We were welcomed and shown to our apartment didn't expect it at all just expected a room in the main building which I think there are but also rooms like mini cottages, which we were in,I asked if there was any chance of a table for dinner and was told a table had been reserved for us also it was happy hour! Plus plus, food was lovely, bar staff and waitress were great too.We stayed two nights and didn't book a table as we thought we wouldn't be back till late but we were early, restaurant was fully booked with Christmas menus, but we were asked if we didn't mind waiting until they had all been served they would see what they could do,we only wanted garlic bread and chips and were told oh we can get that now no problem. So impressed with the staffs helpfulness and friendliness, bed was comfortable, room was warm and breakfast was lovely.

If I'm going to be critical at all I'd say our room could have had a better clean,it was not in the slightest filthy but window frames and the bath had a tide mark which could have been age related,it would not stop us coming again as our overall experience was great.

Great location and views, very peaceful. Helpful staff. Early check in. Loads of parking for free. Quite well signed -necessary as it's a little way down a dead-end farm road.

Bar closed and no food available both the evenings I was there, though to be fair I was already aware of this. Breakfast menu seems more constraining than the actual choices e.g. you are, after all, allowed to have toast with your cooked breakfast, and I was able to have a poached egg with my sausage. Milk in the room comes in plastic tubes which spray out when you try to open them, or at least for me with fat thumbs!

The hotel, grounds, and surrounding area are all lovely. Our room looked lovely and was very comfortable, and a good size. We looked out onto fields of sheep, and it was really very nice. The breakfast was absolutely lovely, and was served in the Scullery, which is a beautiful old room. The restaurant is very nice and the food is delicious. Both of the waitresses who served us were very friendly and polite. I will definitely stay there again.

The lighting in the room could be a little better - had to shift the mirror around to get the best light to put make up on! But I managed and it wouldn't stop me gong back!

The accommodation and staff were extremely nice couldn't of asked for more. Location was remote which is exactly what we were looking for. The room was tidy and clean and the bathroom was simply all we needed with a very spacious bath. The beds were comfy and there was enough room for us to bring back food from the restaurant as we had children to settle. The chap on the bar couldn't of done more for us in making that happen. Seating outside was lovely and we enjoyed a small walk on site which was nice for the children. All in all a lovely stay.

Breakfast was a little chaotic. One young staff member to run the restaurant who quite simply had to much to do as we asked several times for milk for cereal and sauces for cooked breakfast unfortunately they were forgotten and so we couldn't eat the cereal and breakfast wasn't as good for the children without sauces! Of course we didn't complain as we could see she was under pressure but not clearing plates made things quite difficult for us as a family of five to move around. So really the breakfast was a waste of money.

We had a great stay at the Coppleridge. We visited for a wedding in the area, arriving very early in the day (11:30) and the team were kind enough to find us a place to get ready. The whole team were wonderfully accommodating throughout our stay. We slept excellently in the room which was perfectly quiet and gave lovely views across the surrounding fields. The breakfast was really great and we enjoyed a walk around the grounds of the inn after breakfast. Would visit again without hesitation!

Hard to fault the place really. If anything it's a little tough to get to unless you're driving, but that's not their fault!

The location is peaceful in the beautiful countryside. It is the prettiest group of buildings and looks like a place out of a tourist advert. Even the rooms look picturebook cute. The rooms are fabulous, spacious and the beds are so heavenly! We had a first class dinner, melt in the mouth steaks out on the sun terrace chatting to people at other tables. It was like being in Italy under the vine draped canopy. The pub section is just so what a person would imagine an olde English pub/Inn to look and feel like. The surroundings could not fail to put anyone in a good mood! Our kids joined in with other guests kids playing on the tennis courts and they all had a great time, while the adults soaked in the tranquility that seemed to ooze from the Inn. The staff could not possibly have been nicer during our stay, lovely, chatty, personable & professional. Nothing was a problem and there were no problems during our stay. Stresses just seem to melt away and the outside world ceased to exist! We would very highly recommend staying here. It seemed to have all kinds of people staying there, but everyone was civilised and respectful in maintaining the tranquility. We found out in the morning that it is also a wedding venue. Staff were setting up for an upcoming wedding, and it looked so perfect for anyone wanting a unique wedding in a beautiful countryside setting, with a lovely venue and guaranteed scrumptious food & drinks with their friends and family.

There is NOTHING to complain about. It is the perfect place to stay!

The guest rooms are across the courtyard from the inn in what looks like converted stables (or something similar). Our room was surprisingly large and with a large bathroom featuring both bath and separate shower. The bed was large and comfortable and there were two armchairs which were very welcome. The inn is approximately 5 miles away from Gillingham and close to the edge of Motcombe. There was absolutely no traffic noise at night - leading to a good night's sleep. The next morning we had a very nice cooked breakfast served by very pleasant staff. We will definitely return to the Coppleridge.

The guest rooms have windows on opposing walls and so the curtains have to be closed for privacy. It's only a small matter but the curtains were a bit "tired" with some not hanging on all their hooks and, when closed, still leaving gaps at the sides. As the guest rooms were across the courtyard from the main building I would have expected to find umbrellas in the rooms to keep us dry when going to breakfast when it's raining. These are both minor points and should not detract from the excellence of accommodation.

The rooms are clean and plenty of bedding is supplied. We went the weekend so breakfast was served 8am to 10am. It was very good with vegetarian options. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The exterior access means that if you are visiting a local venue and its late you do not have to have special access to get back in your room.

The room is a little distant from the car park, which isnt well illuminated, it would be good if they had PIR lights. The room is located in small chalet-like rooms that are accessed down a narrow path that can become obstructed if other chalet doors are opened. Although the room has thermostats, i think the heating was not switched on on arrival. The vegetarian breakfast was smaller than the meat one. The room had wall lights, there was no option of a small night light to illuminate a path to the ensuite toilet (important for the elderly and young children). The bathroom fan is very loud.

Nice clean room. Comfortable bed. Welcoming host. On site parking. Very nice breakfast.

The massive white plastic marquee! Totally spoils the ambience of the location. A great big white tent outside our door and completely taking over what is a pretty courtyard with a pond. I get the need to boost income and host weddings but it’s an eyesore in my opinion and should be moved round the back.

The location was very convenient with plenty of parking. The room was quiet and clean and staff were friendly and helpful.

We spent 2 midweek nights at the Coppleridge Inn before moving on to the South Devon coast. We enjoyed our stay although there seemed to be fewer guests than might be expected in July and there was some building and grounds maintenance work in progress, which wasn't too disruptive. Our impression was that the business was possibly geared up for weekend receptions and not just for short stay travellers like us. But overall it was a good stay and we would return if we were in that area in the future.
