Excellent hotel in a great location. The staff were genuine and friendly. The breakfast/snack room on the second floor was a nice touch with good coffee, tea and pastries. Decent yoghurts, crisps, fruit and cereal bars. Always chilled water and refreshing sodas available. Our room was on the 7th floor. Unfortunately no view, but instead we had a conservatory with frosted glass, blinds and a/c which was a real bonus and a great additional space. The bed was comfortable and the linens were good quality. Some other reviews have mentioned the bathroom being small - I don’t know if we were lucky with our room or if we’re just accustomed to smaller facilities in the UK, but we found the bathroom to be beautiful. The daily maid service was discreet and exceptional. Don’t go to a soulless chain - enjoy some genuine service and hospitality at a hotel with real character, stay at Hotel Elysee.

The central location of this hotel was ideal for our visit. It was close to two metro stations and multiple bus routes that we frequented. The bedrooms were quiet, spacious, comfortable and clean. Access to the adjoining Monkey Bar downstairs was handy and the salon/lounge area on floor two with free drinks and nibbles was a nice touch. The staff were efficient and friendly.

The only two areas I would suggest for improvement were the breakfast and the WiFi. Breakfast would be significantly enhanced with the addition of bread/toast and perhaps one or two cold meats. The pastries were lovely but some additional less sugary options would have been nice. We found the WiFi to be slow and unreliable. I think there was a lot of traffic shaping going on as connection speeds would start off at a very healthy 100Mbps and then would often tail off to mere kilobytes per second. The internet access was heavily firewalled too -- only TCP ports 25, 80, 110, 443, 993 seemed to be allowed. As such, I wouldn't say that the WiFi was suitable for remote working, especially if you need to use a corporate VPN.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel and I must say, it was an amazing experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff made a lasting impression with their outstanding service. The porters were incredibly helpful, ensuring my luggage was promptly taken care of and providing a warm welcome. The reception staff were equally impressive, handling my check-in smoothly and answering all my queries with a smile. The housekeeping team deserves a special mention as well. My room was immaculate each day, with everything neatly arranged and spotless. Speaking of the rooms, they were nothing short of fantastic—spacious, well-appointed, and impeccably clean. It felt like a home away from home, providing the perfect space to relax after a day of sightseeing. The hotel's location is another major highlight. Situated in a prime spot, it offered easy access to all the major attractions and transportation hubs. Whether I was heading out for a day of exploring or looking for a nice restaurant nearby, everything was conveniently close. One of the standout features of my stay was the club room on the second floor. It was simply amazing! The ambiance was serene, offering a perfect retreat with a variety of amenities that made my stay even more enjoyable. It was the perfect place to unwind, enjoy a drink, and reflect on the day's activities. Overall, my experience at this hotel was exceptional. The staff, the rooms, the location, and the club room all contributed to a truly memorable stay. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable, convenient, and luxurious place to stay. I look forward to returning on my next visit!

The location was perfect for me on this trip. The staff was so nice and helpful. My room was quiet and spacious. I had requested a quiet room away from the elevator and utility closets and Elysee delivered! Greatly appreciated. The bed was super comfortable.

The room's furnishings are somewhat frayed and tired. This would not normally elicit a comment from me since the room was so comfortable and quiet. But prices were extraordinarily high in mid-December and the price did not match the quality of the room. The first night I was there, I could not get hot water in the shower.

The room (queen bed) was large with an actual two seater sofa, armchair, coffee table and desk fit comfortable at the foot of the bed AND large closet to hang clothes, put shoes etc! Decor was perhaps dated but charming and totally unlike standard hotel decor. The lounge area was great with ample seating, and snacks, water, coffee, tea, etc all day long and it was always cleaned up and fresh looking. Plenty of newspapers in the morning as well. Enjoyed listening to the languages spoken by guests (Italian, German) and everyone was relaxed and courteous. Staff were super friendly and helpful too!

My second stay. Easy access to subway and Central Park a few blocks north. Second floor lounge room with all day tea and snacks is a real bonus.

HVAC giant exhaust fans next door make some rooms quite loud. I moved up to 71 where the noise is evident but became white noise eventually for me and could sleep without earplugs: no horns or sirens heard overnight in NYC. Hard to believe but true. Lost my soaking tub in the move but worth it for greater quiet.

The staff was extremely personable and friendly. The breakfast was simple but adequate and the atmosphere was quite nice and relaxing. The hotel had an overall antique french boutique feel which I didn't mind for a solo business travel, but I probably would not stay with my kids.

Hotel room was standard NY size, bathroom was a little tight and no counter space for those who have a morning routine including using a blow dryer. Also, blow dryer diffuser did not fit on the blow dryer (wrong size). The attached restaurant looked nice, but could not accommodate 1 for a weeknight dinner.

The location and staff were excellent. Housekeeping went above and beyond. The bed was super comfy. We loved the comfortable lounge stocked with snacks, and the espresso maker was awesome!

The elevator door closed on us or someone else every.single.time. It closes WAY too fast to be safe and needs to be adjusted. The furnishings in the room were pretty worn.
