Location was excellent. A taxi service was provided on call - 90 pounds to Heathrow. Water was available for free from dispensing machine. Staff very cordial. A members lounge was a great asset to sit and relax in peace - though no immediate access to nearby toilet.

Could do with some vending machines.. Breakfast too expensive - besides there are no options available if you do not need a buffet breakfast. Restaurant experience not too pleasant - seating with no back, and noice level too high. On a chilly night seating by the open door was another discomfort that could have been avoided.

The location is fantastic, the building / lobby is impressive, the hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff are lovely. We particularly loved the availability of complementary water, tea and coffee, 24 hours per day.

The bathroom was small and decor a bit dated, in need of modernisation. Would have preferred a shower screen / cubicle instead of just a curtain. Also, we had a superior room for 3 adults sharing. The third adult was on a large sofa bed but the position of this meant they could not see the television- the layout of the room could maybe be changed, to accommodate a third person better.

Staff is helpful, kind and Professional. I gave this hotel a higher rating because of the staff at the front desk, the restaurant/bar and housekeeping.

The property itself is lovely but the rooms are in serious need of an update. Very 80s and extremely small. Need some fresh air or windows that you can open.

Room was very spacious and quiet (which was surprising given the busy area). There was a washing machine and dryer that we were able to use which was very handy! It was also very handy having little touches like the filtered water and reusable bottles in the hallway. Was also really nice being able to go and get a tea or coffee from the lounge at any time.

Room only cleaned every 3 days unless you requested it. This meant that we ran out of some of the supplies like shower gel but the front counter was helpful when we did. Would be good to have fresh towels and toiletries each day even if the sheets aren't changed.

Bed was great.

Coffee in the room was terrible and down the machine downstairs was broken. They would not let us get a coffiee from their dining room unless we went in to eat. Worst staff ever checking in to a "grand" hotel. She tried to say we did not have a room even though we had confirnation number. It had been booked more than a month before. When she did find it, she tried to say our card declined but then agreed it did not and it was their system. Tap in Bathroom shower made a loud tapping sound constantly. Just so you know we don't usually complain but really felt this hotel was not what they say their ratings are.

The location of the hotel was excellent , near tube and all attractions. The staff was nice no lobby, but nice room with tea and hot drinks. each floor you can take a bottle and fill with water.

The room without any view, 2 small windows and very high so you can see nothing. They don't clean or tidy the room, only the third day of stay or if you ask... They room is not including safe and not a mirror (only at bath). The flood of the room was creaking.

Love the location. Centrally located near many attractions as well as the tube and train stations. From this hotel, it's an easy walk to the Thames, Westminster Abbey, Covent Gardens, etc.

Overall, I loved the property. I would have liked more amenities in the bathroom - i.e., extra toilet paper, etc. I also would have preferred the smoking block to be to the side of the front door vs in front of it.

The hotel couldn’t be any more central to where all the action takes place, on the doorstep of Trafalgar Square so all attractions and busy nightlife are within easy walking distance. The hotel is very grand and traditional with lots of marble and beautiful architecture. Room was a good size and looked out onto the streets. Bed was very comfortable. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful especially Lima who went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable can highly recommend.

The hotel only service rooms every other day which I found unusual in fairness they did replenish used towels on request but I missed not coming back to a made bed and clean bathroom

The location was excellent. Free self-serve laundry was very useful. Hotel was quiet.

The hotel is beginning to look like it needs repairs and /or updating. Price was a little high for the size and style of room we had. Asked for a room with a view and got no response from the website and during check in the attendant had no idea if our room even had a window let alone a view.

Excellent location, quiet and comfortable room, ironing table and a good hair-dryer were provided, as well as Nescafe and tea bags, wifi was fast and reliable.

The bed was too soft (perhaps too old/too used), the room was not serviced daily, but the most unpleasant experience was communication (or rather lack thereof) with the staff at the front desk. They didn't want to be bothered with doing what I assumed was their job: I was told to do check in on a hotel tablet myself (as well as check out), although there weren't any other guests beside my friend and me at that times, so I guess the busyness couldn't be the reason. The conversation was terse and my questions were answered with a bare minimum. I was rather disappointed, as I'd expect cordial and polite customer service in a 4 star hotel.
