We stayed here for our anniversary and I emailed beforehand to let the hotel know- they made our room so cute with decorations and a lovely card saying happy anniversary. Our room was lovely on the top floor with a fabulous view - we had the windows open all night and were not disturbed by the outside noise ( you can hear music, but we enjoyed it coming back from a night out) The staff were all very welcoming, the location was perfect- literally everything you need just a few steps away. Despite other reviews, we found the hotel easy to spot from the street and had no problems finding the entrance. We did not use the bar or restaurant but they both looked good and if we were staying for longer we would have definitely gone to the bar.

Unfortunately, the bed was not comfortable and we found ourselves waking up multiple times in the time due to being uncomfortable. Had we been staying for more than 1 night, we would have complained but it was manageable just for 24 hours. Also, despite being a Z member and staying at another location previously, we were not entitled to the complimentary cheese & wine because I had made the reservation via booking.com and not directly through the hotel. I did think this was unfair.

The Z hotel is conveniently situated just around the corner from Covent Garden. Central London and many attractions are within a good walking distance. The hotel is so close to all the main theatres with lots of good places to eat in the neighbourhood. The rooms are modern, well kept and the hotel itself presents well and is cared for. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms on the courtyard side a very quiet, even our room this time was road side it was much quieter than expected. Value for money, modern, clean and great location.

My only very small complaint is there could be a few more hooks in the bathroom to hang up towels to dry

amazing location, room is a little bit small but enough for night sleep. very clean, and staff is good. we arrived late night and entered the room very fast.

the airco was not good enough - but we arrived during the heat wave, probably it is enough for normal summer days.

Staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was very clean & was great for me as a single traveller. Right in Covent Garden so location was amazing for getting around London. Certainly would recommend for that reason.

Wi-Fi was not easy to get on using my Apple device as firewalls were not happy with the unsecured network, but the staff were great at helping me sort it out. Only other suggestion for fellow travellers is don’t have the breakfast! Cost is over £10 and it was very limited. There are plenty of places to eat around the area and cheaper! The croissants & pastries were fresher & cheaper at Tesco express across the road - also no hot food options. Other than that it was a great stay.

Modern, clean, reasonably equipped (big flat tv, kettle for coffee /tea) efficient temperature control, quiet, modern bathroom. Excellent location of the hotel, a great place to enjoy London. Friendly and helpful staff

As described, the room was 9 m2. I have been in such hotels before and a few things could be better: no place to hang the bath towels, no small safe to be able to leave passport and keys in the room, the external window was always full of water drops due to how it was installed, see photoThe privacy in the WC could be better (again, comparing with similar size hotel rooms).

The location was amazing. Absolutely perfect for me and what I wanted to see and do while in London. The room was cleaned everyday despite saying they would only clean if you asked them to.

As a solo traveller I thought the hotel was a little unsafe. The door to the hotel and the lifts were able to be used by anyone, you did not need to swipe your key to get up the lift. A gate outside the hotel closed at 8pm and needed key access, but anyone could follow you into the building and up the lift. I felt scared coming back to the hotel at night. As an Australian, the price for such a small room was astronomical, however the location was worth the price.

I liked the location of this hotel. The staff were really good! I had two instances were I had to eat dinner really late because of the late-ending excursions I had during the day, so the menu offered at the lobby was really practical and tasty (I recommend the pizzas). I also liked the map of London I got off of the lobby. The elevator was a must for carrying the luggage.

It was a bit smaller than I had hoped for. If it had been bigger then we would have also had space for both carry ons we had (we barely did). I was with a friend and the fact that the double bed was against the wall made it a bit hard to get in/out of the bed. I also didn’t really like a transparent bathroom door.

Perfect location around all kinds of shops and restaurants. Room was small and without a window (basement floor) but everything was clean and very comfortable and very practical. Bathrooms water pressure and heat were perfect. In case you’re wondering which z hotel in the area to choose from, practically they are really really near each other.Just choose the one with the lowest price.

There’s a gate you have to pass through to locate the hotel a few meters after which may be confusing to some trying to find the hotel at night if you’re tired and coming from an airport unfamiliar with the area.

Location! Couldn’t get much more central. Was less than a five minute walk from most theatres, 1 minute walk from Covent Garden, less than 10 minutes walk from Trafalgar Square / Charing Cross. Both the room and food/drinks in the hotel bar were very reasonably priced for the area. Comfortable and modern, USB charging sockets were great as so many hotels still don’t have them. Would recommend if, like us, you’re going to be out enjoying what London has to offer from morning to night and are really only looking for a crash pad to sleep, shower and grab breakfast. If you are a traveller that prefers to spend a bit of time relaxing in your room, this probably isn’t the hotel for you due to the small room size.

Only small drawback was that due to the small room size, the bed was only accessible from one side. So if the person sleeping on the wall side needed to loo in the middle of the night, they had to climb over the other person.

You cannot fault the location of Z Hotel. It's a short walk to Covent Garden Station, shopping and food right on your doorstep. We were in London for 2 days to visit the Theatre and the hotel offered everything we needed. We booked the Junior Suite and it had plenty of room for the two of us. The room was modern and very clean. The staff were friendly and said hello each time we passed the front desk. The hotel was perfect for our short stay. There is a small dining area in the hotel. We opted to try different places in Covent Garden, but it did look very popular with other guests.

The only negative I have is the pillows. They were small and feathered pillows, so they lost their ooomf easily. I often wish all hotels would offer more ergonomic pillows.
