Perfect location, very friendly staff, access to cold water machine which saved some money on buying water and was very much appreciated in the hot weather! Good room temperature. I was a little worried after reading other reviews but I've stayed in small hotels before (z, hub) so I knew what I was expecting. I have no regrets about booking and got exactly what was expected. I am glad a opted for a room with a window.
It was a little pricier than usual but that is due to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and was still better cost than other similar hotels.

We loved the location, and the view of the castle from the bedroom window was amazing. The rooms are small but we actually really liked that novelty of it, we found it very fun. We asked for the late check out and were very happy with the price and the extra time, as we only expected an hour or so but was told it was an additional 3 hrs, which really helped. We also found keeping our luggage there was very cheap.
The only downside is the stairs. We were located on the top floor and it was gruelling on the legs and carrying the case up the stairs. Could have used a lift if possible.

The location couldn't have been better for this trip. I was meeting a group staying at a pricey hotel 2 blocks away. Being right on Princes Street is ideal. Walking out the front door to a castle view (even if your room doesn't have one) is a dream. I know a lot of reviews complained about how small the rooms are, but I think it's unfair to complain about something that is clearly disclosed in advance when you book. Yes, the rooms are tiny. There's a bed and barely enough room to walk around it. The property provided a hanger and hooks by the door and a small shelf under a mirror that was helpful, and there is good storage for a large suitcase under the bed. I ended up using the windowsill (which ran along the entire long wall of the room) to hold items I wanted access to. It was cramped and would probably not work well for 2 people, but you're not going to get luxury at this price in this location. And again, there were no surprises. The staff were consistently friendly and cheerful. There's no in-room coffee, but there is a coffee/tea/chocolate machine in reception. The noise of the trams going by could be heard in the room, but it wasn't very loud and they seemed to shut down around 10 p.m. There is no lift and rooms start on the first floor (that's second floor to Americans) so you need to plan on carrying luggage up at least one flight of stairs, maybe more. Again, not a surprise and standard for an old building like this, just something to plan around.

I was very happy with my stay at EasyHotel, I went to Edinburgh to go on vacation and explore the city and I think the hotel and room suited me well for my trip. The hotel was in a very good location in the city (it was really easy to get there with the bus from the airport) and it was at a great price and I didn’t really mind the size of the room. I thought the room was quite clean and room service was good and the staff were really kind and happily helped me with any inquiries I had! I also got three towels that I could use and that were changed by room service and they offered to lend me a hairdryer and other utilities that I might have needed.
The wifi was free but it was very slow and most websites didn’t even load, thankfully I bought a simcard with data on it to use outside which also worked in the hotel but without that I would have had a really bad time because I couldn’t check bookings, bank account, messages etc with the slow wifi. It was quite cold in the room but the staff were very nice and turned up the heating for me!

The place was clean and for basic needs it delivered. Location couldn't be faulted super central and small walk from everything. Staff was friendly and couldn't fault. Was nice and welcoming.
The room was very small. It was a double bed room with a bathroom/shower, no window. To have a bigger room I'd say get a window or maybe a twin. It was fine for a night but more than that you'd get claustrophobic and stir crazy with no room. For a budget hotel it's good, clean and central. Walls are quite thin too as we heard neighbours TV at night and in morning.

I had a great stay at Easyhotel Edinburgh. A lot of the complaints seem to be around the size of the room without taking into account the fact that location is a prime factor in pricing. Be warned, the room is small however if you are a solo traveller simply looking for a base/place to sleep then it's perfect :) excellent location, very friendly and accommodating staff & although the room and shower are compact, it's all very clean!

You can’t beat the location! Right in the heart of downtown Edinburgh! easyHotel is near all the sites and an easy walk! The rooms are cozy, don’t plan on doing much in your room besides sleeping. I enjoyed the cozy feeling. Another thing I can say is they were clean- the bathroom had a very clean smell- I was impressed.
The only thing that was a challenge- and it was clearly communicated was no lift if you have a larger bag, however they can accommodate you on a lower floor.

I Was not fazed by some reviews i had read as we were only there for 1 night and we were not spending time in the room other than to sleep It is perfect for a 1 night as room is small but amazingly clean and fresh smelling Comfortable bed easy check in perfect location great view we had castke and fountain view
The fact that had to ask for heating to be on or off as it controlled in reception But saying that was not really an issue as there was a portable radiator in the room that we used when we came back after night out

It was central to the city check in was easy, the staff were friendly and very efficient took time to give me a map of the city and the easiest way to get to the castle as I was going to a concert that evening. The lady was excellent. My room was small but well equipped a pod like bathroom towels hairdryer. The view of the castle was amazing from my room. The bed was very comfortable I was very happy. Will definitely be back for a longer stay.
The property was excellent.

The day and night staff were brilliant really helpful, polite and looked after us. The rooms are not the biggest but that was fine with me, there is free water machine in the reception area. Also in reception area a coffee tea etc machine which is £1 a time. There is a good selection in the coffee machine. The hotel in a fantastic location and you can keep your luggage there for a small fee. Excellent hotel and staff amasing
There was nothing i didnt like great hotel
