The hotel building and location is amazing. Hotel has a good sized parking and also electro chargers for electric cars. Room are large and cosy. Breakfast is very nice in the main building historic room. The breakfast is very good quality. Rooms are very quiet and neat.

The corridors in the sleeping dorm are a bit old fasioned but then again that also has a charm. The rooms behind the doors are much better. I did hear at times the TV or talking of the next door room from both sides. Isolation of sound between rooms could be better.

A splurge but well worth it. the management pays great attention to detail in the rooms, the garden, the restaurants, the lobby and especially with the staff and service. An extraordinary stay for us.

A little difficult to navigate the car through town to get to the hotel. There are posts one must drive-through that are very narrow and looks like they are blocking the way, but a typical sedan can fit. They are meant to block trucks. In order to determine this we actually had to call the hotel while navigating the town in frustration. It should be in the material they send for registration or on their website. when we called them that meant we had to incur an international charge. The parking is rather limited as well, but they do everything possible to make accommodation for guests and figure out how to be helpful.

Exceptional location. Staff very friendly and professional. Room was very good. Perhaps a little dated but in keeping with the style of the building. Superb leisure/wellness complex - I stayed midweek and had the place to myself all afternoon! Restaurant and Bar were stunning.

Nothing particularly poor. Perhaps the dinner menu was a little limited given the price but the quality was exceptional. One slight gripe was that all evening diners were 'forced' to eat outside and, although the setting was beautiful and the service great, it was a tad on the chilly side when the sun went down and I would have preferred to eat inside. I'm sure that could have been accommodated if I'd asked but it would have been better to have been offered that option before being seated.

Breakfast was excellent. Staff were super attentive and very friendly. While the menu wasn't huge, everything was of a high quality and you could order a selection of freshly made items too. The room was spectacular.

The lighting situation in the room wasn't optimal. It didn't seem possible to only have a light on at my bed. It was either all lights on or non. Now I am willing to accept that there may have been a way to configure it to do that, but it wasn't obvious. By the time it really bothered me I was too tired to call reception and then I was leaving.

The location of the hotel was ideal. It was a short walk from the university where I was attending a conference. The hotel was beautiful inside and out. The double comfort room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfasts were delicious and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. The small gym looked fairly well equipped and the mini pool, jacuzzi and sauna were well maintained. I would definitely recommend.

Check-in took a bit longer than expected and there was a room change required for a colleague as her room was not ready on time. The church bells were quite noisy and continued through the night so light sleepers may benefit from earplugs.

The hotel was amazing, very beautiful rooms and garden. The breakfast was exceptional. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The family suite was an experience of its own :) The heated indoor pool, hot tub and sauna were inviting and relaxing. The staff was generous and we were allowed to check out late, at 13:00, with no extra cost. The whole experience was of very high quality.

Our keys to the rooms kept on stopping to work so we had to go back and forth to the reception (in a different building) several times in the one night we had there.

The hotel is beautiful and the rooms were immaculate. Staff was terrific and helpful in providing recommendations for places to see and dine in Utrecht. They even helped us charge the plug-in hybrid car we rented. Utrecht was an afterthought for us, but we were so glad we visited there. We had a full day and made the most of it - walking around the city, dining, and shopping. Some great bakeries restaurants. We drove there from Schipol and it was an easy drive. We liked that it was just outside of the city center - still only a couple hundred feet away. Close enough to be minutes away from main streets. We could stash the car and just tour on our won.

There wasn't anything I did not like.

location was great with parking that you have to pay for. breakfast was great except for not having fresh drinks. all facilities are great. size of room is great. available bicycle to rent on site. very quite and great for kids, family's and who is looking for peace.

king size bed was not available. so we had to deal with two single bed pushed together. expect some insects at rooms as this hotel has a large garden and almost in the forest and its next to a canal.

Normally I only give a review if everything goes wrong or everything is perfect. This is defiantly the second case. That was a perfect stay. The hotel itself was wonderful. A large building with a beautiful surrounding. A stunning garden (especially in autumn) and a large parking with 4 charging ports for the EV cars. Parking: parking in the center is really hard to find and not cheap, so I was very happy to find this hotel with a parking in the city. Parking is not free but still cheaper than when parking on the street. Restaurant is open for public so the parking might be busy in the evening Room: very large rooms, a lot of storage space and everything you really need. Room was very clean and quite. Style was modern but still respecting the classic design of the hotel. Restaurant/Bistro: they have a restaurant and a bistro. The bistro is the less expensive option. We only went to the bistro and really loved everything. Service was friendly, food was delicious. I really cant imagine what the restaurant could do better. Like mentioned the restaurant is open to public so you need to make a reservation Location: really perfect. You are in the city center, shopping street and touristic attraction are 5 minutes away. Despite the central location it is quite without any traffic noise. Staff: very friendly, always smiling and very helpful. We had a wonderful stay and we are for sure coming back

Superb location. From the rear of the hotel you are in the centre of Utrecht, from the front a 10-min walk to train station. The staff were very friendly and offered excellent service. The buffet breakfast was amazing. A truly 5 star hotel but with high prices.

The pool was too tiny (even for 1 person) with a jacuzzi beside it, gym was small too. Not a place to entertain kids or active adults. Also do note for families that the hotel only has single rollaway beds and not a proper single bed as per Booking.com description.
