Super location, great decor, very comfy bed. Super clean. Stunning balcony over Kurfürstendamm

At check in I was told check out is at 11am. Next day at 10:30 I had a knock on the door and a reception member telling me rudely that I missed the check out at 10:00 and I should leave immediately. I answered that I was sorry, and had been told otherwise, but instead of apologising for the hotels mistake, he kept being rude.

Location, Big room, With great natural light.

To get to the hotel you have to carry your suitcases up the stairs to the reception, the attitude of the receptionist, an older woman, was not pleasant, it was very simple, I think she doesn't like her job, she gave me a room with a view of the garden, I booked with view of the city, when I asked what was happening with my reservation, a young girl and a man were very kind, they changed me to another better room and the man helped me with the suitcases because in some parts of the building there is no elevator.

WOW😁 we loved this place! We had a large room that felt like a room in a palace but was super comfy. Very high ceilings and decor like velvety red with a large chandelier. The bed was the most comfortable bed of all the beds we slept at hotels in Europe the past 2 years! We were sad to leave. We had a neat balcony that opened up onto a major street where the trees were lit up with Christmas lights. The temperature of the room was very nice and warm. We did not do the breakfast there so can't give a review on that. The location was good as well.

So here's the deal- This hotel is in the Green zone of Berlin so If you rent a car from another country like we did, you cannot go in the green zone. We found this out after the fact, but thankfully it turned out to be a good thing. We ended up at a parking garage just outside the green zone. The parking garage charged us €15 for 3 days. The parking garage near the hotel was more than €25 a day. Plus with the fact we didn't have a green zone pass we could have been fine a lot .The parking garage was next to a metro station but we just took an Uber to get to the car.

The hotel is located near the Kurfürstendamm neighborhood. There is a bus station nearby but the Zoologischer Garten main station is a 10 minute walk away. The hotel itself has a very unique style as well as the rooms. Getting to the room is a bit confusing at first but after staying there a couple of times it gets easier to navigate through the inner yard. The staff of the hotel is very nice and friendly and so was the check in and check out experience. The room was reasonably sized and clean, with a big bed, private bathroom, a mini bar with drinks and towels.

Located steps from K‘Damm on a quiet street. Walking distance to the Tiergarden and many restaurants. This is an older hotel , with character.

Inconvenience of requiring 3 keys to access our room- main entrance key, 2 different fire door (corridor) keys, and room door key( same key as the 1st fire door key). Our room was at the end of the third floor corridor, and only room past the 2nd locked corridor door, and had access down a 2nd spiral interior staircase to a shared courtyard garden. No tea/coffee facilities in room, but there was a small stocked bar fridge.

Rooms were large and comfortable, good bed and great location close to transport, shops and restaurants. Plenty of storage in the bathroom for a change.

The electronic lock of the safe in the room was broken, needed a key to unlock, safe in the second room was not working and one of the thermostats to the radiators was broken and radiator was constantly on. Only small issues that we did not in the end raise with staff. Room had coffee machine, but not generous with the coffee with only two capsules a day.

I liked the location. I picked it for the closeness to my friends apartment in the same building. The room was very nice as was the bathroom.

The stairs and the fact the elevator did not stop on our floor. The fact no one was available to help with our luggage and no one available to help for early checkout. My key was turn in by my friend.

Room, breakfast, location and staff, all of them were very good! Clean and romantic with very suitable location. Close to U-ban, bus station, shops and restaurants as well! Great view and balcony in the room.

Reception doesn't work after 10.00 p.m. until morning unfortunately. There was a problem with the lift. It didn't work properly and few times was staying and not moving at all. And during the weekend and Monday morning nobody came to repair.

This trip was my second stay at the hotel . The room was clean and had everything what I needed. I found out that my coat was missing or gone and I asked to the receptionist ( a gentle man ) and he kept it for me after one of guests passed it to the reception it was so kind . I had the breakfast at first time the quality was better than any 5 star hotels though. The location is super perfect to access all the places I neeed to be . Hôtel Augusta is an absolute jewel of a find for any travel to Berlin. Location perfect, rooms large and beautifully maintained and the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. The full time reception is an added bonus and the breakfast a delightful way to start the day. Absolutely loved our stay and wouldn’t stay anywhere else when we return.

The one single down side was no coffee in the room. It had a kettle but no coffee.
