Beautifully decorated (brand new! I was honoured to be their first guest on opening) and impeccably clean, in a wonderfully central location. Only a 2 min walk to the riverside and ferry terminals, and to the city centre. Also lovely and quiet at night considering the central location. The warm welcome by Jessica on arrival and the thoughtful attention to detail and assistance (including an excellent restaurant recommendation) by all the staff during my stay was outstanding. I would highly recommend this fabulous boutique hotel, and look forward to visiting again soon!

It's a heritage building, predating the 1755 earthquake, in an historical part of Lisbon, close to the centre and to many major attractions as well as public transport. Staff are friendly and helpful, and the breakfasts are good. Our bathroom was large, with an excellent shower, and mirrors all round the walls which created an amusing 'hall of mirrors' effect. Guests are able to use at any time a tea and coffee maker in the hotel lobby.

The heritage nature of the building, while charming, does impose space limitations. Our standard double room was quite small (except for the bathroom) and had very little storage space; some higher categories of rooms may well have more space including balconies. Similarly, the breakfast room can get quite cramped if a lot of people are eating there at once. The bathrooms could be enhanced by the provision of facecloths - if you want one, you need to bring your own.

The hotel is in a great location, about 5 minute walk from Praca Comercio and the cathedral. It's on the edge of a small pedestrian square, so traffic noise is almost non existent. Our room was sort of adequate size, and had all the amenities and the bed was comfy. The bathroom was a good size with all the amenities and the shower was easy to use. We had a “balcony” looking out to the river, but due to Lisbon’s construction rules about balconies it's only about 8inches wide, so you can only just look from inside the room. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, bringing our bags from across the square and they speak good English. The parking garage (Campo das Ebollas) is only about 3 minutes walk away - not cheap, but convenient and reasonably spacious stalls. Wifi/internet was good, The adjacent pedestrian street is filled with cafes and restaurants.

Bartender had a ungracious interaction style.

Location was perfect, overlooking the river, next door to the historic Alfama district, walkable to most tourist sites. Near to many, many restaurants. The room was cosy and well designed, with good storage, lovely shower and toliletries. The little extra daily gifts like cakes, pasteis de nata, chocolates, port was a lovely touch. The staff were very helpful

The hotel is located on a cobbled square and the laundry is delivered with metal trolleys at 3am. The noise was incredible. However our complaint was well handled and they did their utmost to resolve the issue by moving the delivery to later and supervising it so it was quieter. We were on the 1st floor, higher up rooms would be quieter.

Breakfast was mainly continental with cooked eggs in various forms. There was a variety of pastries, cold meats and cereals etc. and hot drinks and juices. The location of the hotel was perfect - a few mins from metro (so easy connection to airport) twenty min walk to train station (train to Belim or coast). Hotel very close to cathedral and castle with a lift at side of hotel to reduce walk up hills. The thing that impressed us the most were all the staff. Reception were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. Waiting staff were kind and helpful and hospitality did an amazing job also. We were left cake on first day and hand cream on last night - very thoughtful touches. It is a coffee machine only in the rooms, so if you only drink tea like us take (or buy locally) tea bags and ask for a kettle on arrival and hospitality will provide this. If revisiting Lisbon I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Some drawers in bedroom would have been useful.

Loved this quaint boutique hotel. Room was cozy but functional and very comfortable. Bathroom was very spacious and beautiful. There was complimentary still and sparkling water in the room. Slippers. A safe. The lobby was beautifully decorated and the coffee machine much appreciated all thru the day. Hotel was in such a convenient location to pop back for coffees and a freshening up. The star of the show was the continental breakfast that included made to order eggs. It was amazing. Even had gluten free bread! Staff very friendly and helpful. Will absolutely return.

Bathroom had no outlets for hair tools.

I wanted a view of the water, which my room provided. The bed was comfortable and the linens were high quality. Everything was recently updated and very clean. The AC on high worked well to cool my small room nicely. The toiletries provided (shampoo, conditioner, body wash) were very nice and smelled amazing. I even purchased some (shop next door) to bring home. Hotel provided complimentary flat and sparkling water daily and a small welcome treat also. Employees were super helpful and spoke English. The location in the Alfama is the only section that survived the 1755 earthquake. One wall of the hotel is part of the original wall of the city. The location by the water though is at the bottom of the hill the city is on, so everything is uphill!

The room is very small in size, and everything is uphill.

This is a beautiful property with luxe modern finishes, in an amazing and lively location. The hotel is on a pedestrian street, so we walked less than half a block with our bags after being dropped off to access it. There is someone at the desk 24/7, as they have you leave your room keys with them when you leave the hotel, which means we were able to arrive and leave our bags early in the morning, until our rooms were ready. We booked two rooms for our group of 3 adults: a single room for me, and a double room for my sister and her partner. The single room is beautiful, with a twin size bed tucked into a curtained area with a nice mural, a decorative fireplace and TV, a mini fridge, a desk and chair, a lovely bathroom and strong AC unit with wall control. I was surprised at how much square footage I had to walk around my room - something the double rooms lack as the bed is large and takes up most of the room. The beds were super comfortable - with pillow tops and very clean sheets and pillows (like, I got makeup on one the first night and the second night, the pillow case was replaced!). The fixtures in both rooms were lovely, and we were greeted with a welcome treat on our first night, and a goodbye gift on our last night. They also refill your room bottles of still and sparking water at your request / every day. One funny thing about the double room was that the mini fridge was very tiny, more like one of those skincare fridges you get for face creams - a bottle of water had to be slanted in order to fit. It seemed like a temporary thing because a regular mini fridge like my single room had would’ve fit fine! Maybe you could request the “regular” mini fridge if you’re choosing a double room, lol. I saw a complaint about the single room being claustrophobic- far from true, in my opinion.

The breakfast, if you didn’t purchase it with your room, didn’t seem worth €17.50 per person - especially because the street / area is packed with cafes and restaurants that are much more affordable, and we didn’t have a bad meal anywhere we went in Lisbon. I’d recommend skipping that option and going out, but having a cafe in our hotel was still nice, especially if you’re in a rush.

The property was nicely furnished, clean and all in excellent condition. The staff were friendly and all spoke excellent English. The location is fantastic and is within short walks to lots of the tourist attractions. We wanted to go further afield one day which wasn’t a problem as there are buses and the metro nearby. Breakfast was a lovely buffet, something for everyone. On our last evening we were given a small gift. A lovely touch. Would go there again.

Our room only had a window onto an internal small courtyard so no views.
