This is a very good hotel in Zaragoza, centrally located in a beautiful historical building. The room (a double) was adequate in size, well equipped: minibar, electric kettle + coffee and tea bags, a nice assortment of glasses, large wardrobe, safe, very large TV. The furnishings, although showing a little bit of ageing, were classic which I liked. The lighting in room was very good, which is rare nowadays. There was a small balcony overlooking the towers of the cathedral, a very nice touch. My room was on the 4th floor, so I was not bothered by the early morning activities in the street below. You may like to ask for a room on a higher floor to avoid the street noise. The bed was large, but the bedding was not to my liking - too slippery, a touch too "plastic". The bathroom was large, with bathtub and bidet. There was a daily cleaning service but it can be of higher standards. Staff was polite and mostly helpful. The breakfast was superb for a 4* hotel, except the coffee from the coffee machines which was really very poor.
At breakfast the coffee from the coffee machines was really very poor, which was really surprising given the breakfast was very good for a 4* hotel.

The hotel is in an excellent location. A five minute walk to the main centre or the river, yet in a quiet location. The room was spacious enough and the bathroom was very spacious. The staff were very helpful and breakfast was fine. We had a dog with us and they had put a dog bed and food bowls in the room, which was a nice touch.
I had forgotten it did not have on site parking, and I had to ring for directions to the public carpark where the hotel had an arrangement for a discount. The receptionist was very helpful but it would have been useful to have more details of the carpark given to me on booking. The weather was very bad when we first arrived with a terrific wind and rain. We therefore did not want to go out to eat. Instead we had room service, and to be honest is was awful. A microwaved lasagne with no salad or vegetables. And a desert that was still frozen. Best to avoid!

Lovely hotel room (had the loft at the top floor) with ample room to enjoy. I wish I had some friends there to utilize the living room for a glass of wine. The bathroom has two sinks and there is a walk-in closet if you plan to hold a debutante ball and need the space. You will be very happy with the space. Zaragoza gets hot in the afternoon and also mostly shuts down. I suggest going back to the hotel and getting a drink in the hotel lobby bar (just ask the front desk if no one is there, they will be happy to assist).

The hotel is ideally located in the centre of the old town of Zaragoza. We were only there for one night and we had booked an attic room - which was huge! As we were there for only the night it was ideal - very comfortable and spacious. However, I think for more than a couple of nights I would miss having a view. (There are windows in the roof that open and so you get light and air (and if you stand on a chair, a view - see photo!). In some other reviews, I have seen niggles about it looking a bit tired and things need repairing in the room - I have to say for what we paid, we thought it was absolutely fine and quite luxurious actually. Breakfast is served as a buffet and it was good - there was a reasonable choice of hot/cold food of varying types, so again we were happy with that. As there are roadworks being done outside the hotel (redoing the old street), we pre-booked our parking at the Indigo El Pilar car park - it was easy via the app and only a short walk away. If you do it on the app, it’s about the same price as you get through the hotel but at least it’s reserved. All-in-all a very nice stay and we loved Zaragoza. (The only reason it didn’t get a 10 was the rather unwelcoming staff on reception when we arrived - however the next morning there was someone else, who was much more friendly!)
Nothing - just be aware there are roadworks going on which may be a bit noisy - although we weren’t affected as we were in an attic room.

Great location, right by the Pilar, easy parking and loading. Breakfast was excellent. I was in the Air Force in the 80s and we frequently came to Zaragoza for weapons training. We stayed out on the base nearby but would frequent the town when off. It has changed significantly in 40 years but was a blast to visit again. Highly recommended, its not even on the Rick Steve's list. Speaking of which, another hidden gem on the road from Madrid to Zaragoza is the Monasterio de Piedra, STOP there, its awesome!

Nice hotel in a good central location very close to everything. A couple of minutes walk to all of the tapas bars in El Tubo and to the Cathedral / main square. Clean rooms, really comfortable big beds, good sound proofing. Our room on the 4th Floor had double doors with a Juliette balcony with views of the church. Lovely.
There was some hard landscaping work going on in the square in front of the hotel. However this didn’t disturb us at all during our stay.

The hotel building is gorgeous, like the entire architecture of the city. Excellent location. The room is nicely decorated and well-kept
Unfortunately, in the area of the hotel there is a construction site, for redevelopment of the street. I believe that a warning about this inconvenience was useful. Another problem is that of the sewage system, which is why the bathroom smells very bad.

Super-quiet hotel in excellent location. I am very noise sensitive. The hotel had superb sound proofing, i.e. TWO sets of windows/patio doors so I could not hear any of the church bells or the noise from the busy shopping street outside my window. Internally, there was also a door between the bathroom and the room, creating a mini hallway between the main door and the bedroom. This meant I could not hear the closing of other hotel room doors or guests talking. Three nights of perfect sleep! Location-wise, this could not be better. Only 5 minutes' walk to the basilica, cathedral, Goya museum, central market, and various shopping areas. The origami museum was a 17 minute walk and the Aljaferia palace was a 20 minute walk. I don't walk fast so if you do, or have long legs, the times are even shorter!
Nothing.

The “Executive “ room was recently upgraded, and was very nice, with plenty of room for our suitcases. The bathroom was excellent. The bed was super- comfy and the internet connection was fast enough for us to stream videos!
The city is re-paving roads in the old town area, so it was a bit loud. Getting to the unloading spot was a bit convoluted, however, the hotel was really great about re-directing us to get there and to the parking facilities which were close-by.

location and value and staff.
10/12 is a huge holiday for Zaragoza. We enjoyed it very much. Now we had an issue on 10/13 leaving the hotel. I parked my car at indigo parking under plaza del Pilar, less than 2 blocks away, taking advantage of the hotel special rate. The staff did not tell us that we were not able to drive back to the hotel to pick my luggage. A huge mistake. It was a real night mare to get back. Had to find another parking far away from the hotel and walk to pick luggage and back to the car. I said staff was excellent and they were except they make a mistake not telling me that there will be no way to drive to the hotel that day.
