What a fabulous place to stay! We checked in at around 4pm and were advised that the hotel offers complimentary coffee and cake to all guests in the bar between 3pm & 5pm - obviously we took advantage of this and were not disappointed! Our room was a nice size, had a Nespresso coffee machine, a bath and a breathtaking view. We had a truly comfortable and cosy stay which was finished off very nicely with a delicious breakfast in the restaurant downstairs!
Only quibble was the ongoing works outside our window but this is no fault of the hotels, just unlucky timing on our part as the council are building a sea wall!

We received a warm welcome by the hosts on arrival and a cup of tea with cake. We were given the top floor suite which had great views of the harbour to the front and the sea to the side. The hotel is in a beautiful old house with the original spiral staircase up to the rooms and the bar is in an adjoining old mill building- very homely and comfortable. All of the staff speak Welsh which is my first language so I felt at home immediately. We had an evening meal in the bar and the food was excellent, all served with a smile. The menu choice was quite small but interesting.
A common problem in many hotels as here was the shower controls which were directly below the fixed shower head. I had to suffer freezing cold water before adjusting for a suitable temperature. The huge bed was comfortable but very close to the wall on one side with a rafter sticking down from the ceiling. A narrower bed would have been fine. Not the hotel's fault but work was going on in the harbour so the view was affected somewhat.

Nothing to dislike about this place. Apartment was very clean, had all the facilities needed, and, as per usual, service from all staff goes above and beyond. The Harbourmaster bar itself is so laid back too, with wonderful food and service. And I have to add, it's nice to hear the Welsh language being so widely used here and in the locality. Love it, can't wait to return.
I was originally a little disappointed to find out that we weren't staying next to the Harbourmaster itself, as we were bringing friends who hadn't been before. But that disappointment was very short lived after entering the apartment and then seeing the view...

Booked overnight stay for daughter’s 21st birthday. Loved everything about our stay, food was excellent beautifully cooked and fresh. All the staff were amazing and nothing was too much trouble. There was a birthday card in her room from the hotel which we thought was a lovely touch. Little details make a big difference. Lovely clean rooms, comfy bed and loved the Molton Brown toiletries. The work being done on the harbour was well publicised and yes the views and access were affected but it did not spoil our break. There’s never a good time for essential maintenance. Thank you for a relaxing, enjoyable stay. Would love to visit again!

We liked the size of the room and more importantly the spectacular views of the harbour. The bed was very comfortable. The radio is a nice touch and so is the separate seating area. Staff were friendly. Liked that we could get cake and a cuppa free of charge from down stairs.
Just a couple of minor things. It would have been nice to have a small fridge in the room. There would have been room in the wardrobe, just so that water and milk can keep cold. One other thing is the flaked salt in the restaurant area as it's quite strong and comes out too thickly with the spoon provided. Would have been better to have a fine salt shaker or salt grinder so that it comes out more evenly and you don't over salt your food which I did. Other than these really minor things we really enjoyed, and have always wanted to stay here. Would recommend and would like to return. Thank you Harbourmaster for a lovely stay.

From the outside, to the inside, to the room to the restaurant everything was immaculately clean. Location ideal. Good parking (be early) was a bonus but plenty around the hotel. All staff welcoming. Single room at front of hotel, was quirky. Everything thought off from coffee pods and lovely biscuits to adequate toiletries. Radio/Tv/fan plenty of plugs! Bed and pillows I fell into. Took to the restaurant that evening and it was busy for a mid week. Seabass and Rissoto was lovely, the local Ale we t down well too! Breakfast was quality rather than quantity. Full Welsh set me up for the day.
The hotel had put the central heating on in the room, a lovely thought as it was windy and wet outside. However. I am a window open person. Unless I got it wrong windows would not slide open. Had to use fan in room during night as warm.

We were only able to get one night here as it was otherwise fully booked and understandably so. Great room overlooking the harbour and ate in the bar for an evening meal, which was very good, as was the breakfast. Lovely people from the welcome and throughout the service and even afterwards when we thought we had left something behind. We hadn't, but their service was exceptional. We will go back (if we can get in!)
The restaurant room / breakfast room doesn't quite have the same feeling to the rest of the place, so we chose to eat in the much more lively bar area for dinner. Nothing wrong with the food, it was the same.

Recently refurbished so it felt quite new and was clean and welcoming on arrival. We liked the flexibility of being able to self cater. Great view of the harbour - a shame about the huge but necessary engineering works.
Front door needs easing. Difficult to open and had to be slammed to close. Annoying as the occupant below us came and went. Sound transference from the occupant below the rear twin bedroom (which we used). Muffled conversation was an annoyance at night. An option to have the twin beds joined as a super king would have been useful. Wished we had brought our tv passwords with us so that we could have made use of the streaming services available.

Love the area, used to come here when a child. Hotel staff friendly and efficient. I had dinner in the restaurant, and it was lovely. I also had breakfast next morning which was excellent and set me up for the day! My room had a lovely view of the harbour and enjoyed watching the tide come in very relaxing.
There's a lot of work/improvements going on around the harbour area and this made it a little more difficult to park by the hotel (to off load bags etc) and it was a longer walk from one side to the other due to the bridge being fenced off. I did park overnight on the car park by the fire station a short walk from the hotel, and everything was fine the next morning. I understand that this will go on for a while but will be well worth the huge investment in the area. That said I will certainly come back for a visit.

Room was compact as expected, but was very clean, tidy and had more in it than expected - coffee pod machine, bottle of water, excellent toiletries, great shower, comfy bed with great bedding, nice view.
I’m sure I didn’t imagine it but was woken up at 5am by music playing. Wasn’t loud but loud enough to wake me up and keep me awake. Not sure where it was coming from but don’t think it was in the adjacent rooms. Couldn’t have been from a car outside so maybe from below but an odd time for music to be playing.
