The family provides delightful services and assistance. Very clean establishment. Breakfast is lovingly prepared by adult son Mark and served by his always cheerful mum. Patrick the Dad does the dishes. Take some time to explore the magnificent gardens in the rear. Serene and well kept. Bus stop from.town literally outside their front door is a great convenience. A magical walk to town over the Marsh along Broken Bridge trail is a must, even if a little longer than walking on the street.
My groundfloor room, #2, might have used a desk light near the bed. Never saw the upstairs rooms, which I suspect were better appointed. Mine was a little Spartan, but it bebefited by opening onto a lovely small coutyard. There are only 2 bright unshaded room lights that are a bit much at night for reading or watching TV. Some additional cushions to sit on in the garden or chairs might entice visitors to enjoy the gardens. I like porridge in the morning-oh well.otherwise we'll prepare English breakfast.

Beautifully preserved older building. Charming decorations, very clean and quiet. Bed quite comfortable. The hostess who greeted us – Hillary – was warm and welcoming, made us feel very much at home. Everything in the room was exactly as described on Booking.com. Breakfast was included – and it was absolutely delicious!
One thing that absolutely surprised us was that the door to the toilet had a large window. It was partially frosted, but still had a pretty clear view of the toilet for someone standing on the outside of the bathroom door. Perhaps some kind of curtain could be put there to ensure privacy.

Friendy and comfortable B&B near the centre of Salisbury. A short walk down a nearby side road leads to the water meadows and the city centre is within easy reach. The property is near a main road and although our room was at the front, we were not distrubed by the traffic. The room was large, clean and tidy and well furnished. Guests can make use of a large sitting room and there is also a wonderful garden. Full English breakfast was excellent. Free private parking available at the front. Very welcoming and friendly staff
Everything was great

The Old House is a hidden gem that certainly deserves to be experienced. It offers high quality accommodation set in a tardis of a building that begs to be explored. This a family run business and the atmosphere is one of friendly efficiency that fills you with confidence. The breakfast is excellent, with choices of cold or cooked food. Situated about 15 mins walk from the railway station and on a bus route (PR3) from the city centre that stops outside the hotel. There is off road parking if required. If you want a low key stay that is relaxed and easy then, The Old House is the place to stay.

I can’t say enough about how wonderful this bed-and-breakfast is in Salisbury and the host and his two amazing assistants. This comment includes the wonderful breakfast each morning. Without hesitation, I would return to stay with this host. My last comment would be to reflect on how personable and even professional the host is and again his two assistants.
Nothing could have been better. Let me repeat that: Nothing could have been better.

Excellent welcoming with Mrs Anne Member of hotel chatted with us after making the booking to make sure that our room was done at our expectations Room was cleaned!!! It was the best cleaning room never ever seen throughout my holidays Location was excellent, easy walk to Salisbury centre and shops at the doorstep Available free parking at the property Quiet area to sleep
Perhaps just my personal taste, I am into a sweet breakfast such as croissants, cakes pancakes and a good latte. On a breakfast paper there was no alternative option but there was a box for extra requirements (just I didn't feel to bother but I am sure this could have been arranged with them) :)

The house is beautiful and the owners and man who cooked and served breakfast were very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was 10/10 - perfectly cooked and delicious. The bed was comfortable and the room was a good size. There was parking on site and we were given a map of Salisbury and directions to help us find our way around. I would definitely recommend.
Everything was wonderful - nothing to dislike.

Mark was a responsive and friendly host. He had useful information and helpful advice. His mother was a delight, especially as a server at breakfast. The full English breakfast was excellent. Their house had an Impressive garden. Very convenient location within walking distance of the Cathedral. Spacious living areas downstairs.
Tricky to get out of the parking area onto the main road, especially if you are from the USA and driving on the "wrong" side of the road! It was very hot in the room, even with the windows open.

Great location in Salisbury, where we walked to/from our event which was planned for our one night stay. We were met on arrival and taken to the room and then handed our keys for the room and front door of the property. In the morning we received an excellent breakfast, cooked to order which really did set us up for the day on departure. The owners are extremely friendly and offer local advice if needed. Certainly recommended for a stay in Salisbury.
