The hotel is quite good positioned within London. Very close to Russell Square, which has a direct tube connection with Heathrow, and also near King's Cross, which makes it easy if you are traveling within the city (the underground is very well connected) or somewhere outside the city for the day (you have trains from King's Cross and St. Pancras from basically anywhere). I have stayed there once and would stay again. The self check in was also very effective and easy.

The only problem for me was the limited connection with the staff at the hotel. The reception is very small and just works from 10:00 to 19:00, if I am not mistaken. So trying to get information or something extra (like soap or clean towels) has to be done during the day and during the day only. If you have appointments or are at work, it basically sets you to not have any interaction with the staff. I needed an extra towel one night and could not get it, even though they have a phone number for emergencies (I preferred not to use it).

Convenient location, warm, clean bedding & towels, good shower, fridge, tea & coffee, helpful staff, great price. Plenty of places to eat close by and convenience stores. Kindly looked after our bags after we checked out as our train wasn’t until later in the day.

I think first impressions with old staircase in need of a bit of tlc made us feel a bit wary but we couldn’t fault our stay. After a cold wet day it was a lovely warm room to return to. Bathroom door hard to slide across but shower and bathroom itself clean and perfectly acceptable.,

Room number 12, itself was good, there were a few steps to carry your heavy suitcase, it was manageable for this septuagenarian. Room was good even though it's not air-conditioned, they provided a small table fan that was adequate. Bathroom was clean and kept clean. I stayed for two nights. I could not get the coffee maker to work. Checking in and checking out was okay, it was rather robotic and mechanical. I did not mind.

Only problem is that there is no reception desk or a person that you can talk to. I was hoping to talk to somebody to hold my luggage while I explored the sites around on my last day of stay, sadly they did not even respond to the email.

the property was very clean and close to bus stops so i could get to places i needed to go, an extra plus was a chiller in the room so i could keep drinks cold! having the ipod dock in the room was also nice because i could listen to music while getting ready, though this didn’t charge my phone at the same time

the only thing i wasn’t a big fan of was the two doors to get into the property having quite a small gap between, i had a large backpack with me and once the door that needed a keycard had been closed you had already given the keycard back! i got stuck trying to get through these doors with my large bag but there’s not that much that can be done about that 😂

Really good location - walking distance from the stations, British Museum and Covent Garden areas. Unassuming from the outside but clean and nicely decorated in the room. Comfortable soft beds, drink making facilities, tv and a clean, workable bathroom. Helpful receptionist on the first day, checked i was okay on the stairs as I use a stick. Very welcoming.

Noise can seep between rooms depending on how loud people are being, and there are lots of narrow stairs so, while i was okay, if you have mobility issues and stairs aren't suitable, this may not be the place for you unless you request a ground floor room.

The hotel was a 15-minute walk from King's Cross Station, easy to find and immaculately clean. We stayed for one night and were surprised at how quiet our nights stay was, considering the other reviews. The bed was very comfy. There were plenty of towels, toiletries, and loo rolls stocked in the bathroom and coffee/tea making facilities. The room was fitted with a desk, double bed, and ensuite with a shower. The gentleman on reception was polite and friendly. We checked in without issue and enjoyed the easy check-in/out system. We didn't need to take the tube once during our stay. All of the activities we had booked were a maximum 20-minute walk away, so you really can't beat the location or the very reasonable price.

You can hear other guests moving about the hotel (up the stairs). We appreciate that this can't be helped, but perhaps a carpeted runner would help to minimise the noise.

Hassan, the member of staff who received us, was very kind and friendly - he even allowed us to enter our room one hour before the official check-in which was extremely helpful. The location is superb, a quiet street in a residential area just two blocks away from St Pancras, King's Cross and Euston stations, and also within walking distance to Russell Square tube station. The room was very comfortable, clean, modern and it had everything we needed for one night, including free coffee and tea with milk and sugar, and even a little fridge!

Nothing bad to say, everything was up to our expectations considering this is a budget-friendly hotel. I've stayed in other similar hotels in the area and this is the best one by far. If you're going to be picky about where you're staying in London, you know you have to pay a much higher price tag - if all you need is a clean room with a comfy bed and a working shower in a good location, this is definitely one of the best options out there.

The hotel is not staffed so it is self check in/out and is self sufficient. The room was clean and compact however had tea/coffee making facilities as well as a fridge for keeping purchases cool. The hotel is not air conditioned but then this is London and not many small hotels are. There is a set of traffic lights right outside so there will be traffic noise but this is central London so was expected, I slept with the windows open as I like fresh air (as fresh as it is in the Capital) and would definitely stay again.

Fantastic location, decent price and room was very clean. Our room was on the 3rd floor and was a good size and standard (although not sure it warranted the 'luxury' tag.) The receptionist was very friendly and helpful when we checked in and the access into and out of the hotel was easy.

Only downside for us was the noise from outside during the night, which we appreciate was not the responsibility of the hotel. This may have at least partly due to it being the evening of the Pride march \ celebrations. The staircase to the room is fairly narrow and I don't think there was a lift, therefore would not recommend if you have mobility issues.

Location was great, and quieter than expected. Room was well appointed, good size for one.

There are lots of very narrow steps - not an issue for me but would be a problem for anyone with a lot of luggage and/or mobility issues. My room had a tiled floor which I think is good for cleanliness and coolness in summer, but it’s slippy if you have socks on!
