Excellent breakfast included in price of room. We dined in the restaurant evening time and had the best battered Haddock I have ever tasted in my life and my wife said the steak she ordered tasted absolutely divine. This hotel has to be one of the cleanest and most comfortable establishments we have ever stayed in. Compliments to management and staff for maintaining such a high level of perfection.
The change in the weather! We stayed one night and the weather when we first arrived was absolutely magnificent. However, next day was heavy rain. Management have taken our complaint onboard and are investigating with the appropriate authorities to see what can be done to prevent it happening again.

Suite was excellent for room as there was a sitting room with a nice view. Good seating area by breakfast room/ restaurant. Easy parking. Food was excellent, breakfast choice excellent. Staff very helpful and professional. Trays by doors of.rooms for shoes a good idea.
Wifi in room was sporadic and slow at times, so work shifted to the upstairs seating area near the bar.maybe a pale carpet in an area surrounded by sheep and horses not the best choice! The trays helped but maybe a larger barrier matted area by doors?

The room was wonderfully presented and laid out for a family with a toddler - not a lot of small items around that could be broken or misused! The fold out bed was a great addition for our toddler to sleep in. The bathroom was well laid out and the addition of Bath House products was a luxury extra we didn’t expect. Great sized towels too, very soft and cosy! The bed was comfortable to sleep in. The breakfast was OUTSTANDING! Freshly made, very nice food and devoured by us all, filled us up for the day. The staff were polite and kind, considerate and a great representation of the owners, knowledgeable with local walks and advice!
There could be a mirror installed on the driveway or lighting to identify the low wall in darkness as there is a very sharp turn into the property as identified by the owners in messages. A bath mat for the bathroom would have helped with a toddler but not a necessity.

All-round great experience. What summed it up for me was “care”. Brett, the man who checked us in, made us feel welcome and cared for, engaging us in genuine conversation, giving us fresh milk for the room and even letting me try some of his home made biltong! The lady who served us at breakfast (didn’t catch her name) was similarly caring. The chef who cooked the breakfast - and makes the black pudding in house - offered me extra black pudding when I complemented him on it. From top to bottom this place seemed like it was run for the right reasons. Add to that a great location, cosy room and delicious ingredients, and you have a potent recipe.
They didn’t have Marmite 😀

We stayed in room number six, which was beautiful, it had just had a new carpet fitted on the previous day and so had the hallway and stairs. The property had stunning views from the sun terrace and conservatory. Overlooking fields with horses and sheep in. The evening meals we had on both nights where outstanding and Pete and the staff where very helpful and gave us lots of information.
Couldn’t find anything to dislike. The only thing I would have liked in room six, is a mini fridge which would have kept the little bottle of milk we were given for the tea and coffee cold.

Excellent hotel made very welcome upon arrival by Brett who along with Pete are simply the best when it comes to making your stay the best nothing is to much trouble for either of them 👌 what a massive asset they both are to Charlie and the team at Ravenstone. The breakfast is the best and sets you up for the day ahead. We only managed dinner just the once but it was exceptional. The hotel is very clean and comfortable with only 9 rooms is lovely and quiet just what we were looking for. Looking forward to returning again soon Colin and Sandra room 2

Staff was absolutely amazing, super helpful and nice. Location is 10 min drive from keswick. Quiet location Breakfast was good despite not many options. Room is beautiful and clean. The soups on the restaurante despite odd, they were very good!
Isolation is not great, you can listen people from other room talking even if on a normal tone Personally found bed not comfortable. I did not remember the price I agreed to pay on the booking website, so when we arrive there I was impressed on the price (5 nights 705 pounds). Find the lakes overall quite expensive

Very nice hotel, with tastefully decorated rooms. Set in beautiful countryside and pleasant grounds . The food was tremendous with an extensive choice at breakfast. The evening menu was very good and the food exceptional. The staff were all friendly and helpful. I even met the owner who was passionate about the hotel with plans to make it even better!I am happy to "rave" about Ravenstone Lodge and would recommend to anyone..

We had an exceptional time at the ravenstone Lodge country House. We were greeted by Brett, who did absolutely everything to make our stay amazing. All of the employees were lovely but Brett went above and beyond and was just so friendly and conscientious and funny that we just fell in love with him! Charlie, one of the owners, was also there quite often during our stay and he was very friendly with good humor, and treated his guests and his employees with genuine warmth. The room was comfortable and decorated with rustic charm, The bed was very comfortable. Our window overlooked an enormous pasture that at different times had sheep, cows and/or horses. We were encouraged to wander through the pastures and given directions to follow the foot paths all the way to a beautiful ancient church and Bassenthwaite Lake. The food in the restaurant was delicious as well!
The only thing we did not like, was leaving! We could have happily stayed there indefinitely!

This was our second stay since we enjoyed it so much last year. We loved the peaceful location, the welcoming staff, the intimate atmosphere, the wonderful breakfasts and dinners, and getting to know other guests. Once again it was mostly rainy but we had to select dates in conjunction with an annual family gathering closer to London. We enjoyed gathering in the lounge with drinks before going into dinner. In terms of outings, The Wordsworth Museum and Rydal Mount were very enjoyable, and we found a lovely wine bar in Keswick.
Nothing.
