The room was very spacious and the bed quite comfortable. There was a kitchenette that was very convenient to have. The toiletries provided were very good quality. The hotel is very well located and has all that is needed. There is a luncheonette next door that is great for a good NY breakfast.

The decor is dated and not to my taste, and the bathroom felt cramped (there is room to combine the bathroom and the "make up alcove" and do a larger bathroom). There was a problem with our first room, so we were moved to another room on a lower floor, and over the entrance, and unfortunately there was a lot of noise from outside. There was also an issue with water pressure and temperature - someone was sent to fix it right away, but the pressure was still a bit low. The fridge was noisy.

We were 2 adults plus 2 children and we had a suite - the room was very spacious for New York standards, sofa was very comfortable for children to sleep, great kitchenette which came handy when we didn’t want to eat out. Very good location with easy access to all NY attractions. We really like the ‘old school’ elements like free toiletries, iron/hairdryer, deposit box, slippers and bathrobes…many modern hotels don’t offer those things anymore. We would definitely stay again!

Only two lifts and sometimes it took ages to get to our room, we could not walk as we were on the 10th floor. A/C was very nosy…we didn’t need it during the night but I reckon it would be a sleep killer in July or August when it is really hot. You can hear some noise from the outside but this is just NY and was not worse than in other hotels we stayed in.

The Kimberly Hotel was great!!! The decor is older baroque style (it’s not a modern boutiquey hotel). But, it was decorated nicely for it’s style and very clean. Awesome location near Central Park, Times Square (but not “in” Times Square), The Rockefeller Center & Plaza, Radio City Music Hall and lots of upscale shopping. Also not too far to Empire State Building. Subway entrance a block away, near main busses and fairly close to Grand Central Station. Room had comfy king bed, and great air conditioner in master bedroom, and in the separate room (we had a one room king suite that was perfect for us…I had the bedroom to myself, and my two teens shared the pull out couch in the separate room…we each had our own TV and door to close us off from the area where the fridge/microwave/hallway were located, which connected to the bathroom…no one had to go through either person’s room/space to get to the bathroom). Hotel had a very good Italian restaurant downstairs and a really cool/hip rooftop bar! There’s also a steakhouse too, but we didn’t try it. Lots of restaurant options nearby on 2nd & 3rd Avenues. I highly recommend THEP Thai restaurant on 2nd Ave & E 75th Street (some of the best Thai food I’ve eaten)! And, Buttercup Bakery on 2nd near E 51st Street has yummy sweets! Also, the meatball sandwich at Pita Grill on 2nd Ave & E 57th Street was the BOMB!! There is a Whole Foods Market on E 57th near 3rd Avenue.

only thing I didn’t like was that the bathroom didn’t have a fan, so it got foggy unless we kept the floor open. but our particular room had a nice jacuzzi tube with jets so that was great!

Our King Suite was a great deal for the price- we had our toddler with us, and having a separate living room/sofa bed made all the difference so he could nap/ go to bed and we could still be awake watching TV etc! It is close enough to everything, including Times Square, but far enough from the noise and lights at night, which worked great for our family. The kitchenette was a such a nice bonus- full with dinnerware and dishwasher perfect for takeout dinners! We had a balcony view which was nice as well. The bed, like I read in other reviews, was pretty amazing. The furniture is oldstyle and classy, we liked it! My toddler's favorite- the shoe shine machine! A great option for a small family!

Maybe just how the old buildings are built, but our bathroom didn't seem to have an exhaust fan, and it got stuffy in there real quick, but such a minor thing. We did fine, but the crib mattresses could use an upgrade.

Very friendly staff. A huge amount of space.. I will definitely recommend this hotel to anybody. I had a little kitchen with a big fridge, which was fabulous. I had to ask for a hot plate though. They could do with a few extra things like dish cloths, and a sharp knife. but they are very accommodating and will provide you with anything you need. comfy beds, soft pillows for once! all perfect. I loved the antique furniture. All very classy and so nice. please do not change the interiors. It is perfect the way it is.!

Sadly, the bath water isn’t hot enough. For a shower it’s absolutely fine but if you want to soak in a hot tub, it just isn’t hot enough. I think it’s probably because of regulations. I know most Americans like showers but I do love a hot bath at the end of the day, and I was only able to stay in the bath for five minutes before getting cold. Even if you run only hot water it still isn’t hot enough.! I was disappointed with the Italian restaurant in the building. Nothing to do with the hotel, but I wouldn’t bother going there again. .

The Kimberly was excellent value for money. Our suite was huge - perfect for a family of 4. The beds were so comfortable, such high quality, even the children’s sofa bed. The housekeeping was excellent, the room was spotless and all other staff were so friendly and helpful. Yes, the hotel style may be a bit old school/dated but the rooms are very well maintained and if the interior was redone I doubt we’d be able to afford this hotel. Overall The Kimberly exceeded our expectations.

The Kimberly is “old school” New York. Exactly as you expect a MidTown hotel to be. We stayed 4 nights when we were in NYC for work. We had a comfortable suite on the 29th floor with great views, loads of space, a small kitchen & a balcony. The Kimberly team is friendly, kind & helpful. We loved hanging out in the roof bar during the day for meetings & to have our Zoom calls with the skyscrapers behind us. A fabulous few days in the Big Apple. We liked everything.

Good location. Rooms clean and well serviced daily. Staff are amazing. I’ve stayed at this hotel on five occasions between 2009 and 2017. Due to the pandemic it’s over 5 years since my last visit; to be greeted with a hug like a friend by the guys in reception was so welcoming. To have the staff at breakfast remember what I and my grandson like to drink is incredible. The Kimberly is like a home away from home and it’s the staff who make it so.

The automatic charge of $150 per night to cover any additional costs but the reception desk staff were helpful with this.

Beautiful looking hotel inside. Loved the antique furniture and it was very clean and quiet for NYC although we didn't have a room facing the street so maybe that was why it was quiet! But we had a lovely stay for one night. Staff were friendly.

I think the hotel is overpriced. Our stay was on an offer for one night. We also wanted to checkout the rooftop bar but it was fully booked. It was a Saturday although for guests I thought we would have a better chance booking in. Coffee machine broken in our room!

Clean, comfortable, queen suite plenty of room. Would have liked an onsite drinks lounge to retire to in evening that would allow 12 yr old to join us so we could have a drink, play family cards etc. Kids not allowed in roof terrace understandably. Great location.

Plug in bath/whirlpool broken. Room a bit dated but knew that beforehand and sacrificed for great sq footage
