A charming boutique hotel with a relaxed atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and competent. We liked the ecological set up. Everything was clean and well organized. The food in the restaurant was tasty and of high quality. The beach is beautiful and well maintained. Swimming at high tide was pleasant and the sea is calm due to the reef further out. We mainly relaxed, but did also some exciting sailing with a traditional outrigger boat.

Nothing to dislike. Mattresses in Africa can be a bit firm for European tastes, but there are softer ones available upon request, which is welcome.

The garden room we had booked was small and tight in the entrance to the hotel. It wasn’t in a garden! We asked to move and had an upgrade for two nights and spent two nights in their duster hotel La Luna. Both were great but The Loop the best. The only problem with both hotels was the constant music playing in the bars restaurants and round the pool. Elton John singing Candle in the wind was a bit much for breakfast in Africa!

The view is awesome! There are several places in the hotel to relax and enjoy the journey. The rooms are very beautiful and the service is excellent! The staff were very nice and caring. We tried a lot of plates from the menu and all of them were delicious, big thanks to the chef 🙏. All the team was always welcoming us with the smile.

The whole place was exceptional! The staff, the food, the room, the location, and our experience at The Loop was 10/10. The staff, from the cleaning girls, bar staff, reception, massage ladies, and the maintenance crew were all amazing, friendly, and nothing was too much trouble. I am surprised this resort does not have a 5* rating! We cannot wait to visit again, and wish we could have stayed for longer. I would like to keep this place a secret as it was probably the best holiday we have had anywhere in the world, (and we have been all over!) but we enjoyed it so much we just have to say how great it was. Thanks to everyone from Joyce, Barnaba, Lucia, Olivia, Mona, and Makkame and everyone we have forgotten to mention, but we loved them all... I have not been paid to say these great things about The Loop....you just have to go and stay there to see that it's all 100% true! See you soon guys and girls! xxxx

I loved everything about the Loop! I had been to Zanzibar before but never to the Loop. I had some first timers with me this time around and saw the Loop as an ideal place to stay. It did NOT disappoint. Our stay was amazing! The resort and views were breathtaking and everything was so intentional. We truly enjoyed the service and amenities. The staff was amazing, especially Is'haaq. He checked us in and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was great. I could not imagine returning to Zanzibar and not staying at the Loop. Can't wait to come back!

Position right on the beach, fabulous views from our bed of the sea! Lovely staff, very happy and friendly, couldn’t do enough for you! They seem to have got everything right with the design of the rooms. Plenty of pegs to hang things on, lots of storage in the bathroom, ample electrical sockets, efficient air con, good shower, we loved having our own sunbeds. Amazing professional African show Saturday nights with delicious traditional bbq. Good breakfast. Lovely spacious pool area, with the rooms around the pool or facing the beach. Never crowded, so relaxing and many sunbeds around well spaced out. Quiet location with small choice of other restaurants but just a short taxi ride to Paje for a busier nightlife.

The bed was very hard, (which does seem common in Zanzibar) The drinks from the bar sometimes not cold enough.

We stayed here for 4 fabulous nights early October, after a couple of nights in Stonetown and a safari on Tanzania and Kenya! We were so glad we picked this resort due to it's location, size of the resort and value for money! Jambiani is an authentic village in Zanzibar, with seaweed farming, right outside the resort on the beach, so you can have a taste of the true culture. However this does not take away any comforts or luxury from the resort - all the rooms are situated around this amazing pool, which then had views of the beach. The staff were amazing, and the food was excellent! You also had alternative restaurants just short walks up the beach. Make sure you go for a sail and/or snorkel with "Mr Coconut" on a traditional dhow.

Wonderful Stay at The Loop Hotel in Zanzibar! We had the great pleasure of spending our vacation at The Loop Hotel, and we are absolutely thrilled! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed, and this sense of hospitality and kindness stayed with us throughout our entire stay. The team at The Loop is simply exceptional – incredibly friendly, attentive, and always eager to fulfill every wish. The service is outstanding, truly on a level we have rarely experienced. The rooms are a dream: very clean, stylish, and decorated with great attention to detail. You can tell that comfort and creating a special atmosphere were top priorities, making the stay truly unforgettable. We felt completely at ease from the first to the last day and were able to enjoy our vacation to the fullest. The Loop is a place where you feel right at home – only with the breathtaking charm of Zanzibar. We wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for the perfect combination of relaxation, excellent service, and warm hospitality. This an amazing resort. The staff put in a lot of effort and are very attentive. Cocktails were very good. Room was great, big bed and good air conditioning! Bathroom was nice and clean. Right on an awesome beach!

The design of the shower head could be improved. But that’s being very picky. Had a slight hiccup with renting a scooter through the hotel, thought we had paid for it as a part of our outstanding balance at checkout but didn’t realize it wasn’t in the total. I then had to figure out how to transfer money whilst traveling through Tanzania. Not a big deal, slight mis-understanding. But just something to know.

A beautiful resort, kind and fun staff, lovely ammenities and spacious rooms. The pool is a fantastic place to spend time and relax by. The breakfast is well done. I especially enjoyed the locally crafted additions to all areas including the recycled cement bag cushions, baskets etc the daily spray for mosquitos and turn down service was much appreciated as was the selection of pillows. The addition of a few universal power plug points was great. Drinks were delicious! This location was lovely and quiet but easy walking distance to some fantastic local restaurants which we recommend.

The shower design meant the water didn’t flow very well- it looked great but the result was not a strong shower, more of a trickle.
