We loved the location, neighborhood was very good. Breakfast was great! (You can reserve a spot the day before for 15 euros for the breakfast otherwise you pay 18 euros on the same day.) Freshly made pancake was always delicious no matter who made it. Staff was very nice and friendly.
Towels did not smell fresh and also one of them has a very bad stain which I suspected to be blood. I don't know how that got away the check and ended up in our room but I put that one away without using it and wished that the other towels did not smell like they have not been washed for months. Also pillows were uncomfortable to sleep on. They were very hard and it was difficult to not wake up with neck pain.

The location was perfect, especially for the museum visit. The neighborhood was not as noisy or crowded as the central area, but still the shops and restaurants were within walking distance. It was better access to the station Amsterdam South, which is closer to the airport. The staff was friendly and responsive to my request. I found the shower door broken and informed one of the staff members. When I came back at the end of the day, it was already fixed. I was very happy with the coffee machine (illy) in the room.
Indeed, as some review mentioned, the heating was difficult to adjust on the first day, but eventually I figured out how to adjust. The cleaning service was ok. Once I had to ask the hotel staff to empty the garbage bin. I also noticed some hair left on the bathroom floor.

Location very close to the museums and Concertgebouw, as well as closeness to mass transit, including to the airport. Breakfast was very nice, including the great pancakes prepared for us in the spot. But breakfast was not included in the room price, although by Amsterdam standards, 16 euros is a pretty moderate price. Hotel has an elevator, although it is very small and not pleasant if you are claustrophobic. Nice to have two decent chairs to sit on, and there was a good number of electrical outlets for device charging.
Shower was a bit difficult to operate; some instructions one which handle to turn and which way to avoid getting cold water raining on you from the rainhead shower would be nice.

This hotel is a gem - a real find. It is just back from Museum Square, so many of the attractions are no more than a three to five minute walk away. Likewise the tram and busses to take you to everywhere else, including to and from the airport. We felt as if we had fallen on our feet. The rooms were clean and the housekeeping was to a very high standard. The breakfasts were excellent - really setting you up for the day ahead. The staff were particularly friendly and helpful. Highly recommended. We would definitely book again.
One niggle. The single room was cramped. At a similar price to the double, we felt this was rather unfair. That is why our rating dropped from a 10 to a 9.

From the warm welcome to the delicious breakfast and conversation over it (i was the only one and so the chef and i had a most enjoyable and interesting discussion) the staff couldn't be more helpful. Quite night's sleep in a fabulous location. Only downside i was only there one night but i shall be back! Lovely touches beyond expectation for this rated hotel and let me back in my room when i had forgotten something. Staff here deserve plenty of credit.
I love a tea and so having creamer rather than fresh/uht milk in room was my only complaint. I couldn't see/find instructions for coffee machine which may have reassured me what i was doing wasn't breaking it (i don't own one myself) but worked it out. I am sure not an issue for most people.

We loved everything about our stay and would recommend it to anyone. The price was incredible value for money and the rooms were so beautifully presented with everything we needed. Honestly can’t fault a single thing. Beds were comfortable, no noise, bathroom was clean & had plenty of supplies. Nespresso machine with mini stroopwaffels were a welcome treat. We were worried the location might be ‘a bit far out’ but it was perfect. Tram stop right at the end of the street with trams every few minutes to take us everywhere we needed - well worth going slightly outside of the city centre for.
Can’t fault a single thing about our stay!

I highly recommend this hotel! Clean and cosy rooms, I want to note the location, there is a stop of city transport nearby, which allows you to get anywhere) Separately I want to note the breakfasts and hotel staff, breakfasts were always delicious and warm, there were always berries and fruit, and from experience I can say that this is very good. The hotel staff is just above all praise, they were always very friendly, I left some personal things when I checked out, and when I wrote to the hotel about the forgotten things, the staff immediately sent me instructions on how they can send me these things!) And within two days I already received the parcel) Dear staff, thank you very much) I will definitely choose your hotel for my next trip to Amsterdam!

The hotel is on a one-way room and very quiet. My room was on the ground floor at the back and had a little terrace. The buffet breakfast was extensive, well-presented with fresh ingredients of high quality.
There were many choices of tea, but no straight-forward 'English breakfast tea' which was an omission in my opinion, especially as the breakfast is a chargeable extra. My single room was small, but there was an unnecessarily large wardrobe which wasted a lot of space, yet it wasn't large enough to store my cabin-sized suitcase. I used less than 20% of the wardrobe space for my 3 night stay. Although I had a terrace, there wasn't a chair - yet there were chairs at another terrace. A very small niggle was the bathroom set in a little box with sewing kit etc, each in a sealed paper wrapper. Couldn't tell what was what without opening everything. I felt this was wasteful. A pictogram of the contents would have avoided this.

(This review is mainly for the exec double we had for a week, before I moved to a single for a few days.) The members of staff we met were absolutely lovely. They went out of their way to be helpful and offer suggestions. The hotel itself is very nice, we had an executive double room for a week, and then I stayed on in a single room for a couple of extra days. The double is great; really spacious, airy, warm, with a great bathroom. Our visit was during a very cold spell in January, and if anything we had to keep the heat in the room turned down, it warmed up so fast. Unlike some hotels, heat and hot water are available 24/7. The single room I moved to was very small. It's advertised as such, but I wouldn't choose it for a longer stay. Still, it was comfortable. The beds in both rooms were comfortable, though I found the square shape of the pillows a bit too big for me. Breakfast was delicious, though we only had it in the hotel about three times. Other days we wandered and tried cafes in different parts of the city. The location is great - literally a one minute walk from the airport bus stop on Museum Square. There are also trams stops there to reach any part of the city. As a lot of others have mentioned, there is street noise during the day from children playing. I am a light sleeper, and often wear earplugs when I'm away, but slept through the night here without a problem. It is very quiet at night, You definitely hear the kids once they arrive for school, but I was awake by then anyway.
Not much to be improved on, to be honest. The stairs is steep, but that's the same all over the city, and there is a lift to compensate. I would have appreciated some milk in the room to go with the available tea and coffee (but to be fair, I'm sure that if I'd asked, it would have been provided).

This hotel is so lovely and cosy. It’s in a fantastic location, a stones throw from the Museums but quiet enough to get a good rest. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, Alexandra in particular was super kind and great, and gave me some helpful information about Amsterdam. It was raining on my trip and I was able to borrow an umbrella which I thought was a nice touch. I also was able to leave my bag here on my last day which was great! My room (which was a single room) was very comfortable and very clean. It even had a coffee machine and kettle which was handy. I didn’t have breakfast here but I was able to use the coffee machine to make hot drinks and relax here. I will definitely stay here again when I return to the lovely Amsterdam!
Nothing- I loved it all!
