The location of this hotel is excellent. You’re right on top of many restaurants, a new food court (the Hugh) and multiple subway stations with excellent links. The hotel is easy to reach from JFK using the air train ($8.50pp) and changing at Jamaica subway station to arrive directly outside your hotel ($2.90pp, per ride). The hotel was clean and staff exceptionally friendly and helpful.

The decor is a little dated. There is large no central foyer so don’t get ideas of grandiose hallways! The bar wasn’t open when we stayed.

When we first arrived the room allocated wasn't as expected, we had travelled all day from UK and just wanted to rest. The heating in the room wasn't working correctly nor the phone and despite requests for extra blankets these were not received. I woke up and my son was using his coat as a blanket as was so cold! HOWEVER, I did speak to Mimi on reception who changed our rooms for us, the new room was much better and the heating worked! Big shout out to Mimi she is a credit to Marriott and their great customer service.

The lifts kept breaking, one day only the service lift worked meaning it took a long time to get back to room as you can imagine the hotel was packed over Christmas. We stayed from Sunday to Friday and each days lifts were not working.

good sized room, individual aircon control, insulated against most street noise on floor 22, speedy elevators, good sized TV's, comfy beds, great housekeeping service. Location to subway was so convenient. blackout blinds over big windows were great. neighbourhood felt safe walking at night. Joyeaux coffee shop nearby employees people with special needs - try it out!

bathroom a bit small but ok for one person at a time and the self closing bathroom door was annoying. No overhead lighting made the room dim when we needed illumination to pack early morning. foyer is small when a number of people checking in at once.

We stayed at the 31st floor and the views of 3rd street and the Manhattan skyline were amazing. The property was within close distance of a subway station and various tourist attractions. This also helped us get to and from the JFK airport without paying much for transportation. The front desk personnel were awesome. Thank you for storing our bags until check-in time.

The flat screen TV was too big for the room and blocked part of the amazing views. The rolling curtains looked damaged on the edges. Elevator traffic was an issue during busy times.

The room/bathroom felt newly renovated, the bedding and towels are pristine, and the views from the room were nice. The location is within easy walking distance of all midtown sites. The staff were really friendly as opposed to some other Marriotts I stayed at before. I would also highly recommend "Paris Baguette" nearby for breakfast or quick snacks.

Everything was great. I initially experienced some issues connecting to the internet (this is not unique to this location, it happened at other Marriotts before). The staff here helped me resolve it fast.

Great location. Clean. The 12th floor lobby and amenities are nice and we’re not crowded. Staff were helpful. They stored our bags before our room was ready and after we checked out. I will definitely stay again.

Not sure if this is a “dislike” or a confusion. Breakfast is NOT included. This is confusing because at most Courtyard and similar properties, breakfast is definitely included. The listing says “breakfast included” (just rechecked). I factored in the breakfast when I decided to stay here. Still, I think this is a solid value. We had a large corner room with a pull out bed and great views. Very clean and spacious. But breakfast was not included. Also - this is the second time a hotel took my card for incidentals and recharged me for the room I paid in advance for through Booking. I brought this to the attention of the staff and it was corrected before we left. No problem. This is just a note to double check your bills.

This hotel was beyond amazing. The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. The hotel was exceptionally clean and well taken care of. They were able to accommodate our big party without even batting an eye, and even offered additional services that made things so much easier on us. We had a late flight out and they stored our bags in a secure location while we walked around as well as reserved us a town car to the airport for a flat rate that met us at the hotel when we arrived for our bags. The location was spot on, close enough to my work function that I had no issues getting there and back, and close enough to tourist sights for the kids after. Honestly, I would stay here every time given the choice.

Location is just excellent, local environment is smooth/easy going, not that much hectic and crowdy. Close to the Central Park, Grand Central Station (easy walk with luggage if you arrive at Newark Airport and take Coach bus). Generally, if you are walking person, you may reach all locations in Lower Manhattan on foot. Hotel and hotel amenities are OK, meet all needs. Hotel's special value is hotel personnel, who are easy going, easy in communication, very professional, friendly and very much considerate to guests.

Considering very good price, location is great (4 subway lines just round the block), room was large to Manhattan standards, perfect and large king bed, a little less comfy the sofa-bed for the children. Good Gym and relax lounge on 12th floor with very useful computer and printer available. Microwave was made available in the room on request. Above all extremely good to Manhattan standards, but very good even for worldwide standards, was the crew. Everyone was always greeting us warmly during all our stay. In particular I'd like to mention a lady called Mimi that was on reception on our arrival: I was impressed being warmly greeted and witnessed while waiting a show of efficiency and kindness. While managing checkout of a large group, other people waiting to check-in, the administration that sent her $400 cash in $1 bills, she made everyone feel cared for and even managed to step out to help a lady going through the doors with a pram and suitcase, never loosing a cheerful smile.

Had to ask for an extra blanket (promptly delivered) on the second bed (sofa bed) as it was quite chilly being next to the large window in early January

Many the driver was professional. Staff was very good House keeping was excellent - room cleaned daily. xtra Towels daily. We requested an extra mattress the sleeper was rough. Staff brought everything requested. Excellent overall for this price point in NYC.

Difficult to find charging space. receptacle on lamps didn’t work. receptacles outlets on wall wouldn’t hold a charger. sleeper sofa was painful - staff came through with xtra mattress however.
