Villa semana literally felt like we were living in paradise. The views alone are like something out of a move but the staff are what makes villa semana. The staff are so long and attentive and they treated us like family. The villas have everything you could need for a few nights away and we slept so well during our stay there.

It was sometimes tricky to get a taxi from the villa to Ubud but that’s the price you pay for staying out of the noisy and busyness. We always managed to get a taxi in the end but it just took a little longer in the evenings.

The rooms were lovely, water was refilled many times daily from galloons avoiding single use plastic bottles. The food was excellent, very tasty and perfect portion sizes for us. The staff were really friendly and helpful, the Balinese massage was just what we needed to relax, and the location amongst the rice fields and next to the river was very relaxing.

Despite being 15 minutes into Ubud on paper, this is not the case in practice, it took us almost an hour once due to the traffic. We were disappointed to see plastic straws and could have used more hooks for towels to dry them properly.

Located next to a serene rice paddy and close to the jungle, this property offers a old-world charm. The staff are friendly and accommodating, making the stay enjoyable. Ubud is conveniently accessible by car (using Grab or Gojek) or scooter, with a travel time of 15 to 30 minutes depending on traffic.

However, the property shows its age and hasn’t been renovated in quite some time. The private pool was not very clean or inviting, which was disappointing. A thoughtful renovation and a fresh update to the facilities would greatly enhance the experience and bring out the full potential of this charming location.

Everything is amazing, the views, the locations and the warmth of the staff. They take care of details, everyday during the turndown service they leave sweet treats, they offer daily tea and some treat as a courtesy at 4:00 pm. The spa is fabulous, in the middle of the nature. The facilities are a little bit outdated but the views, the nature, the staff and the little details are exceptional. I saw work the people effortlessly. I simply loved this place, if I come back to Bali I will stay here, without hesitation. The breakfast is also delicious and the area is breathtaking. The villas far exceeded our expectations! Our villa was so spacious with a separate living area by the pool, beautiful big bathroom and nice bedroom. We loved the outdoor shower and spent lots of time in our private pool but also really loved the main pool. The grounds and surroundings are so lovely and peaceful, and with only a few villas it often felt like we were the only people staying there. The staff were lovely as well and always went above and beyond to make things nice for us e.g after eating dinner in the restaurant we'd arrive back to the villa to the mosquito net pulled over, bed turned down, nice lights turned on etc. Really simple things that just made the stay lovely. There were lots of frogs, insects and geckos which I think people are turned off by but they are so harmless and honestly just add to the experience.

Literally nothing, everything was great.

Friendly staff, we had lovely decorations on the bed and bath on arrival. One day we had power cut during dinning, the Chef still able to cooked for us, using a torch, we had a lovely experience. Whilst the other staff member found candles so there we could have dinner by candlelight. The complimentary shuttle service into the town was great for us to explore Ubud.

We had daily treat from resort, Some animal came in at night, open the lid and ate our treat. We didn't realise how close to nature we are, try not to leave any food outside.

We traveled around Bali for four weeks and this was one of the best places we stayed. Everything was perfect, the private pool was nice, and the outdoor shower was also a great experience. The main swimming pool was spectacular, we spent more time there than in our own villa. The territory is very beautiful, clean, and green. The free 15-minute massage was great.

Like many places in Bali, the descent into the shared swimming pool is too sharp, I would recommend building a few more steps. They have a spa, but prices there are way too expensive. A floating breakfast option is not cheap, there are places nearby which offer this for free or small extra charge.

The food is freshly prepared and safe (e.g. they make sure that the ice is made from drinking water) and the resort is just like paradise. The spa is amazing directly at the river near the tropical forest. There are also direct rice field views from the resort. I can highly recommend to stay in villa semana. It's in the outskirts of Ubud, however, there is a free shuttle service to the city centre and Ubud City is very busy and loud. Thus, it's always nice to come back after a tour to this peaceful and beautiful resort. Also, Ubud is the center for culture in Bali and much more authentic than party places like Seminyak. It's great for couples but also families and friends as the bathroom door can be fully closed.

Beautilful tranquil setting and characterful individual villas within the resort. The spa setting was particularly good, lovely main pool area and good to have own pool at villa too. Staff were very friendly. We made good use of the free shuttle bus service into ubud.

Although set well back from the road, the location and lack of pavements made it difficult to walk to anywhere else. It was very much a resort based stay or get a car to somewhere else. There was a lack of things to do at the resort and we felt it could have benefitted from some board games for example. We had a 2 bedroom villa and whilst the main bedroom was very good, the smaller second room was somewhat poorer in comparison. It was also downstairs and across the open lounge area from the main room which actually led to our teenage daughter who we were travelling with feeling a little nervous about staying there.

It was extremely Comfortable. Service was outstanding. Food was all great. View from the Dining area was beautiful. Units were spread out and we did not have any issues with excess noise at any time.

We did have a a pest scratching around in the wall one night but the management sent men to stop it. But there were not successful and we had more noise the last night but It did not last long.
