Great location, walkable distance to all the main attractions in Guanajuato. Beautiful garden, wonderful kitchen facilities.

There might be the sound singing outside at night. But bearable.

Really clean and comfortable stay in Casa Lupita. The rooms are really big so even though there are no curtains it still feels pretty private. Great area or the city, everything is just a small walk. Very good clothes washing services available. Good kitchen and common area facilities. You can also buy eggs and bananas for 5 pesos each which is handy if you get hungry and want to cook. There is also an amazing taco stand a little bit outside in the evening which is open till late. And the most beautiful part is that the callejoneadas always pass by the hostel in the evening so it is great to sit outside on the terrace and get a bit of the show every night.

Maybe due to the low season but when I went it was very quiet so was not the most social hostel - however because of this it was very peaceful and calm

Close to all the actions for night and day. Fortunately host sent a direction in Español, otherwise one will never find the place, especially arriving at night as taxis do not drive to the address. Short walk from drop off. Host accommodated me and opened the place even though I arrived at close to midnight as I mentioned to them that planes from Mexico City arrive at Leon at 11 pm and it’s another 45 mins to Guanajuato.

Hot water may take a while, but this is Mexico, it’s ok.

I loved everything about this hostel. I stayed in the 4-bed dorm and it was really nice to not be in a bunkbed. The ensuite bathroom was also great. I went during low-season so the hostel wasn't very full but was still able to make friends with other solo travelers who were staying there. Really good location, less than 5 minutes away from the basilica. The hostel also has eggs, bananas, and apples available for a small fee for people who want to cook breakfast in the kitchen. I also spent a lot of time in the garden which has a good view of the callejonadas that go by each night.

Very atmospheric place, old villa in the middle of the town (even with a small garden) and you sleep just in one of the original old rooms. Good location, just a few steps from bus stop and a good base to explore the town. Big lockers in the room.

Small bathroom but this is the price of sleeping in an original house and not a new building designed to be a hostel.

Everything. The location is really good. Close to everything yet quiet and out of the hustle and bustle. This is my third stay and I wouldn’t choose anywhere else. Lupita and her team are responsive, friendly and helpful.

Nice and quiet tour with music stopped near but then not til too late as it was almost too quiet otherwise. Nice to have a real bed furniture safebox and padlick equipped kitchen free water coffee and tea selection with cereals eggs or a fruit is 5 mxn It was good to have a bathroom with locking door at back of room and it was all spotless plenty of toilet paper and hot water. Also 1 minute from centre and my all time favourite taco/burrito etc stall open until late, at plaza Baratillo ..such a lovely small square with a great rock classic bar right of street leading to homestay. If you want a quiet place with facilities this is it. Only down part staff were not really there as a hostel type environment but all the same polite and kind Thanks!!

If I ever come back to Guanajuato again, this is where I'll stay! Our private room was very well equipped, with great WiFi that never faltered, a big desk and two chairs, closet and clothes hangers, shelves, and enough floor space to comfortably put down a yoga mat. Hot water in the shower, though it took some time to come on. Check in was easy and friendly, and they stored our bags for us when we arrived early. The hostel is comfortable and quiet, and in a quiet street, but in the historic centre and so close to the main attractions of Guanajuato and great/cheap restaurants. For me it's a literally perfect location. The best thing was the kitchen, which is so well equipped (you could cook all three meals there, and the fridge is huge and so clean), there's even a blender. Purified drinking water (hot and cold) is available, and they go above and beyond and provide free tea and instant coffee, as well as cereal. You can also buy some fruits and eggs for 5pesos each. All in all I'm impressed with this place!

The only bad thing was that the bed was a bit small. There was also some noise outside of our window from students partying in the streets, but it didn't bother us and they left before it got very late.

Really beautiful property in very central location. 6 bed dorm room was spacious and clean. Enough blankets provided to keep you warm through the night. Shutters allowed it to be very dark. Eggs and bananas for 5 pesos in the kitchen very nuve touch. Free drinking water always hugely appreciated.

The shower was cold when I tried to use it. Coffee provided was a nice touch but it didn't taste very good sadly.

I like the accommodations, kitchen facilities, patio, and dining area. I liked everything I suppose.🙂

Every lovely patio deserves a bird feeder and a few lazy cats.🙂
