My partner and I had a very happy and affordable one-night stay a few weeks back . From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome, with Maria in particular going above and beyond (Thanks!). The room itself was modern and clean, with a very comfy bed. We found everything we needed right at our fingertips, and there were no complaints whatsoever. Additionally, we were thoroughly impressed by the bar area, which offered a fantastic atmosphere and a great selection of drinks. It provided the perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploring. One unique aspect we appreciated was the option to rent umbrellas, which came in handy during our visit. Overall, we were thoroughly impressed with our experience here. The combination of friendly staff, modern amenities, and affordability made for a perfect stay. We wouldn't hesitate to book again in the future. Highly recommended!

The hotel was really easy to find, clean and modern. Really simple to check in and out without any assistance. And I liked the hotel offered free cancellation up to a few days before your stay.

We had a room on floor 0 but we struggled to see any signs telling us how to get to floor 0. The first lift we went in didnot even have a button for floor 0, this concussed us more. One particular male bar staff seemed to have an attitude with his staff and wasn’t too friendly when serving customers. As we were already disappointed with the cancellation of Hogmanay, we decided not to let this member of staff ruin the rest of our night, so we went elsewhere! Following the cancellation of the Hogmanay event, this made the experience feel like an overly expensive stay for just 1 night. I feel the hotel staff missed an opportunity to step up and make us feel happier about our stay at this hotel.

Good location, easy check in and great bar. Bed was good how could incline it etc and mood lights around the TV

Rooms quite basic and not good value for money. Would be better if had tea & coffee provided in rooms.

Hotel amazing very modern rooms, self check in super easy first time done it think it is a great idea, very straight forward. Breakfast was very tasty.. Would highly recommend this hotel.

So it would be nice if hotel would give some warnings to people that are thinking about driving to the hotel. My fault for not doing research. But prior to booking it would be great to know that hotel is located very central, parking is limited if any and if there would some alternative options given, where to park with some prices etc and LEZ zones as well. I think ppl would appreciate this information so they can prepare better.

The beds were very comfy!!! I have a picky back and it had no problem on this mattress. The staff at the front desk were very helpful when we had any questions/needed any assistance, and they also provided a list of places to eat nearby in case you needed help figuring out where to get food. The location itself is pretty good for navigating your way to Old Town while not missing out on some nice tidbits of New Town. The coffee and tea downstairs were great. When we used the breakfast service it was pretty good and I enjoyed it. The lounge was nice to sit and relax in as well.

These are just small nitpicks at the end of the day-overall this was a good place to stay and I'd recommend it if the standard chains are out of your price range: The fact that the wifi isn't secured with a password is a little concerning, but Scotland may not have the security threats I'm used to in the US. When room service came in there were a few times when we had dirty sheets but they simply made the bed and didn't change the sheets out. Also, while I completely understand that this is in place to conserve energy, it was a bit irritating that if you didn't move after some time, the lights shut themselves off, and would only turn on again if you moved.

Great location and access into the city centre. About a 10-15 minute walk to main attractions such as the Edinburgh Christmas Markets and Princes street. The room was large and comfortable for three guests. The bathroom was large and there was lots of space to store luggage.

The entry to the hotel was really dirty especially the stairs leading up to the entry. It wasn’t a great first impression when arriving. Lots of cigarettes and rubbish on the floor. The hallways outside of the rooms could also do with more regular vacuuming. The staff didn’t interact with us at all. I understand check in is done online but it is always nice to be greeted by front staff when checking in for a long stay.

Really quick check in/check out with self service. Bar was lovely, great selection of teas/coffees at bar (No kettle in room, but this wasn’t a huge deal) Lighting was great in the room, room has everything you need. The bed was so comfortable, loved that you could put it up or down like a sofa bed. Handy having a safe and fridge in the room, air con worked great. The black out blinds were possibly my favourite addition for such a great sleep while I was there.

It was a little bit inconvenient having to go down for tea/coffee later in the evening if you were wanting to settle in for the night, but overall not that huge of a deal.

The hotel is good and well located if you're planning to stay in the centre. The rooms are large and comfortable, the shower is excellent. However, if you are driving, be prepared for a 5-minute drive and a 20-minute walk back to the hotel. Apart from that, it does not disappoint.

1. Cleanliness: The hotel was spotless, and the rooms were well-maintained throughout my stay. 2. Sustainability Efforts: I appreciated the hotel’s commitment to sustainability—an admirable initiative! 3. Complimentary Coffee and Tea: The free coffee and tea available all day were a thoughtful touch and much appreciated. 4. Location: The hotel is about an 18-minute walk from the train station. However, the path is uneven with brick pavements, which could be challenging if you have heavy luggage. I’d recommend taking a taxi for convenience.

Heating Issue: The heater wasn’t working initially, but the receptionist quickly reset it. While it functioned afterward, the room wasn’t as warm as some might prefer, especially for those sensitive to cold nights.

I cannot rave enough about this place. The room size and amenities were perfect for a single traveler. A lot of consideration went into the design of the hotel and rooms; more so than other hotels I recently stayed in. From the self-check in to the USB outlets built into the wall, the adjustable bed and the high luggage stand, I have officially become a Yotel regular. Did I mention the incredible smelling products from Urban Jungle. The location was also incredibly convenient and within walking distance of so much. Only a 13 minute walk to Dean Village and a 7 minute walk to Princess Street Gardens.

The walls were incredibly thin and I could hear everything and anything from both sides of my room. After several hours into the night of hearing loud music banging through the wall, I had to call the front desk to complain about the noise. Wouldn't have been a huge deal if I wasn't heading out and hitting the road at 5 am the following morning. As I was checking out, I also overheard a lady complaining to the receptionist that all night she heard a couple arguing from a room across the hall from hers.
