I recently stayed at Lotus Desaru Beach Resort & Spa with my family and we had a great time! 1) Book three 2 bedroom and One Single bedroom. a)Single bedroom in the first floor Need refurbished. Wadrobe n Cabinet a bit old. And as its in level 1, there’s alot of ants. b)The 2 bedroom we had in 3rd level B block are not bad. Great if some refurbished Be done but overall its a Great place with room for improvement. The rooms could use an uplift and fresh modern look, but they were still good enough for the price we paid. 2) The resort has a fantastic water park that was super fun for the kids considering its complementary.The lazy river was the highlight of our trip but it’s slippery on some sections and need staff to coordinate the timing of each person as not only me, even my family members n some others waterpark users was hit by next person sliding down the lazy river. 3) The seafood restaurant by the beach was also a standout. More on the expensive side considering there are quite a number of seafood restaurants around the area but the service are fast and the restaurant staff are superb. Overall, we had an awesome family vacation at The Lotus Desaru Beach Resort & Spa and would definitely recommend it to others!

The Indian food at the resort was great. The rooms were spacious and I managed to get an upgrade to a 2 room suite the next day (be mindful of the cost, eg weekend vs weekday). The sea sport activities are affordable and there is a greater variety here as compared to the other resorts. The outdoor area was used to entertain children. But do not expect 5 star facilities here in the room, as it can be a bit jaded with old furniture and rustic bathrooms, but that is why this resort is among the cheaper ones at Desaru. This was not much of a problem for us as we only came back to the rooms to sleep and rest. It is a 5-7min drive to the fruit farm where you can consume fruits, juices ad coconut drink at the eatery outside the farm. KFC and other eateries are just a 5 minute drive away.

It is not fair to expect 5 star facilities for the low price we pay, read in the comments about poor breakfast variety ad taste, but that is being too picky. I found it decent. In any case, food outlets are a short drive away, as are the restaurants in the neighbouring resorts. Because of the sea activities and cheaper rooms, expect a huge crowd over the weekends.

The hotel is clean, although the furniture is a bit old, it is still worth the stay. The property features a water park, which is a great addition. It’s very clean and suitable for families with children, as the pool is not very deep and the water slides are not too high, making it safe. Breakfast is also good. Overall, a nice place for a family getaway!

However, during the night, when there are fewer guests, the atmosphere becomes a bit quiet and eerie. It might just be my personal feeling, but perhaps the hotel could consider playing some background music in the hallways to make it feel less silent.

Beach was amazing, white sands and blue water. Breakfast was good too, just take note its not continental breakfast. Purely local delights. Roti Canai with curry and teh tarik really hit the spot, nasi lemak was nice too. Tons of facilities for families and team building purposes. When you first enter the area, it might feel overwhelming just to find the lobby but you will get your bearings really quick. For couples, I would recommend getting Block A upon checking as it is one of the blocks that is closest to the lobby and eating spots. They have 4 choices of restaurants and a beach bar. Staff were helpful and friendly. Room is amazingly huge, more or less a duplex.

I would say just refurbish the room and this place would really take off. It has so much potential to be a really amazing place. The room is clean but lacks hand towels and floor mats, it may not sound important but constantly walking around the room without it can be messy. The restaurants closes at 10 or maybe earlier and I think that can be extended to a later time. The entire area should probably have more information placed around so guests can have a better understanding on operations. Depending on your block, parking can be scarce.

hi I booked for 4D3N excellent place the food and etc. The Staff over super customer svc even before I go I did asked alot of questions they didn't ignore me they answered all my doubts. I stayed Block E E403 ROOM OF 02 BEDROOMS Very clean. U don't need to be worried about going round the area coz they got buggy car will pickup u and send the destination u want to go. The staff over there truly awesome I truly Impressed by their service. Kids will sure enjoy. u can use ur POSB atm card there not drawing cash but u can scan to pay. The receptionist can change ur currency its 3.10 rate. truly I give 10/10 for this place its good for school or excursion organizations.Thumbs-up for the Whole LOTUS DESARU STAFF

We booked 5 top floor single room, received free upgrade from the hotel to 4 bedrooms apartment & 1 single room, next to each other. Super good. Everything was good, breakfast was decent & 'basic' I'd say, it was a peak time so had to wait bit longer for buggy, resortwas quite big, beach was okay, pool was a bit strict as you are not allowed to wear jersey/shirt, only swim attires. For the splash park, they were not that strict, can wear jersey/shirt. Overall, was a nice stay. Thanks Lotus team.

Maybe the broken fans in the breakfast hall need to be fixed. Provide or activate more buggy during peak time to avoid longer time waiting especially for warga emas & those with kids.

beach is far from room and its not as expected...still under renovation...stay at tunamaya before and view direcly to the beach...the waterpark is ok...kids happy with it

A standout feature of my stay was the exemplary service provided by the staff, especially the receptionist, Mr. Karthiswaran. His dedication to guest comfort was evident as he went above and beyond to make our stay effortless. Given that we were traveling with a toddler under a year old, he ensured we were accommodated in a ground-level room near the lobby and waterpark. This thoughtful gesture enhanced our convenience tremendously. Breakfast at the resort was another highlight. The spread offered a decent variety, and every dish was prepared to perfection, consistently delivering on taste. It was clear that the culinary team prioritized both quality and flavor, making each meal delightful. Overall, this resort exemplifies excellence in hospitality, providing a vibrant yet family-friendly atmosphere, outstanding service, and well-appointed accommodations. - Good checkin experience. We were provided with buggy transport to our block. - The resort is really big, great for large groups or even for company events and for families looking for a weekend break. - Swimming pool is huge and clean. They even keep a track of the pH levels regularly. - Spacious rooms, brightly lit with balconies. - Clean linens and the housekeeping did an excellent job. - Kitchen area was convenient for heating food and washing dishes. - Retail shop and 3 different restaurants, serving Indian, Korean and seafood within the premises. There are also 2 coffee shops. - Breakfast is extensive with a lot of local and Western options. However, the taste was only average. - Good walkability around the resort (mostly shaded), making it easy for us to push around our baby in a stroller. - Good shower pressure.

- AC is positioned right in front of the bed, and wasn't easy to manage the settings (ancient remotes, and it got quite uncomfortable). - Bedding is quite soft, bad for the back. - A weird stench around the resort ever morning (probably due to the clearing of garbage). - The glass in the balconies and windows are not sound proof and there are trucks that ply next to the resort through the night. - WiFi is poor, keeps getting disconnected and not good enough for calls. I had to use my hotspot to get some work done. - Room service menu is quite limited.

The breakfast had a lot of options and plenty of sausages for my two little ones ! The resort has a lot of things to do for little ones and is well located.

The beds are quite high and hard, causing backpain. I booked a two rooms suite so my little ones could sleep in one room and us in the other but it was way too high for them to sleep alone as they could have fallen and get injured. Also I m unsure why the management fell it was appropriate to put 2 extra hard mattresses on top of one another for each individual bed. Poor choice of an investment if you'd ask me.
