The facilities were great, and the hotel was beautiful. The room, our cozy double, was indeed cozy. The breakfast staff was kind, the wonderful man serving hot food was smiling, kind and patient. The people at the front desk were kind, and even found time for you in check-in "rush hour". Truly appreciative of a great stay. When we checked in, the clerk found us another room with higher ceilings so-as-to accommodate my height, which was a wonderful gesture, and not something I'd have expected! We were able to forgo room service in exchange for a voucher for the gin bar. win/win to be able to both help the climate by reducing wasteful washes AND get a cheaper gin & tonic. What a life, huh.
When we arrived, I was informed that we'd have to pay an additional fee as a "safety deposit". This was, to my knowledge, not something I was warned about prior to us arriving. It could potentially derail a vacation for someone traveling on a tighter budget. It's not something I'm used to in my travels, as I usually expect a hotel to assume the best about their guests. Come to think of it, I'm not even sure I've gotten it back yet. While it was only 30 quid, I'd rather the hotel didn't demand a cover charge for potential vandalism. It was quite jarring to experience, when you've already paid hundreds to stay there. With that said, it was still a pleasant stay, and Strand Palace will surely be somewhere we return next we stay in London.

A great hotel and close to the centre. You can reach almost anywhere quickly. Bus stops are just a few steps away and you can easily shop for groceries and food. So you are right in the Center.
There was nothing I didn't like :) Everything was so beautiful that I was blown away.

If you are visiting London for site-seeing it is pretty much in the center of everything. You are 15 to 30 minutes walk to almost all popular sites. The vast majority of west end theatres are in the vicinity. There is a bus stop just outside the hotel and a subway station 5 minutes away. A bakery/coffee shop on the east side of the hotel offers some options for breakfast. Tesco and sainsbury in less than 5 minutes walk. Location is perfect! The room was very clean. It offered many amenities like iron with ironing board, blow dryer, shampoo, shower gel, conditioner, body lotion, kettle, a selection of tea, instant coffee, welcoming chocolate and bottles of water.
The room is a bit small although expected for London centre. The bed was ok but I wouldn't say it was comfortable. You can sleep fine but I've slept in better beds in hotels rated with less stars. The walls are thin so if you are a light sleeper or someone is checking in a room close to yours, you will wake up. Some minor details that didn't spoil the experience but it would be a big plus if they are fixed: The screws on the basket in the shower have rusted. The carpet was uneven near the room entrance. The shaver socket in the shower appers as if it was a quick job. The peephole on the door is not level so the cover doesn't close properly.

The location is great, it is easy to get to on the tube and it is easy to walk anywhere in central London. The hotel lobby was very pretty, and the lobby staff (doormen, porters and front desk staff) were very nice and helpful. My room was nice, it had enough space and storage. The breakfast was very good with a lot of variety.
I stayed in a single room, and it did not have a bathroom door. I guess that is one way to make sure only one person stays in the room, but I did not like having no boundary between the bedroom and bathroom. I was too tall for the shower, and in order to stand in the shower I had to move the shower head so high it was above the shower screen and then water went all over the bathroom. They say if you forego housekeeping you get a £7 voucher for the restaurant. I opted out of housekeeping for three days and only got one voucher (granted the first night I put it out late). My last morning housekeeping came into my room at 8:20am and woke me up even though check out was at 11am. The TV was also a bit slow and there was no TV guide.

Excellent location. Staff superb, friendly and with a welcoming smile. Room was clean and well set out. The Art Deco decor is beautiful. Have stayed here a number of times now over the years and have to say the hotel is the best I have ever seen it. The chocolate and reusable water bottle in the room is a nice thoughtful touch. As a solo traveller it is sometimes important to feel comfortable in your surroundings and made to feel as valued as anyone else. The Strand Palace would be my first choice every time.
More price deals would be great, I realise it is the location that is the key but these days price is also a factor and everyone loves a deal.

The location of the hotel was very central, the staff at check in was helpful and prompt. The bed was comfortable, lined and towels were clean, the (ritual) toiletries provided adequate and luxurious. The wifi worked all right, the a/c was perfect. Coffee/tea refills were great, appreciated the move to have refillable/reusable bottles, loved the nice bar of chocolate in the room, and the double shutters on the windows. I also appreciated getting the voucher that I could redeem at the cafe, for foregoing cleaning of the rooms.
The room size was smaller than what I expected. Would have loved to have a work desk/surface and chair in the room, but then there was literally no space for it. The walls between the rooms are kind of thin, I could hear even the tv next door. During my stay of 5 nights, for 2 days, one of the elevators was under repair, and that really slowed down getting in and around the hotel. The restaurant for breakfast was crazy busy every single day, with really long queues and wait times every day.

The staff are all so helpful and very efficient. They had no problem freezing my medical ice packs. The doorman was fantastic helping us get our Uber earlier today, thank you so much.. The constant information given during the fire alarm this morning (Saturday 30th November) was great, the experience was a bit unnerving but everyone remained calm.. The provision of the orange refillable water bottles is fantastic well done on helping save the planet.. The Christmas decorations are beautiful and the ballerinas were the icing on the cake for me. Very festive indeed.. Thank you for making our few days in London feel so special. 😊
The pillows, are too soft, one of the receptionists provided me with extra towels to make pillows seem a bit firmer.. There could be a few more hangars in the wardrobe. The toilet and sink are squashed together, a bit tight for a larger person and the "walk in shower" is very high off the ground for people with mobility issues. To have one bathtowel provided for 2 people was a bit strange, however, this was rectified immediately. The lighting in the room was a bit dull. No view considering it was a "Superior" double room.. The room is a bit on the small size especially between the bed and the wall. Perhaps a second chair would be useful as 2 people were sharing the room?

Very nice experience with the strand Palace Checked in and was happily/surprisingly upgraded, Perfect start to the stay. The room {845} was extremely clean and comfortable {And that went for the whole hotel} Lovely and quiet too 😌 I'll definitely book this room again. Albeit the shower temperature was a bit of a faff tbh. All staff I encountered were knowledgeable and pleasant 😀 Keep it up
My only disappointment is that the English breakfast although plentiful was very underwhelming! Fried eggs were over cooked, beans overdone etc etc I'll leave it there....... what I did manage to eat was tasty, but alas not inspiring.😞

I had a very pleasant stay at the Strand Palace Hotel. The location is fantastic, right in the heart of Covent Garden, making it convenient to explore central London. The staff were attentive and very respectful. After my first night, I raised a concern about the sealed windows (which is common in London) as it doesn’t allow for proper air circulation. They quickly found a solution for me, which I really appreciated. The housekeeping staff were also lovely and respectful of my privacy, and William, the server at the Haxwelle restaurant, was extremely helpful and kind. However, I found it a bit odd that there was no door between the bathroom and the bedroom in the single room I booked. If you’re staying with someone, this might be an issue, so keep that in mind. I’m not sure if all rooms are designed this way, but it’s worth noting.
