The rooms were comfortable and clean. After a long overnight flight from the US, I was able to knockout and enjoy a wonderful sleep easily. The buffet style breakfast was killer and had a wide variety of food to choose from. The staff was also very friendly. The location is quiet and quaint, but a bit far from the airport (we took about three trains to get here for about 1.5 hours, avoiding a 50 euro cab fare). We chose this hotel as it was close to the US embassy (we had an interview there). The embassy is a short metro ride away. Also the metro itself is very close to this hotel, which is a huge plus!

As I said, it's a bit far from the airport and early check in was a bit expensive and felt a bit exploitative (40 euros!). As I was extremely exhausted and my partner wouldn't be arriving for 8 hours, I just paid it and it ended up being worth it for me.

I loved how spacious and well-organised the rooms were. The full-height windows give lots of light to the inside and are easy to cover if one needs that. The area of Dahlem, where the hotel is located, is also charming and green, placed in the vicinity of the Freie Universität Berling (but those who wish to commute to the city centre should know this is quite a distance from Dahlem to Mitte; the U-Bahn connection is very convenient though). I enjoyed the breakfasts, which offered a variety of food and slightly changed each day.

This is minor, but I felt unwell one evening and needed boiling water to prepare a warm tea. The receptionist was surprisingly unhelpful and informed me that there were no kettles for the guests and that she could not boil the water for me in the reception.

- I like the architecture - nice design throughout - delicious breakfast with a great variety - pleasant, leafy location with lots of amenities - restaurants/cafes/supermarket / bakery - close to public transport

- no kettle or teac/coffee-making facilities in room - very noisy - room overlooked external restaurant seating area in courtyard - not the best mattress and duvet cover too small for two people

The place is enveloped in a nice energy due to complex it is a part of, we do love it. The location is exceptional, quite and away from traffic yet with all facilities. The staff is professional and ready to help when ever needed.

The breakfast is really superb and the view over the espaliers is breathtaking. The one thing we didn't like at all, was the way the restaurant/cafeteria staff behaved. It was stressful, noisy and the gentleman employee told every one that they close at 10 AM he did så from about 09.20, 09:30 afterwards, the looked and pointed at his watch while walking around. we felt unwelcome. No doubt tha they rather have us out than in.

Room was regular, as we have chosen. Nothing special. One minus, the bathroom window. It would be a nice idea, if it could be able to stop the light from bathroom getting to the bedroom. If one wants to sleep and the other wants to use toilet it is unable to sleep with such amount of light. Everything else was ok. The breakfast was great, everything was tasty. The parking lot - a huge advantage, even if it has extra cost of 14 euros.

This hotel is located two blocks from an U-bahn stop and a grocery store and restaurants. It was very convenient. The room had a refrigerator and you could check out an electric kettle for your room and a coffee-tea station was always available in the lobby.

One of two elevators was not working for the duration of my stay.

The room had everything I needed. The bed was very comfortable. Climate of the room was perfect. Location was perfect given I was visiting to work on campus at the university. Breakfast was abundant and delicious.

The room was not as clean as I hoped. The floor had quite a few stray hairs and was a bit dusty. The check-in staff were not very personable or friendly. I didn't feel very welcomed. In my booking, it was communicated to me that I would be able to pay for lunch and dinner too, but the restaurant was unfortunately closed on my arrival.

The breakfasts are great.

The WiFi system is badly in need of updating. My phone kept losing the WiFi connection. E.g. if I went out and came back, it wasn't configured so my phone would reconnect and I had to re-enter the code manually. Worse: they change the code (password) every week. And if, like me, you happen to be checking out on the day after the code changes and forget to change the code the previous night then you are prevented from having WiFi on the morning of checkout day. (The system thinks you are ineligible even though you don't have to leave until 11am.

Because we registered 4 person, our coach was already turned to bed and the beddings were installed, we 4 person could straight go to sleep. Room was modern, organized and clean.

If you have so much space for the bathroom (and is really big) I would expect that bathroom could be split from toilet. Especially if you imagine there are expected to use 3-4 person same suit. Architect’s mistake to me

Great location close to the meeting venue (FUB) and U-bahn station. Breakfast was terrific, and the staff were very helpful. It is also very close to the wonderful Botanical Gardens, the Grunwald Forest and the Broch Museum - all well worth a visit.

Being a conference hotel, it was a little soulless. But clean and comfortable. I thought that 35 Euro to hire a bike for the day was quite expensive.
