Hotel Zach is centrally located, within easy walking distance of the train station, old town and numerous restaurants. It is a perfect base for exploring the city and beyond. The nearest ski resort is around 20 minutes away on the local bus. This is the second time that we’ve stayed at Hotel Zach. It is spotlessly clean; the rooms have all that you need. The breakfast is plentiful, delicious, with lots of choice. The staff without exception are all very helpful, friendly and go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. Special thanks to the reception team and to Alvina in the restaurant who made us so welcome and greeted everyone with a smile.

Location is v.convenient basically one block to main street or two to railway station. Lovely welcoming receptionists. Nice breakfast with coffee orders taken & brought to table. Shame only one hot coffee,despite requests, during stay. Don't Austrians like it hot? Slow to refill scrambled egg tray. Attentive breakfast staff. Night access worked v.well after 9pm. Locals pronounce name as Hotel Tack,not Zach.

As a single, scored a garden room ( no character but good facilities) which meant 2 lots of steps even using elevator. No help with suitcase. Needs a fridge and no ability to control heating/ aircon. Doona too heavy for mild nights. No room coffee/ tea making.Hotel name is faded grey above building so doesn't stand out.

We had an excellent stay at Hotel Zach, thanks to the incredibly kind and accommodating receptionist. Despite our late check-in around 8:30 PM, she patiently waited for us after we had left our baggage earlier in the morning. Her hospitality truly made a difference in our experience. Our room was in the annex, and it was impeccable—very clean, spacious, and well-equipped. The surroundings were quiet and pleasant, adding to the overall comfort of our stay. Everything we needed was thoughtfully provided, making it a hassle-free experience. We highly recommend Hotel Zach for its excellent service, comfortable accommodations, and convenient location. Would definitely stay here again!

We were welcomed by a charming young receptionist who was very helpful and friendly - a really good first impression. The hotel is brilliantly located for those arriving by train - it’s just a short walk from the train station and is on the edge of the shopping area in a quiet street. We were very pleased with our room which was large and light, thanks to all the windows in the separate office area, overlooking a central courtyard. There’s tons of storage, we supposed for those guests who spend longer periods here. Breakfast was excellent - definitely worth going for. Loved the packet of flower seeds upon departure 😊

We only discovered at the end of a 30 degree day that there was no aircon and it was a hot night. Also, while there is a safe, the room could have done with a fridge and coffee making facilities as is becoming the norm in other hotels.

The hotel is very conveniently located, it’s less than 10 minutes walk from the station and just a few minutes away from the town centre. The room was very comfortable and spacious. The staff was super friendly and welcoming, everyone we have met at reception was lovely and made the experience even better. We had a lovely breakfast there too, with a great selection of food and drinks at a very fair price.

Location was great, in between the train station and old town. Exceptionally clean! Staff very friendly, helpful and prompt. We got an upgrade to a bigger room which was awesome after coming out of a 4 day mountain hike, we had heaps of stuff to sort out and the extra space was actually really helpful. The breakfast for €16 was great value for money, bacon, eggs, white bread! ( love the traditional Austrian breakfast in the huts but was pleased to have something less rugged for a day), fruit, pastries, just heaps of food and unlimited espresso. Definitely get this, it’s a bargain!

The staff at Hotel Zach are incredible. It's a family business and you can really feel it. This was one of the best places we stayed on our travels due to the kindness and attentiveness of the whole team. Their smiles, service and attentiveness were so appreciated. The breakfast was also the best we'd had as well - lots of variety, so many healthy options and heartier ones as well, and delicious fresh coffee made to order! The building is so cosy as well and the room was very comfortable. We would definitely stay at Hotel Zach again.

Outside the hotel's control/not their fault - the construction outside our window made for a couple noisy mornings but it was easy to overlook.

Comfortable bed, great location, kitchenette was nice. Pretty spacious for a European hotel room, we were in the larger one with the balcony which had a great view

The AC didn’t work well, couldn’t get our room cooler than 23 degrees. The bathroom amenities were pretty spartan. No conditioner, lotion or soft towels. The shampoo is a shampoo / body wash combo. The downstairs lobby also smelled like sewage during the afternoon each day, not sure what that was about. It wasn’t like that all the time but it was persistent at certain times.

Great location within an easy walk of the city center and the train station. Friendly staff. Comfortable rooms. Wonderful breakfast selection with lots of options for special diets. Appreciated the willingness to keep our bags before checkin to allow us to take advantage of a beautiful day before a weekend full of rain!

Nothing. All was very good. A bit of warning (especially to anyone with mobility challenges) - the shower has a decent step up (~30 cm) - and getting in and out can be hard (everyone in the family slipped when getting out every shower).

Very central location. Modern, stylish rooms and interior. Good view out of the window, if you reserve top floor rooms. Excellent breakfast. Multiple parking options - public underground parking right in front of the hotel, very safe underground parking option 3 min walking distance (but must be reserved and confirmed separately). Also luggage drop zone in front of the hotel is appreciated.

There was a confusion with parking reservation. It is not enough to write that you want to reserve a space in the comments, you must also later confirm that you are ok with the price, because apparently some other guests are not happy with the pricing. But this was resolved for us in the end.
