Great location, hotel had amazing character. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

No refrigerator or coffee/tea making facilities in room.

Excellent location, within walking distance of everything including the rail station, restaurant, shops, museums, boat tours … it’s all here. It’s right across the street from the lovely Central Park with its fountain, old growth trees and fabulous rose garden.

The property is very historic which gives it its charm and character. However, everything is very dated and the walls are paper thin. The train tracks are right next to the property and there is train activity all the time all hours of the day. If you’re a light sleeper, this is a challenge.

Perfect Location and balcony right along the main street allowed for great full moon and people watching. Close to everything. Historic building. Free Coffee station. Farmer’s Market in the park. Everything is walkable. Park was lit up in holiday lights with lovely classic Xmas music. Fabulous restaurants. Take a drive around the nearby neighborhoods to see beautiful homes. Down the street from Rollins College.

Sheet was stained. Furniture was ripped and the overall cleanliness could have used a little attention. Due to location, noisy at night. There were earplugs available in the room. The off site parking and $20 fee was par for the course. We were sharing rooms and there was a pull out couch in each. It was not made up (though we have advised staff multiple times that we needed it) so we had to make up the bed ourselves.

VERY NICE AMBIENCE.GOOD LOCATION.COURTEOUS STAFF. QUIET AND PEACEFUL

NEEDS A NEW TV IN THE ROOM. SOMETHING A BIT BIGGER.AND THE REMOTE WAS VERY DIFFICULT TO WORK WITH. THERE WAS NO HBO.FOR $250 I EXPECT IT. MATTRESS WAS NOT GOOD. VERY OLD AND CREAKY. ALSO NEEDS A MUCH BIGGER SIGN.WE PASSED IT TWICE BEFORE WE ACTUALLY SAW THE ENTRANCE.

The location is unbeatable. Right in the heart of the Winter Park historic district. The charm and character of this older hotel were also great. Manage your expectations...it's an old building. But that's part of what makes is charming. The balcony room was also a must have. We sat on the porch most afternoons drinking a glass of wine and watching the comings and goings below.

It could use a few modern updates. Like more outlets and an exhaust fan in the bathroom. Some of the paint/plaster in the bathroom needs to be repaired.

This is the first time our room was in the front of the hotel overlooking Park Avenue. The balcony is shared with plants between rooms but we felt it was private enough. The room was quieter than the back side of the hotel which is very close to the Winter Park railroad station.

We love the character of this hotel and stay here every time we visit Winter Park and there is availability. You can hear the trains and the hotel is in a vintage building so if that does not appeal to you, then stay somewhere less convenient or more expensive.

The location and historic aspect of the hotel was lovely. All of the old furniture and paintings on the wall are beautiful and done very well. The hotel creates a historic aspect which is very cool considering the location. The staff also assists you with almost every specific need.

Room had a windows to Park Avenue, the main strip in Downtown Winter Park, but the window shades did not open apart. The only thing you could do for a view was slide the shades up and down to create a limited view.

We love the historical charm of this property. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, and when we checked in, they shared a lot of the original historical details and stories with us. She also upgraded us because we were celebrating a birthday.

The noise level was on the high side. Because this is a historical property the insulation isn’t super great and it is right next to the train tracks and a loud bar with music. However, when you check in, you can ask for a white noise machine, which helps a lot.

Location, ambiance, the lobby, the comfy bed and sheets. Thank you for having AC. Loved the balcony and garden hanging there. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. Near all the great restaurants and walking distance to the boat tour and Morse museum—which is one of the best museums I’ve been to.

I was sad to not have the continental breakfast that was mentioned in one of the welcome letters. They had stopped it a year ago. It might be time to lose the tv cabinets and go flatscreen on the wall. It was awkward and made the room a bit too cluttered. More hooks in the room and doors.

I got a an upgrade to balcony room, overlooking Winter Park town square, with one queen bed from the standard room room with two. The hotel was built 1992 and has some old time charm. It means the facilities are not fully modern but they are clean and they work. The hotel is family run and you sense that from the first minute. It is situated right in the middle of Winter Park so once you're there you don't need your vehicle to explore the town.

There is coffee available for free but not restaurant. There are several good places for breakfast short walk away. It's close to the railroad station with SunTrail commuter trains passing about once an hour but not during the night. Parking is valet parking at $15/night but that's cheaper than the car parks around.
