This expensive, 3* hotel is located in a very-very good place, near to Sol metro/suburban train station (arrival from the airport) and close to the most famous sights of Madrid on foot, or using the public transport. The room is simple, but you find everything needed for a comfortable stay. The breakfast is rich, quality of the foods and drinks is perfect. We had a balcoon in our room at the top level, I recommend to everyone to book this kind of room!

Madrid is very noisy, and it seems that the most preferred hours of "harvesting" the used glasses and the garbages are around 3 AM... The staff of reception was sullen anytime, certainly they had a lot of to do...

The location is excellent in terms of being very central and convenient - this was the reason we chose it. The room is a standard European hotel room, recently renovated and everything functioned perfectly. The bed was very comfortable. The desk staff is very friendly and always willing to answer questions. The housekeeping staff also kindly provided a softer pillow upon request.

As wonderful as the location is, it is also a major problem: the street is packed with eateries and people who make a lot of noise until the wee hours. The windows in the room are relatively new and cut down the noise significantly, but they can't keep out the sound of people screaming at 3:00 AM or a garbage truck dumping glass at 5:00 AM. Breakfast was abundant but did not offer a great variety.

Lovely marble floored hotel which was spotlessly clean. The room was comfortable and breakfast was served on the lower ground floor. It was very near the main shopping street which was brilliant and also the metro.

Breakfast although okay was very basic. There was not much choice of cereals or extras like walnuts or raisons. Juices were watery. Nothing really special. The men on reception were obliging but not very friendly and smiley. You felt like you were disturbing them. I noticed there were no women on the reception desk. They did not have much banter and no interest whatsoever in visitors. Not very friendly.

Location fabulous, 100m South of Grand Via - so very central. Simple hotel (3 star only), but had all the facilities we needed for a short city break, and we could walk everywhere. Rooms simple but all we needed - a safe, clean bathroom, good water pressure, aircon that works.

We arrived by car, so getting to the hotel was difficult, but GPS finally made it! Fortunately there is a 24hr parking very close, with hotel discount (Euro78 for 3 nights). Only main problem - in the single room, the layout of the WC and the heated towel radiator was poor, difficult to sit down with the radiator imposing on my right arm. But otherwise bathroom good.

We enjoyed our stay here very much. The location was ideal, very close to the "action" but without all the foot traffic going past our window. Our room was clean and well furnished. Staff was very helpful when we needed assistance. The attached restaurant was a fun place, with good food. And breakfast was plentiful. We would easily stay here again.

The dining (or was it lunch?) menu of the attached restaurant was confusing, so we missed out on what we thought was a special of the day. The special had expired earlier in the day, but the menu didn't show the hours of service for the special.

Perfect location. Right In the center, close to everything you need by walking distance: Shops, restaurants, parks... The room was small and a bit outdated but enough to what I needed. Very very quiet at night despite the central location. slept till late and couldn't hear any noise.

Was nice to have a bottle of water in the room like in every other hotel I'm used to. The cleaning lady accidentally threw a small nylon bag with a tube of medicine lotion I had in the shower. Need to be more careful when tiding the room. The bed was not so comfortable but since I was so tired at the end of each day it was good enough.

The location is unbeatable! From the hotel most of Madrid's must-see places are at walking distance. The room we got was amazing: spacious, incredibly clean and the bed was bigger than the standards, as they knew that our daughter would sleep with us. We will recommend this hotel, and we'll come back!

Breakfast is the only aspect that could be improved: you can have either a sweet or savory breakfast, but the quality of products was not the best, as well as the coffee machine. But it is really a tiny detail, as we enjoyed it everyday and all the other - more important - aspects absolutely met our needs.

A nice old style hotel in a good location for visiting the central sites. Our room was reasonably spacious, beds were comfy and linen was good.. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast nice enough., though nothing special. There very nice little Cafe on the corner, with door into the lobby. We enjoyed our single night stay.

Our room was a bit dark and airless, looking out onto a lightwell but windows only opened a few cms. Decor a little bleak.. Okay for one night but I would ask for a better room if staying longer. A bit pricey for what we got.k

We arrived from our flight at 1 a.m. The night receptionist was the friendliest I've met for a long time. Spotlessly clean room and pristine bathroom. Both a very good size. Fridge and a safe in the room. Reception staff who checked us out were very friendly too. Breakfast was OK - good selection of fresh fruit. Decent coffee. For the location, this hotel is very good value. Best to get an internally facing room as the street outside can be noisy at all hours. We would return, but only if guaranteed an internal room. (I speak from direct experience. I recently had a room in nearby Hotel Liabeny facing Calle de la Abada. People shouting all night. Had to change rooms in the middle of the night to get some sleep.)

We paid €153 for B&B. Maybe charge €160 and upgrade the breakfast?

The room was a good size. The pushed together twin beds were comfortable (though we asked for a double). The bathroom was a good size. Everywhere was clean. It had a (tiny) fridge. There was a safe in the room. The breakfast was just continental, but good enough. The location was very central and there was cafe/bar attached to the hotel. The staff were all nice. There was a lift.

The wardrobe was small with awkward doors and only 5 coat hangers. The room was uncomfortably hot until I worked how to switch off the heating, though there didn't seem to be a way to control it, despite the wall switches. There was no view (bar a fire escape!). The TV had no English channels, though you could select "original" English for some programes and films.
