When I read the reviews about this hotel, I had a rather negative attitude. But the location and price seemed great and that's why I chose it. Once there, it turned out that my fears were unfounded. The hotel is not modern, but very cozy. The room was small but very comfortable and clean with its own bathroom. I can't complain about the cleanliness. The room was cleaned every day and we received fresh towels every day. A kettle and tea and coffee making facilities are also a big plus. I had no problems with hot water or opening the window. The staff was very nice and polite. The nearest metro station, Highbury/Islington (zone 2), is a 20-minute walk away, but you can also quickly get there by bus 30. For this price, I highly recommend this hotel if you want to explore London and be close to the center.

The staff were really helpful for everything we needed, even unrelated to our stay. Very kind and easygoing.

The room was a bit too small to accommodate all our luggage. But the staff was willing to keep it at the reception area.

Great staff, good location, nothing to complain about in the room. For the price, in the middle of london it's great. Comfortable, plenty of towels, easy check in and out. It does what it says on the tin. Having run a hostel myself for ten years, I wish I'd kept it this simple. 😅

I stay here every time I go to the football the staff are very friendly it’s in a great location and really good value for money

I love the cozy atmosphere in the old building and the helpful reception staff. It is a very friendly place.

Some of the amenities are a little worse for wear.

The room was clean and beds comfortable, we were on the ground floor and just had a view of the back of the building but this didn’t bother us as it was very quiet at night, the hotel is about 15 minutes walk from tube, there is 24 hour reception and the staff were very pleasant and friendly

The sink in bathroom is very small but not a major problem

This was my third stay, the Inn's always good VFM. I like venues with 24 hour desks like this one has. There is a Sainsburys and a Tescos locally and a couple of decent pubs, plus what look like decent restaurants although I haven't tried them yet.

The Underground and Overground aren't especially nearby, although there are plenty of buses

The accommodations were immaculate and conveniently situated. The staff demonstrated exceptional helpfulness and friendliness. This establishment is an ideal choice for those seeking a restful and comfortable lodging.

The only aspect of the hotel that did not meet my expectations was the diminutive size of the room.

The location is excellent with a bus stop for buses from Islington and central London just opposite an a stop for buses into town a short distance to the left. Bus tickets are easy to manage now as they accept payment by card. There's no underground stop by the hotel - it's about 10-15 minutes away from Angel on the Northern Line but a couple of bus routes go pas the hotel, include the 73 which runs down to Oxford St. Essex Road is gentrifying and there is no shortage of cafes and shop close to the hotel. I could reach my room on the second floor which having to go upstairs. There is a platform lift available, a bit slow and ponderous but it gets you there (you just have to remember to keep the button pressed until you've arrived at your floor, When I was there (even on a Friday evening), the place was calm and quiet (don't be put off by the "Inn" in the name, it's no a pub as I initially thought (I was prepared for a noisy evening but it's calm). It's one of the few hotels in Islington where the price of a night's stay is closer to 100 than 200 pounds. I had a small single room but it was big enough for me and very clean. They don't serve breakfast at the hotel but there are plenty of places to choose from along the Essex Rd I'll probably stay there again next time I'm in the area

O There was nothing that i had any issues with,

I enjoy very much the cosy and homely atmosphere that you get from these older houses. It's in a good place, not snack dab in the hustle and bustle but not too far away from shopping, food, and entertainment, such as the amazing Garage club. I would stay here to get a taste of real London, away from tourists and manufactured image.

My main grief with hotels is usually water pressure but this time the pressure was fine though the water was a bit too hot. Maybe it's a matter of tweaking but I didn't bother this time as I was only staying the one night.
