Staff accommodated my request for a different room; initially I faced the road (Pine Street) and the back of the Intercontinental Hotel which is not a nice view. They then moved me to a room facing the TransAmerica Building (overlooking Powell Street) which may be the best view in the house. I very much appreciated the free bicycles (they have normal and e-bikes); the staff helping with the bikes were friendly and great. Coffee in the lobby is good & it's free; they also provide free water bottles.

They tried to charge me for some Nob Hill tourist tax. Booking was pretty clear, all fees & taxes were included in the rate I booked. Once I pointed it out, the extra tax was waved (I can't remember, but I think it would have been $40 per day, not exactly cheap).

We got room upgrade and had the best view ! Thank you

The $900 holding deposit that I was only informed at the arrival about . Don’t recall seeing it anywhere while making reservation on booking . Worth making sure it’s clear to people

Beautiful hotel. Wonderful views if you get a city view room. Beds and pillows were super comfy. It's in a clean, safe location. The hotel staff accommodated our check in needs swiftly and even kept our bags after check out so we could explore the city more. I enjoyed a nice glass of wine every night at the hotel bar. The bartenders and staff there were wonderful. I'll definitely be back!!❣️👌

Great location, friendly staff - Highly recommended! The hotel is a bit old fashioned (one of the grand old ones") - but very well been taken care of. Rooms are still very clean and cozy. The view is unbeatable, if you make sure you book "skyline view" (highly recommended!). Note: The constant noise you might hear are not caused by the air condition, but by the "CableCar"-cable

Free bottled water was refillable in the lobby. Room location in the inner courtyard on the top floor was great! Bed was comfortable. Black out shades helped us sleep better at night. Waiters and servers were very accommodating. The maid on our floor was very nice and helpful when we needed an extra bar of soap. I liked having the safe.

Bathroom wasn't as tidy when we arrived. Some of the tables at breakfast were not bussed so it took us a while to find a clean table to sit at. Our room only had one sitting chair. The room was big enough to have two. So the second person sat on the bed. The refrigerator in our room wasn't cold enough so our fudge melted.

Staff was helpful..... the entry and parking staff did not have uniforms, it was hard to know if they were hotel employees? Most nice hotels have the bell boys and parking staff in shirts/jackets that are the same color with the name of the hotel. Location is excellent Room was nice, and housekeeping came in the morning - YAY! Fresh towels! Made the bed!

The room had a clothes rack in the bedroom, not a closet. Unusual. A tiny table in the corner of the room, barely large enough for a laptop. The restaurant was very small and had a limited breakfast and snack menu.

location-it’s in the intersection of the 3 cable car lanes, near Chinatown and easy to get anywhere. Chromecast-enabled TV decently sized room with bathtub and walk-in closet. free coffee in the morning employees are friendly and helpful.

everything cost extra- 35$ per day urban fee was too much, especially since we stayed for a while. a fixed amount per stay would have been better. breakfast cost $5 per dish other than that, minor quality-of-stay improvements can be made: no room service. there are also no convenience store nearby so a vending machine in the building would have been nice. no microwave in our room, and as in far as I can tell, there wasn’t one in the lobby either. TV was not in a comfortable viewing angle from the bed. outlets were only on one side of the bed.

The hotel ar very clean, we had a suite, the view is impressive even from the second floor, we would have liked to have a higher floor but when I saw the view I was still satisfied. I recommend taking a large room. They are very comfortable, especially if you stay longer. Note that the hotel charges a 100 dollar deposit per night. Always have enough money with you. But all in all a great hotel, good bar good restaurant extremely good location in Nob Hill. I can warmly recommend it, it's really well located so you can go in all directions.

The air conditioning compressor was very noisy but we were able to have all the problems solved through the hotel's application. The bar and restaurant seemed understaffed, used dishes were not cleared for a long time, only one person took care of the restaurant and the service, but there were two people in the bar, this could definitely be improved, but the staff was always very friendly and helpful

Great room - very comfy. Team is very nice as well - though when I checked out they were less friendly... Breakfast was superb - BUT - you need to make sure you're getting the buffet and not the American breakfast.

American breakfast is included in the booking itself - yet it was not clear. No water bottle offered as part of the room - I think it's very basic and welcoming. Location is bad because it's SF - it's situated next to drugged people that are often half/fully naked. Not a place for kids.
