d like to do and transportation to other islands too. Very comfortable stay.

Not much of a social hostel.

Simon was a fantastic host, going above and beyond to share valuable information and recommendations with us after just arriving on Cebu. The accommodation had everything we were after a short walk or tricycle from the main strip with restaurants, bars, dive shops etc. Great location to meet other backpackers too. The organised tour from the accommodation was also great. Would highly recommend. Many thanks

This was the best in everything, they organized for us the tour to kawasan falls and the transport tò the airport, the room is big, the aircon is new and works perfectly, very clean, they rented us fast and easily a good scooter, the location is close to everything and they helped us organizing our next step in Philippines, was our best host in our trip, thank you!

Was everything perfect

Host (Simon) makes you feel like family. Family meals and card/drinking games at night which really make you feel at home. Host puts drinks ect on tab which is really convenient. Host invites you to join the group on days/nights out ect so friendly it's hard to say no!! Late breakfast so no rush in mornings!! Hostel is 5mins away from town so no unwanted noise. Security at night so feel safe plus don't worry about scooter getting stolen.

Shower takes 2-3mins to get full pressure, after that the shower is perfect 👌

Very clean, the staff is so welcoming and helpful to book your and give informations of what to do around. Loved the books they have about activities and transport The free breakfast is just the best you must try the pancake and omelette! The garden is very nice and peaceful, and the hostel is well located not far from the main center but far enough to be super quiet The beds are very comfy, 2 pillows per bed on the dorm and the pressure in the shower is the best I ever experienced in Asia!! Just loved this hotel it's for me a place not to miss if you go to Moalboal
