Safe place for a solo traveler; this is a guest house so much like a hostel, but private room with a bathroom. Super friendly staff, and helpful. Great value and location! Very walkable to cafés, park, shopping, etc.

The building is shared with other hostels/occupancies. I’d suggest signage at the first level; maybe a directory? I was unsure I was in the right place, although there is a sign outside. I think a sign inside stating to either use stairs or elevator to the 5th floor would be helpful. Otherwise I was pretty unsure/unnerved since the building doesn’t have reception as you enter.

Great location. Spacious room. The staff were friendly. Very clean place, shower worked perfectly. Even had a fridge in the room as well as Aircon if needed. There is a lift to the floor.

The room was small but very cosy and clean. The bed was good. The staff are friendly. The first room I stayed in was very noisy due to the street and construction outside. Then I asked to move. They put us in a very cosy and silent room. It was nice.

I liked the friendly staff! And the room was cosy. So nice to have a balcony and a fridge in the room! Also there is a shared kitchen, which is convinient. I'm extremely satisfied with what I got for so low price.

I liked my stay, but you should be aware of couple of things: 1. The rooms are at the 6 floor. And sometimes the elevator doesn't work because other guests didn't close it properly. If you are young and healthy it's not a problem at all. But if you can't climb the stairs it can be a problem. 2. No soundproof. I was awaken by the other guests in the middle of the night. If you have good earplugs or you can ignore the noise this is also not a problem. But if you are sensitive then it again can be a problem.

The room had everything one could possibly need.Loacation was ideal for getting around.Cleaniness was to a high standard.Very happy with all the above .To add high appreciation for the honesty of Casa Belmonte staff as they went above and beyond as I left behind my wallet with id card ,cash and other trinkets on the day of my flight leaving the country.They contacted me asap and have returned these items to my home in Ireland via the post that I am grateful for.A saying goes if you leave something behind it means you are returning and that I will be.Thank you Casa Belmonte,Dave and all the staff

Excellent location near the city center in a very nice environment. Bus stop in front of the hotel, metro in the immediate vicinity. Clean and tidy room with fridge and balcony to relax with coffee. The bed was very comfortable. The staff is very pleasant and ready to help in everything. There is also a shared kitchen, but we didn't use it. After check-out, you can leave your luggage at the reception and it will be kept for you until your departure. There are supermarkets and restaurants in the immediate vicinity. We were very satisfied with our stay and highly recommend this hotel.

The bed was comfortable, the AC and window kept the room cool, and the hot water always worked. My partner worked in the evenings from her laptop and appreciated the desk setup. We got some groceries so it was nice to have a mini fridge. It was helpful to have a common room with some utensils and tools like a bottle opener, and the washing machine was nice to have too! The best part was the roof access- the view was incredible!! It was great to be so close to things too- we walked and rode the bus.

There was a bad smell that came from the bathroom in the evenings especially, we couldn't tell what was causing it or how to stop it.

Receptionists were wonderful and attentive people. We picked the location to be away from the potential bustle of neighbourhoods like Alfama or Chiado. Casa Belmonte is on the fifth floor of its building and it was very quiet at night while we were there - no street noise with closed window, our neighbours were quiet. The location is walking distance to the Marques Pombal subway station which we used to get around, plus there's a lot of amenities like cafes, supermarkets, and a diner that was still serving dinner at about 10 PM within walking distance. Most spacious shower stall of the 3 places we stayed at this trip.

A great guest house : better than what I thought +++ First concerning the cleanliness = 10/10 : everything is top ; the bed sheets and towels and every single detail is very clean ( I am an OCD in cleanliness specially in hotels) The room is like 5 stars ( I have been to Lafayette Paris where the room is too smallll with no additional plus) : double bed very comfy, shower/toilet brand new with soap and shower gel and hair dryer ,, room very cozy and well equipped: fridge (very important even if we are out all day long it’s nice to put some private drinks and nibbles inside), TV,,, kettle with 2 private big mugs and tee ,,, nice woody furniture,,, and the most important AC 😊 There is a common big kitchen (home style where you feel your are home if you want to grab a plate or whatever) equipped where you can use what you need and clean it up after. There was a common rooftop through the kitchen but I wasn’t there. And I found the location is very good where you can reach casa Belmonte by 25 minutes bus from the airport. The staff is very friendly and nice (like all the Portuguese people: an amazing people always smiling and ready to help). It was a great place and when I go back to Lisbonne, I will blindly reserve at Casa Belmonte.
